Dhananjay,

You can add PDF files to a review request with Update Add File. These
will have a Review link, which will open up the PDF review UI.

Alternatively, assuming a fairly modern browser, you can drag-and-drop PDF
files from your file manager or your desktop onto the review request.

 name/anotherFolder/files.cs

And ReviewBoard generates diff with name/anotherFolder/files.cs

 My ReviewBoard version is 1.7.21

Do you have any idea how to workaround it?

Create Review-Request automatically on pushing to git-hub

2014-03-20 Thread ben . bracha
Hey, what's up?

I know this question was probably raised several times in the past, but
after a long search I couldn't find a clear answer.

We are working with ReviewBoard and SVN for quite long time. We use a
post-commit hook in order to automatically post review-requests to the
review-board.
Each developer adds to the commit message a string like: RB: username,
and our script creates a review request targeted for username.

We are now moving to github (using private repositories).
I see that ReviewBoard has support for git-hub: I can configure my
repository and such.
But - how can I trigger an automatic review-request on each push?

I can see that GitHub has a webhooks support - so I can trigger some
POST command on each push. Probably this can be integrated with
ReviewBoard API, although I'm not sure how we can parse the commit message
in order to open the review-request for a specific user.

Does anyone has a working example? It should be quite common, I wonder how
come I couldn't find anything clear on this.

Thanks

2014-03-20 Thread David Saltares Márquez
I don't have rights to commit to the root of our P4 repository, only to the
root of our project. Can the file be there and run rbt post from there?

On Wednesday, 19 March 2014 19:54:36 UTC, Christian Hammond wrote:

 Hi David,

The .reviewboardrc file is one you create. You'll want to place that in
the root of the repository and commit it.

If the Path field in the repository entry on Review Board doesn't
perfectly match what you have locally, you'll need to set 'REPOSITORY =
...' in .reviewboardrc to match the Name field of the repository. We
 generally recommend this anyway.

You can also just use 'rbt setup-repo' to get this going.

Can't upload diff for GitLab repos

2014-03-20 Thread Aj Silvan
Hi,

I have recently moved some projects from svn to git. I'm are using GitLab.
I was already using Rb and, as latest versions support GitLab, I have
upgraded it to version 1.7.22.
GitLab we have is version 6.0.2.

Problem I'm facing is that I'm not able to create reviews for GitLab repos.
If I try from UI, uploading a diff, RB tells me: The file filename
(rindex in the diff :S) could not be found in the repository.
and if I try using rbt, for example: rbt post --revision-range=HEAD..SHA
commit, RB tells me: ERROR:root:Error creating review request: HTTP 500
Log says this:

Having trouble with Reviewboard build encoutering a lot of 404 and 403 errors

2014-03-20 Thread Josephine O'Para

*What version are you running?*
1.7.21
*What's the URL of the page containing the problem?* Several. I use the URL
reviewboard where that represents my dahboard
These are examples or how I hit 404 or 403 errors

 http://reviewboard/dashboard/?view=starred
http://reviewboard/static/djblets/images/datagrid/sort_desc_primary.png
http://phr-anthem:9090/static/djblets/images/datagrid/checkmark.png

*What steps will reproduce the problem?*
The errors show up. this is a new build and fter a migration and upgrade using
easy install
2. You'll get a 404 error

*What is the expected output? What do you see instead?*
I need this application to at least function without errors

*What operating system are you using? What browser?*
OS X. Chrome.
ReviewBoard is installed on RHEL 6

The easy_install upgreade /reviewboard-site did not give any errors other than
suggest a re-install of djblets which I did

At this point I am completely clueless on how to go about solving this problems.

These are just some of the errors I am getting

Thanks. any help or suggestion will be greatly appreciated

Re: Final Release RB 2.0

2014-03-20 Thread Christian Hammond
We don't have a date in mind. It really depends on how the final RCs go.

I'm out of town, but we'll be doing RC2 after I get back. We're hoping it's
the final RC, in which case the final 2.0 will be shortly after.

reviewboard 2.0 Beta3 issue adding svn repo causes 500 error

2014-03-20 Thread Tom Moore
First, I know that RC1 is out. We are using Beta3 for a class in QA, and

Re: reviewboard 2.0 Beta3 issue adding svn repo causes 500 error

2014-03-20 Thread Tom Moore
It was python-subvertpy_0.8.10-1. I'm running ubuntu 12.4 LTS and that was
the version of SubvertPy that got installed by default. I switched to
PySVN and it fixed the error. Thanks for the assist!

 Hi Tom,

I really have no idea what that's about, but it comes from some version
SubvertPY. If you use PySVN, you won't see that error.

I would love to know what's going on there, though...

What version of SubvertPY is installed? I see a commit removing that error
 from 2012.

Thanks for your reply. When I added the pdf file in the review I could see

it mean that the power pack patch was not installed properly?

Hi Christian,

I have verified email address of all users and they are correct and none of
it is empty. I still face this issue where mails are not sent

they dont get when a comment is added. Lot of users are complaining about
this as they are missing review requests and updates. I tried to remove
sendmail and installed postfix as mail agent on my RHEL 5.5 review board
server. But that doesnt seem to fix the issue either. I still see the error
below

 Hi,

Some of our users are complaining that they are not getting any mail
notifications when review comments are added to an ongoing review. However
these users get email alets when the review is created/posted. I took a
look at the email settings and they seem to be fine. Any other settings i
need to check to resolve this issue?

 Thanks,
 Shravanthi
