2005-04-15 Thread Raine

Hiya Brickey,

It's so amazing to me; while searching via search engines for
alternative methods of treating cataracts (specifically in dogs) I got
absolutely nothing. When I began taking my plight to various alternative
lists, I found there are treatments abound! And most are very simplistic.
If only there were enough hours in a day to create a website covering
these methods, with scientific and anecdotal evidence, for the others
that are searching...

My precious girl lost her other eye to glaucoma. I searched, begged and
pleaded for an alternative option, but general consensus was that there
isn't one, and we settled on eneucleation to eliminate the pain, and the
need for drugs. Between her diagnosis of glaucoma, and the removal of
the eye, the cataract in her *good* eye rendered her blind. She was
pronounced a good candidate for cataract surgery (at age 12!), but at
$1000 it simply isn't a possibility.

I so appreciate hearing these testimonies. They give me hope, and good
ideas.

Hi Faith, I am very interested in your maps of hands and feet. My brother
(who they also said has neuropathy in his feet) is numb and in pain from the
mid calf down. Years ago he had a lyme vaccine (they have since stopped
giving) they were giving out to Sewerage treatment plant workers. I truly
believe it is from this that he suffers the numbness. It was enlightening
to know the difference between neuropathy and parethesia. Thanks. Debbie

I'd suggest you give it a try.
Do you know any (LICENSED!) Reflexologist in your area?
I did without license for fiteen years, first on myself and then on
others, and had good results. Now, more advanced, and protected by my
license I see miracle after miracle.

If your feet are too sensitive, you can have your hands treated.
I can send you scans of the maps of hand and feet, so that you'd know
where to work, to get the lymph-flow going, and relieve the pains.

We work with five treatments initially, and that works well.

Hi,

First, I send my thanks to Brickey for this idea. I have a friend, a
fellow member of our church who is in his 70's and had restricted vision due to
cataracts. He is a vet and the folks managing his case would not allow surgery
because it wasn't that bad yet but it was sufficiently bad that he could only
drive in daylight hours.

Due to your suggestion, I bought a bottle of flax seed oil and took it to
him at his home a couple of years ago; asking him to put a drop in each eye
every day. He said that he had to do the treatment just prior to retiring in
the evening because the flax seed oil caused his vision to become a bit blurry
for a little while; but when he awoke his vision was as clear as before putting
the flax seed oil into his eyes. Within three months there was noticeable
improvement. Two years later, his cataracts (if there are any), are no longer
a problem.

Speaking of looking for solutions to various health issues (someone
mentioned this earlier), dear ones, I have found that searching the SilverList
archives always presents good ideas. Thank you Mike, and the folks who make
them available!!

Best regards,
  :) Mar

Re: CSCataracts - Linseed oil is not Flax seed oil

2005-04-15 Thread Grant

Linseed oil from the hardware store is NOT the same thing as flax oil
from the Health Food Store.

Linseed oil is as I recall, POISON if eaten/ingested, while flax seed
oil can be healthfull if propery produced and stored.

The both come from flax, but the difference is how they are
manufactured. I believe linseed oil is boiled, and changed chemically
in that way.

Re: CSRe CS:. Linseed/flaxseed oil

2005-04-15 Thread M. G. Devour
As Harold and Grant have both pointed out, linseed oil from the paint
store is not safe to take internally. I've seen a report or two of
people using it in the eye without apparent harm, but, to be safe, I'd
strongly advise buying the edible, unprocessed Flax-Seed oil from the
health food store.

Barlean's is one of several good brands. Whichever you buy, it ought to
be refrigerated before and after you buy it to extend shelf-life. I've
seen flax seed oil at a local Trader Joe's sitting on the shelf, un-
refrigerated. That turned me off.

One other suggestion I remember reading was to allow the flax seed oil
to sit for a while and to decant the lighter fraction that will rise to
the top of the bottle into another container to use for eye drops. I
think it was supposed to work better.

You are basically providing high quality lipids that gradually displace
the deposits left by the unhealthy, processed oils that you've been
eating in your diet. Which suggests replacing them in your diet might
be a strategy to prevent the problem to begin with. sigh

Linseed oil that is boiled is flax oil that has had Japan Dryers
added to make it dry when used in the wood staining/painting/Art
 trades;and is poisonous.Why it is called boiled I can't remember now;so
long ago. As a teen-ager I can remember the folks getting the un-boiled
Linseed oil from the store to use internally. Harold

Be well,

Mike D.

  Hiya Brickey,

It's so amazing to me; while searching via search engines for
alternative methods of treating cataracts (specifically in dogs) I got
absolutely nothing. When I began taking my plight to various alternative
lists, I found there are treatments abound! And most are very simplistic.
If only there were enough hours in a day to create a website covering
these methods, with scientific and anecdotal evidence, for the others that
are searching...

My precious girl lost her other eye to glaucoma. I searched, begged and
pleaded for an alternative option, but general consensus was that there
isn't one, and we settled on eneucleation to eliminate the pain, and the
need for drugs. Between her diagnosis of glaucoma, and the removal of the
eye, the cataract in her *good* eye rendered her blind. She was pronounced
a good candidate for cataract surgery (at age 12!), but at $1000 it simply
isn't a possibility.

I so appreciate hearing these testimonies. They give me hope, and good
ideas.

  Thanks guys!

My dog was also one eyed, cataract covered her pupil. I bought regular
linseed oil a gallon at Home Base (a hardware store) in their paint section
and filled a 1 ounce bottle with an eye dropper. Every day she got one drop
in her eye for at least two months. Her eyelids became crusty and I just
stopped treating her. I was astonished to see the cataract shrank to a pin
point and after several more weeks totally was gone. After seeing this I
also used linseed oil (Flaxseed oil) in my eyes. DR said I had a bunch of
small cataracts growing in both eyes. I had a yearly check up about 5 weeks
later and DR said NO CATARACTS. Since then about 5 years ago the cataracts
are coming back in my eyes, I now make my own CS so I use CS + 10% DMSO in
my eye wash cup, cataracts are still there but not growing.

When I treated my dog I did not even refrigerate the linseed oil. I
found that it goes rancid later so when I treated myself I kept the bottle
refrigerated. I guess that our garage was cold enough when I treated my dog
to act like a refrigerator.

Linda,
In addition to the Beck brain tuner, you might want to consider sauna
therapy.

In the course of doing research for my book on sauna therapy, I was amazed
at how many toxins -- and how much of them -- are released through sweat. In
fact, an entire program was developed using saunas and nutrition

to help drug addicts recover from their cravings.

Green chlorophyll drinks are also suggested -- anything to clean out the
cellular debris and help restore organ and gland function.

CSJudge Strikes Down FDA Ban on Ephedra.... (Ruling Threatens to Boost Durbin's Bill When its Reintroduced)

2005-04-15 Thread Marshall Dudley
IAHF Webmaster: Breaking News, Codex Emergency, USA and All Countries,
What to Do

IAHF List: I am quite happy to learn of the court's decision to unban
low dose ephedra. (see news story below- also note upcoming IAHF radio
shows below) It was absurd when ephedra (the herb ma huang) was banned,
especially given that it is far safer than ephedrine which is found in a
slew of OTC cold preparations and which really IS dangerous.

At the same time, however, this court ruling will help to push Durbin's
bill when it gets reintroduced sometime this spring under a new bill
number (was S.722) (Will let you know the moment its reintroduced under
a new # so you can help kill it.)

While this is great news that the court overturned the ban on ephedra, I
urge all Americans on the IAHF list to email the form letters from the
following 2 websites in an effort to kill CAFTA and the FTAA. FTAA
threatens to create a carbon copy of the EU Dictatorship in our
hemisphere, and this would be the main vehicle for ushering in Codex
harmonization.

We have little leverage over the UNELECTED BUREAUCRATS from the world's
FDA's who will be delegates at the 28th General Session of Codex in Rome
in July, but we DO have leverage over state and federal officials and we
CAN kill CAFTA and the FTAA- we HAVE to or it won't just be our dietary
supplement laws that will be harmonized to international standards, it
will be ALL of our laws.

See http://www.stoptheftaa.org and also
http://www.citizen.org/trade/cafta/
Between both of these organizations, they cover the whole political
spectrum. Please send both of their form letters from their sites, and
also write your own HAND WRITTEN letter to your Senators because they
could hold a FAST TRACK vote on CAFTA in MAY. Please forward this alert
widely.

STORY ON JUDGE LIFTING THE BAN ON EPHEDRA:
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=storyu=/nm/20050415/ts_nm/health_ephedra_dc_2
Court Says FDA Ephedra Ban Too Broad

26 minutes ago Top Stories - Reuters

By Susan Heavey

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Food and Drug Administration failed to prove
certain low dose ephedra supplements are unsafe, a U.S. court said in
a ruling announced on Thursday that could allow some types of the
controversial weight loss pill back on the market.

The agency's decision to ban all ephedra dietary supplements --
regardless of dose -- until manufacturers could demonstrate a benefit
is contrary to the clear intent of Congress, the court said in its
decision issued on Wednesday.

Nutraceutical International Corp., a leading supplier of dietary
supplements, which filed the suit challenging the agency's ban, posted
the ruling on its Web site on Thursday.

The ruling comes one year after FDA officials banned the controversial
weight loss pill. It lifts the restriction on ephedra supplements with
10 milligrams or less of the active ingredient, but at least one doctor
said that even low doses of the pills could be abused.

It was not clear if the FDA would challenge the ruling, but a
spokeswoman for the agency said it was reviewing the judge's decision.

FDA officials have linked ephedra to death, heart attacks and strokes,
but manufacturers have said it is safe when used as directed and have
promoted it for shedding pounds, boosting energy and enhancing athletic
performance.

The ruling clarified that the FDA ... cannot treat dietary supplements
like drugs or medical devices, Nutraceutical President Bruce Hough
said.

Unlike prescription medicines, supplements do not have to be proven safe
before they can be sold. The government must show a supplement is too
risky to force it off the market.

Judge Tena Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah
ruled the FDA could not place the burden to prove safety on dietary
supplement manufacturers as it does for drug and device makers.

Instead, the agency must establish that (ephedra supplements) pose a
significant or unreasonable risk by a preponderance of the evidence,
Campbell wrote. In the case of low dose versions of ephedra, the FDA
failed to meet that test, the judge said.

UNREASONABLE RISK

The ruling sparked renewed debate over the stimulant.

A low dose is almost ridiculous in that the potential for using any
amount by taking multiple pills still remains, said Dr. Julian Bailes,
a former National Football League consultant and physician.

Ephedra remains a very suspect and dangerous supplement, said Bailes,
now a neurosurgeon

diabetic neuropathy. My therapist said he recently treated a woman who had
no feeling from toes to knees, and her doctors had given up. Before long,
she once again had feeling in her feet!

http://www.diabetesincontrol.com/annodyne/anodyne10_31_01.php

There are also Anodyne units for sale or rent. (Bring lots of
money.) However, on the Internet, you can find generic units which sell
for a tiny fraction of the cost of the patented article. Even E-Bay
features them. I have friends who are reporting relief for numerous
painful conditions using them, and if my problems flare up again, I will be
there bidding on one to use right at home.

I hope you find some thing useful from this. I have a nephew who is very
ill and in the process of being diagnosed with Lyme. His (idiot) doctor
doesn't think he has it, but every single symptom he has was on the Lyme
checklist from one of the Lyme sites I researched for him. It is only a
matter of time before they leave that close-minded psuedo-professional and
pursue a specialist in Lyme Disease. Of course, CS was the first thing I
recommended to them and he is now buying his own CS unit! If you can offer
some other ideas in addition, that you found helpful for combatting

Hi all,

Why would this site say to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day? I know
people are supposed to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day any
way. But how does this pertain to colloidal silver? What is a microna?

American Longevity's Majestic Earth Colloidal Silver is made with the
highest quality ingredients available. This product has been laboratory
tested confirming 50 parts per million of pure colloidal silver with an
average particle size of .0001 Microna. Our Colloidal Silver contains
De-ionized water and pure microna fine silver in suspension. When taking
colloidal silver be sure to drink 8 - 10 glasses of water per day.
Colloidal Silver is a popular dietary supplement and American Longevity
is proud to now have available one of the best Colloidal Silver products
on the market.

Hi faith,

Could you send me the maps. I am very interested in learning about the
movement of lymph as well. I am the one with spleen enlargement, no
gallbladder and sharp pains in my feet as well. The spleen has been
said to not be diseased but likely enlarged due to infection. But as
long as I can remember the ball under my left rib has always been there.

G Murray

I'd suggest you give it a try.

Do you know any (LICENSED!) Reflexologist in your area?

I did without license for fiteen years, first on myself and then on
others, and had good results. Now, more advanced, and protected by my
license I see miracle after miracle.

If your feet are too sensitive, you can have your hands treated.

I can send you scans of the "maps" of hand and feet, so that you'd know
where to work, to get the lymph-flow going, and relieve the pains.

We work with five treatments initially, and that works well.

Love

Faith

Cayce got his knowledge while in a trance. Anything can happen when in

He was also given reincarnation, which IMHO is a lie. Cayce was a
Christian, and didn`t want to believe it either! You can`t believe in

2005-04-15 Thread Faith Saint Francis

They say: Not even reading (books, articles) Arrchchch indeed.
But now that I am committed to the interest of those who wrote to me about
Reflexology,
I shall be answering all who wrote, either to the SilverList here or to my
private addy, so to be able to share this enigmatic cure, that Reflexology
increasingly is to me and all those whm I have treated.

I am working on the charts, shall have them scanned and ready for your use.
Love to serve,
Love you all,
Faith

Best of luck to you. When you come
back give us a full report on how you are doing. Do you have to limit
reading books too?
That would be the worst for me. Hard to stay off the computer, but no
booksarrghhh! What about TV? Gotta limit that too?

Hello, my Friends,

For the optimal cure of my eyes (after THE operation)

I was advised to limit myself drastically where it concerns work at the
computer: For a few weeks, no more screen-peeping, for the benefit of
my poor eyes.

So I greet you all, and in some five weeks Ill be back.

Take care,

Love you all,

Re: CSMoney, sweet as honey

2005-04-15 Thread Jonathan B. Britten
I read today that a former US senator, Billy Tauzin, (R-La.), recently
retired from Congress. In addition to his 85 thousand dollar annual
retirement package, he now gets close to two million dollars per year
as head of a pharmaceutical association. In Congress he was -- big
surprise -- on the committee that regulates pharmaceuticals.

The corruption of American politics is literally deadly, as many list
members know well.

Send Billy a letter to congratulate him on pulling himself up by his
bootstraps, from the poverty of Congress to the real money of private
enterprise.

Re: CSRE: cataracts

2005-04-15 Thread mborgert
Have not heard from you but I am very interested.
Thank you

I've used essential oils to assist with a number of vision challenges
including double triple vision, black spots in front of the eyeballs, etc.
Cataracts appear to respond also. Contact me off line if you want to know
more. My ophthalmologist could not grind corrective lenses because as Post
Polio individual, distortion in my eye muscles left the pitch - at 4:00 and
8:00 o'clock respectively. I was working at 18pt, with double and triple
vision. Also had those pesky, nasty black spots in front of my eyeballs.
Now I work at 10-11 pt in single vision with no correction no black spots.
I limit my dairy to cream in coffee and partake in cheeses. CC
