It looks like you are running from the source, rather than from the

[Radiant] Extensions in SVN: add by co or export?

2008-09-11 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
What is the best way to add extensions managed with svn to a project, co
or export? I am about to pull in Chris's SNS extension and would like to
set it up so that I can stay in sync with his changes. AFAIK, svn update
doesn't work on an export. I could be wrong, I am no svn expert.

When I read the Dreamhost Tutorial, Casper Fabricius suggested running
from the source because gems can be troublesome to manage on
Dreamhost. However, I don't think that's an issue anymore.

Try running it from vendor instead.

You can create an instance of radiant with
'radiant my_site'
'cd my_site'
'rake radiant:freeze:gems'

That will make a copy of the radiant source in my_site/vendor/radiant
And just incase you are wondering, Rails is bundled in my_site/vendor/
radiant/vendor/rails

That would allow you to 'unfreeze' later, or even do
'radiant:freeze:edge' to get new features that haven't made it into an
official release yet.

Hi Nate

I seem to remember that this is because you can't use a radius tag
inside that. On the other hand, what I have used before is to link to
the image once so that I can get the actual URL for it and just use that
URL directly.

I'm not sure if there is a better way.

Cheers,
Mohit.

Are paperclipped images stored in the file system or in the db? I could
not find the image I had uploaded in the file system. I'll look again.

In the past I had used radius tags to specify background images when I
was using the old page_attachments extension: r:find
url=/assets/r:assets:url name=image_x.png //r:find . Just an
FYI. I was surprised that the same kind of thing doesn't work with
paperclipped. No biggie, I'll just find a different way to specify bg
images.

Ah, I forgot! My note was related to using page attachments. I've not
used paper clipped, and when I used Page Attachments, I had some problem
similar to yours when I tried to use it within the stylesheet.

However, at other places, it worked OK, I think. I'm sorry I just
didn't notice Paperclipped!

Hopefully, you'll get an answer soon :)

Mohit.
