with my domain account.
In log I found:

Authentication Method:Active Directory
Domain name:domain.local
Use TLS for authentication: with and without same result
Domain controller:dc.domain.local

I added ldap.set_option(ldap.OPT_X_TLS_REQUIRE_CERT,
ldap.OPT_X_TLS_ALLOW in /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/
ReviewBoard-1.6.3-py2.4.egg/reviewboard/accounts/backends.py to work
with TSL

Re: Migrating Review Board Database

2012-01-20 Thread Chris Baron
Thanks for the responses.

From the command line, I did an rb-site --version and '0.1' was
returned.

How would I let django evolutions do its thing ?

What will need to be done will depend on the specific version you are
moving from, and what is missing/different in the database. I did a
 migration from a pre-1.0 to 1.5.5. Though it wasn't 0.1, if it had a
version it probably would have been something like 0.9.

I detailed the upgrade in this
 post:http://groups.google.com/group/reviewboard/msg/5b445e99632190ab

If your old version is close enough to 1.0 you may not need to
manually manipulate the database at all, just install a new site with a
dump of the old database, and let the Django evolutions do their thing. If
your old version is really, really old, there may be a lot of manual DB
manipulation. I was pretty lucky that there was only one table missing and
I could copy the whole table from a new install.

Can't install; FTP blocked

2012-01-20 Thread Laurent
Hi,

I'm trying to install ReviewBoard on a new server here (at work). We
must go through a proxy to access the outside, and direct FTP is
blocked.

I've been able to install most components by supplying an HTTP proxy
to various tools, but I've hit a wall with P4PythonInstaller.

From looking at the code, it seems to connect via FTP to
ftp.perforce.com to grab some files. This is blocked in our network,
but could be possible through the HTTP proxy.

I believe there's two solutions, both of which I would like an answer
for:
- Which files are actually needed? I might manage to grab the files
from another computer and move them to the linux box hosting this, so
that the setup.py file doesn't try to download them.
- How to tell the script to use our proxy instead? Or maybe grab the
files from HTTP directly? I assume perforce publishes those on the
website too.

Thanks!

rbssh *really* slow

2012-01-20 Thread Alexandru Palade
I had set up a ReviewBoard server with a subversion deployment via
svnserve and ssh. They are both on the same server. Everything is
working OK, minus the fact that is running incredibly slow. The VPS
I'm running on is a cheap one, so I don't have big expectations from
it, but I encountered something strange.

Being on the server, I narrowed down where exactly it was slow.
Everytime rbssh is invoked, the operation gets slow. So I tried the
following:

ssh reviewboard@127.0.0.1 (runs under a second)
rbssh reviewboard@127.0.0.1 (runs in about 30s)

Looking at the stacktrace of rbssh, it appears that is stuck waiting
for the connection in the paramiko library. So it might be a paramiko
problem, rather than a rbssh problem, but I am just wondering if
anyone has any ideas why could it go so slow. The authentification is
made with keys.

Thank you for this great product,
Alex

Issue resolved.

In Ubuntu11.10 (at least in my version of installation), it seems that
apache runs as a process under a user called daemon. So, I changed
the ownership of data directory to this user, and it starts
working. Thanks for all the help.

It's best not to use apache2ctl to start and stop httpd. In Ubuntu
 11.10
you can use 'service' and 'update-rc.d'.

 To enable apache2 on boot:
 sudo update-rc.d apache2 enable

 To disable apache2 on boot:
 sudo update-rc.d apache2 disable

 To start apache2 manually:
 sudo service apache2 start

You can replace 'start' with stop, restart, reload (or graceful),
 status,
 and a few others.

In older Ubuntu and Debian versions without the 'service' command you
 can
 do:
 sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 start

For reference, on Red Hat-based systems the equivalent commands are:
 sudo chkconfig httpd on
 sudo service httpd start

commitinfo invokes a script that simply does this:

 post-review -dn --server=http://rbserver--repository-

If I manually run that post-review command from within my checkout
directory, it works fine. However, when I try to commit a file, it
 fails:

  RBTools 0.3.4
  Home = /var/cvs
  svn info :pserver:user:password@cvsserver/usr/local/cvs/repository
  git rev-parse --git-dir

No supported repository could be access at the supplied url.

I'm sure I'm overlooking something trivial, but what is it?

post-review running on ubnutu server not posting review requests

2012-01-20 Thread Andrew Murray
Hi All,

I'm having problems understanding exactly how post-review should work
as all attemtpts I make to use it don't seem to work as I expect.

I have an ubuntu 11.10 x64 server on which I'm running the review
board website via apache, I have path.to.reviewboardwebsite in the
below command in the host file and I'm using subversion - the checkout
doesn't exist on the server, instead I'm providing the repo url and
the branch url in the command below.

This is the command I'm issuing.

post-review --summary=summary --description=description --
repository-url=svn://somerepourl --server=http://
path.to.reviewboardwebsite --username=somebody --password=password --
target-people=andrewmurray --branch=svn://branch/url --revision-
range=3919:4067 --publish

I don't get any errors or feedback from the terminal, instead I get a
massive ream of what looks like code being echoed to the terminal
(potentially the output of a diff operation?) and it eventually stops.
I don't know if it's of any use but the last thing echoed is svn:
'diff' returned 2\n] At this point, due to no errors I'm assuming
that it has created the new review request and that when I browse to
the review board website I'll see the new review request. However,
there are no review requests listed at all.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I might
fix it?

Many thanks,
Andy

Ah. Ignore that. That's the version of the rb-site tool, not of the site

what version you have. It's right after Review Board. If it says beta,
it's pre-1.0 somewhere.

What will need to be done will depend on the specific version you are
moving from, and what is missing/different in the database. I did a
  migration from a pre-1.0 to 1.5.5. Though it wasn't 0.1, if it had a

I detailed the upgrade in this post:

If your old version is close enough to 1.0 you may not need to
manually manipulate the database at all, just install a new site with a
dump of the old database, and let the Django evolutions do their thing.
 If
your old version is really, really old, there may be a lot of manual DB
manipulation. I was pretty lucky that there was only one table missing
 and
I could copy the whole table from a new install.

Describe the enhancement and the motivation for it.
The purpose of the icons in the column header is not immediately obvious.
It might make sense to add title attributes in addition to the alt
attributes to bring up a tooltip in at least Chrome and Firefox.

Just to clarify this issue before I started working on it:
The problem here is that in Description and Testing Done, any string
that is matched as URLs are linkified by the function linkifyText in
reviews.js. By linkifying the URLs, an anchor tag is created, but without
target=_blank attribute. So the fix is simply modifying the review.js

Issue 2460 in reviewboard: Selecting comparison with latest revision from a comparison between older revisions in a draft

Status: New
Owner:
Labels: Type-Defect Priority-Medium

New issue 2460 by thesa...@gmail.com: Selecting comparison with latest
revision from a comparison between older revisions in a draft

http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=2460

What version are you running?
ReviewBoard 1.7a0

What's the URL of the page containing the problem?
Clicking r4 from Changes between r2 and: moves you from /r/4/diff/2-3/ to
/r/4/diff/[4]%20diff%20r2-[5]%20diff%20r3/

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a code review and publish
2. Push changes to the same code review and publish
3. Push changes to the same code review but do NOT publish
4. Click 2 under Changes between r3 and:
5. Click 1 under Changes between r2 and:
6. Click 3 under Changes between r1 and: (the latest revision)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expectation is that this link will lead to /r/4/diff/1-3/
The link it leads to is instead /r/4/diff/[3]%20diff%20r1-[4]%20diff%20r2/

What operating system are you using? What browser?
Using Linux 3.1.8-1-ARCH on Chromium 16.0.912.75

Please provide any additional information below.
This occurs with code reviews with higher number of revisions, but always
on a draft and always when clicking on the latest revision while viewing a
revision between two of the older revisions. This seems to happen whenever
you explicitly select the latest revision (e.g.,
/r/4/diff/[5]%20diff%20r3-None/).
