spoke-prep applied. The hubs are Shimano 400 130 mm REAR, and Deore front-

(spacer included): Sapim Race DB 2.0-1.8-2.0 silver spokes, brass nipples.
The rims are new but a little shopworn—no decal on the front wheel. I’ve

[RBW] Seat angle

I was watching the Asheville video- looks like a great event. I’m sure we
could lure 10’s to the DesMoines metro some  weekend for a ride. :-) Corn
and beans are a pretty sight you know….

Anyhow- my mind wondered to the range (one?) of nose up  brooks saddles in
pictures. What am I not understanding? No judgement. Could I make that
work? When working with friends that are new riders- they seem to want to
have a too high of a saddle height and tilt it down.

Comments or feedback from those that nose up works for?

Killing time as a passenger traveling to a Shriner’s event.

[RBW] FS Vintage 22.5” Trek 1983 620 frame fork and headset, Reynolds 531 tubing

22.5” Trek 1983 620 frame fork and headset, Reynolds 531 tubing, including
the friction Suntour shifters. Excellent condition. Is the a Roadeo
replacement? Not sure, but it does ride great and is a very versatile
platform. Note the really neat cast BB and crown. Standard reach brakes
nutted or recessed will work. Its 35c tires for sure and maybe 38c
depending on the tire/rim. If you know these frames, they ride like a
dream. Pictures and catalog info included w Geo chart at the link.

Other details-One rear drop-out adjuster is bent.  I have a clamp-on
adaptor for shifters/cable stop if interested or needed. $17

$425 plus actual shipping. I’ll carefully pack everything.

Also available are the original Suntour XC front and rear derailleurs $20
front and $55 rear.

Suntour Superbe brake levers and calipers.(not superbe pro)Mathauser brake

I'm looking for a Banana bag in good condition or better. I see Riv. have
new blue bags, looking to see if there is anything else a bit more
budget-friendly. I am flexible on color and brand, I know there have been

[RBW] FS: Custom Steel 50cm Road Bike with Campagnolo Veloce $800

This beautiful bike is completely silver brazed with Henry James lugs and
front and rear and Henry James stainless dropouts F/R. The tubset is an
extra-light Vitus series and not intended for a heavy rider. This
custom-built bike is a 50 cm built around 559mm (26”) wheels specifically
designed for a female wanting a shorter top tube with no toe clip overlap.
It was designed for a person the 5’-6” range. The Imron paint is fully
clear-coated and is in excellent shape. The build kit is a FULL Campagnolo
Veloce groupset!  This is a classic vintage steel bike that rides great!

The specifications are as follows:
The 50 cm seat tube measured c to c
The top tube measures 51 cm c to c
The seat angle is 74 degrees
The head tube angle is  73 degrees.
The standover height is measured at 75cm

The bottom bracket height is 32cm. The bottom bracket drop at  6.5 mm(Axle
height is 25.5 cm). It fits Ritchey 26”x 25 c tires which are readily
available. 26” wheels (559 mm ISO or bead seat diameter)

with a rear shimano hub-not sure of the model-but would guess lx? It is a
shimano parallax style hub 135 mm wide. The front was a then fancy machine
tech OS hub -blue color. The wheels include the quick-release skewers and
the shown 8 spd cassette that is dirty-but decent shape. The rims are
drilled for presta tubes (the small valves-but can be drilled for
schrade(the larger car style), they have cloth velox rim strips installed
 and do not appear to have any cracks or dings on the rims that I can see.
 Not much else to say-but could be a good project or repair set. $85

[RBW] Late to the Jacket Party

I could not sleep spending that kind of money on a riv jacket- just my
nature.  But...I would accept it as a gift from a family memberhint,
hint.

I actually really like the Brompton one, tried it on in a shop and loved
it. Actually felt I could wear the thing and not feel too weird.

OK- I admit- I can be impulsive when purchasing bikes.  Is that not normal
on the list, no?   In any case,  I have a bike I've had for over a month
and no miles on it.  I actually put more miles on the bike at the shop
testing it-befor ordering mine.

 Mavic's Aksium Race wheelset $199 obo 10 spd. These are off of a race
bike and are the extra set and I no longer need them. They have about
300 easy miles on them and are as new. They are in excellent - almost
perfect as new condition. They do not include the tires or 10 sp
cassette-but could for the right price.

Road/ Cross wheel set. The rims are Sun model ME14A's black- silver
machined sidewalls. Alloy nipples and 14/15 DB Wheelsmith spokes. They
have about 1k miles on them. Straight and even tension. They are not
perfect- but pretty darn good. Rear hub has only 300 miles on it-
8/9/10 speed Tiarga hub silver with 130 mm road bike spacing. Front is
a gray Deore LX. Skewers included. One rim is missing decal- rear has
it as pictured. $120 shipped

Very nice 26 rims. 1 pair (2) Syncros 26 MTB rims  Lil' Snapper
model new-   23 mm wide
13 mm high machined sides- welded and machined seam.

[RBW] FS- Interesting Duluth Pack Large Duffel- (luggage not bike luggage!)

A little holiday cleaningbear with me as I post a few other items
this week. The rest will all be bike parts!

I have a Duluth Pack sportsman's extended duffel.  It is a larger bag!
It is handmade in Duluth MN.  It measures roughly 15.5Hx31W x 13 D
It is listed for $305 new.  Mine is maybe 6 or 7 years old and does
not include the shoulder strap.  Several pictures to give you an idea

Continental Ultra Race 700x25c - 3 tires- 1 new in box 2 used 300
miles on them all 3 for only $50!


FS Mavic's Aksium Race wheelset $170 plus shipping. 10 spd
These are off of a Salsa road bike I recently sold.  They have about
300 miles on them and are as new.  I have some pictures at the link
above.

 Road/ Cross wheel set.  Sun rims ME14A's black- silver machined
sidewalls.  Alloy nipples and 14/15 DB Wheelsmith spokes. About 1k
miles on them.  Straight and even tension.  Not perfect- pretty darn
good.  Rear hub has only 500 miles on it- 8/9/10 speed Tiarga hub
silver.  Front is a grey LX.  Skewers included.  $99 shipped! Front is
missing rim decal- rear has it as pictured.

1 pair (2) Syncros 26 MTB rims  Lil' Snapper  model new-   23 mm wide
13 mm high machined sides- welded and machined seam.
 Black with silver sidewalls.  32 holes eyelets.  $48 pair.

Real Racing hub- 32 hole sealed bearings black - alloy cassette
carrier- light.  800 miles- 135 mm wide very good conditionroughed
up on the cass. bod.  $20 (was over 150 new)
