RE: [QUAD-L] Sunshine
I think we all love the sunshine! I did before my accident and still love summer. The warmer the better. I had a large area of squamous cell carcinoma removed a few years ago on my shin and have had multiple places removed on my shins since. I try to limit my time in direct sunlight but I am not too good at it. The only thing I like about winter is watching snow fall and it’s supposed to snow Sunday. I have a desk heater for my desk in the winter and sleep with a heating pad (I know it’s a no no. LOL) Hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Hi, LoriI was curious to know how this dog has been working out for you so far--I think you said it was a German Shepard? and your other Trained dogs were Golden's . I miss not having a dog, My Red Doberman Pinscher passed a few years ago, Her name was Sabra and she was smart and Obeyed very well for me. Dan H. *** Missouri - Area. Re: [QUAD-L] Sunshine
I forgot to say something else or a couple of things. Firstly, Shelly, the only time I get too warm is overnight at times even when the air conditioning on and a ceiling fan. It also helps with my chronic pain. My husband got different sizes of these for me: I have 4 of these (they are smaller ones): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FHZNQO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8=1=alm I have 1 of these (A bigger one) : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LX65QE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8=1=alm For me they are kept in the freezer. If I get too warm I put them over my upper right back but I lay on my back and I don't have anyone to put them on my back so I leave them on my front to give me comfort and to help cool me down. They warm up really quickly if my body is too hot but they helped me tremendously. Lastly, last year and this year we lost at least 3 members of this list (Steve Oldaker, Bobbie Humphreys, etc.) that became great friends of mine who I spoke with on the phone many many times. Please help remember them and their unexpected losses this year! ~Lori On Thu, Dec 10, 2020 at 6:41 PM Philip D Wells wrote: > Ditto > > > > Me too ! > > > > Direct sunshine, through a window if necessary. > > > > Yeah, love it, have to drag myself away from it to achieve anything. > > > > > > > > > > Best > > > > Philip D Wells > > 280 Paora Road > > RD 37 > > Okato > > Taranaki > > New Zealand 4381 > > > > philipdwe...@gmail.com > > > > > > > > *From:* Shelly Kerchner [mailto:shelly.kerch...@yahoo.com] > *Sent:* Friday, 11 December 2020 2:09 PM > *To:* quad-list@eskimo.com; Greg > *Subject:* Re: [QUAD-L] Sunshine > > > > Greg, > > LOL! Re: [QUAD-L] Sunshine
Sun, is good. Its good for you. It's a great source of Vit D. But like all those thing that are good for you too much may not be healthy. For example, when its 20 degrees outside and 12 inches of snow on the ground, but its sunny... being outdoors may not be the best. Just be sure that you and your body doesn't overheat.Stay Strong-Live Long!Best Wishes In a message dated 12/10/2020 6:46:09 PM Central Standard Time, g...@eskimo.com writes: I am so addicted to sunshine, I find it hard to stay inside on sunny days. Re: [QUAD-L] Sunshine
I hear you Greg, I love the Sunshine, in Spring and Summer I'm out in it for hours. My wife can't take the heat so she stay's indoors in air conditioning when it's hot out. Even air conditioning makes me feel cold. Winter is a long 4 months stuck indoors most the time, but then I always cheer up thinking hang in there-- Spring will get here and I can get out with the birds n bee's once again. LOL.
