Linseed oil from the hardware store is NOT the same thing as flax oil from the Health Food Store.

Linseed oil is as I recall, POISON if eaten/ingested, while flax seed oil can be healthfull if propery produced and stored.

The both come from flax, but the difference is how they are manufactured.  I believe linseed oil is boiled, and changed chemically in that way.

My dear dog has a "ripe" cataract and I'm desperately trying to find a way to regain her sight. Pl
My dog was also one eyed, cataract covered her pupil. I bought regular linseed oil a gallon at Home Base (a hardware store) in their paint section and filled a 1 ounce bottle with an eye dropper. Every day she got one drop in her eye for at least two months. Her eyelids became crusty and I just stopped treating her. I was astonished to see the cataract shrank to a pin point and after several more weeks totally was gone. After seeing this I also used linseed oil (Flaxseed oil) in my eyes. DR said I had a bunch of small cataracts growing in both eyes. I had a yearly check up about 5 weeks later and DR said NO CATARACTS. Since then about 5 years ago the cataracts are coming back in my eyes, I now make my own CS so I use CS + 10% DMSO in my eye wash cup, cataracts are still there but not growing.

When I treated my dog I did not even refrigerate the linseed oil. I found that it goes rancid later so when I treated myself I kept the bottle refrigerated. I guess that our garage was cold enough when I treated my dog to act like a refrigerator.

*** My Email Info: Checked many times daily and very unlikely to change!

It is Okay to use this email address in the TO, CC or BCC section of an
email that you create or reply to, and send to people you know, or think
are probably reliable. If possible, I would prefer that you place my
address on the BCC section (viruses or spammers won't be able to see or
copy my email address).

*** Spam/Junk Email Avoidance Requests

Please don't enter this email address into any web site!
That means, NO greeting cards generated by websites,
and no emailed news articles forwarded by news websites,
and no purchase recommendations generated by websites (like Amazon.com).

Also, if you forward one of my messages to a large and unknown email
list (or publish it on a website), please edit out my email address.
It might appear in the header and don't forget this signature section
too, at the bottom of the message. Remove my email address!
Please don't forward my messages as attachments to strangers, because
you can't edit out my email addresses that are within.

NOTE: My old email addresses (yahoo.com and gmx.net) will work for a
while, but please convert (any address with @emailmeinfo.com is OK).

*** Spam/Junk-Mail Filtering is Hurting the Reliability of Email:

If you send me a message and I don't respond,
don't assume I got the message! Resend it, or call me.

Spam/Junk email has become such a large problem that
simple honest email messages are being caught-up as spam and
filtered out. If you are lucky, the recipient's spam filter will
tell you that the message you sent was detected as spam and
they deleted it (as unauthorized).

At first I didn't use spam filters, but now I have to.
I check my spam folder before deleting the filtered out
messages, but I might miss a message from you. I don't
think my services would just delete a message, but I know
that others do (like cable ISP providers)!
