Re: CSLumps and bumps
Didn't say it caused them...or that niacin was founded in fact. Story: I had a large hard lump on my bicep for weeks. I went mushroom hunting in Alabama and ate a large one of those Cubensis magical mushrooms. Trippy mushrooms. I felt a hot flush that was identical to a niacin flush, centered my attention on that lump focusing the heat there. It got very red and felt quite hot. The next day it was GONE. Those mushrooms 'could be' very high in niacin content. Re: CSThe Health Freedom Protection Act - to stop FDA/FTC censorship
The FDA was formed from public outcry when food contained large amounts of rat turds, hair, floor sweepings in general, bacteria...and drugs were completely unregulated as to contents and claims. There were many opium addicts who didn't even know they were taking opium. The FDA has improved general conditions considerably. BUT, It does need to be restructured. Rather than protecting just against known threats, it has come to protect us, by demand, from unknowns as well. A good part of this is due to the publics dependency on outside sources for discovering what to do, coupled with a dependency on lawsuits to fix things when 'what not to do' isn't known, but someone else must be held responsible. Enter the insurance companies who lobby for protection because they have to pay off 'somebody' regardless of who made an error. WE have become so blame oriented that we have demanded protection from 'ourselves' and given the responibility to others who MUST restrict everything not known, in self defense. It has become a punishable crime to not know something and the 'not known' is VASTLY bigger than the 'known'. Finding things out can be very expensive and dangerous, therefore, only those who see a possible profit will take the risk...and it IS risky! People who take risks tend to sue, or use some other benefits paid for by insurance when they don't work out. The FDA is oriented towards regulation, not discovery. It neither has the means or the funds to do discovery. Protection and discovery are two completely different animals. What we have here is the old Help me Help me...no, not like that! game. Make sure my food and drugs are safe, but don't tell me what to eat and take!! ..and 'you' pay for my errors in judgement? 'YOU' pay for my ignorance and gullibilty? I threw caution to the wind, so now 'blow' me? Well, it's not a wonder that no one can say anything about anything that makes any difference without mega bucks backing it up. Face the facts. Any time you charge someone else to do your thinking for you, or else, they will do exactly that and you will wind up in the very secure little cage that you paid them to build. You can still walk in the woods because you can't sue a tree, or sue a land owner for what trees do in a forest...but a loggers insurance rates are high, IF he has any. One day he may find himself in a suit of armor if he does have insurance, behaves stupidly and makes lost of claims. If he stays smart and knows he must be ever aware and careful or die broke and broken, he doesn't need the insurance. If he can start sueing land owners for what trees do, he'll not be allowed into the woods in short order. Security and limitation IS the same animal. The only way to do away with the FDA 'prove a negative' bent is to do away with lawsuits and insurance...and look for our rat turds ourselves and be willing to eat them if we don't. The bright side is free speech. So long as you don't sell something restricted, you can say anything you want to. Buyer Beware has been wrapped in the 'protect me' blanket, by popular demand which throws the FTC into bed with the FDA. The FDA isn't crashing Mikes doors down for hosting this list. I don't sell dope. I can go out and scream about the wonders of heroin all I want. I can stand on a soap box and yell out how much God wants somebody to kill everyone but people like me. Though, other people will 'want' to have me arrested for that, there is no crime in screaming...yet. There are still some blame limits on how something is heard. That's next to go when people do what they're told and put a liability protection blanket over the tellers. We are on the way. If people were better at thinking and not as good at believing anything they're told while holding someone else responsible for that belief? Then maybe we could get rid of the FDA and count on the FTC to enforce full disclosure rules. ...one being 'We don't know what this does, but it's in there'. ..and so long as rat turds are listed on the label, they could be sold as food, hair tonic or a cold cure...as YOU decide..and take the consequences of being wrong. Had the FTC been formed first, we possibly never would have gone on to feel a need for the FDA. But we wanted protection rather than information at the time. Many times my insurance would pay more than my dentist charged! You can even negotiate prices with the dentist. My wife has an upper plate and went in for a cleaning which normally cost $20. She told the dentist he was only doing half the work and he reduced his charge to $10. I called my insurance the first time I went to Mexico and told them what the dentist charged. I have been to a Mexico DDS twice this year (reason ) cost is very cheep, and work is great. Los Algodones Mexico is where the office is at that I My wife went to. We are very happy. He only charged me $180 for me and my wife, We both had Exams, x-rays, cleaning, and one filling in My wife's mouth, My second visit was for a small filling as I took a friend there who needed a lot of work. They did the filling and I had two amalgam fillings on that side that was numb, and I asked her how much to remove the mercury fillings and replace with porcelain, since it was numb...Nothing, Natha, Zip..Only $80.00 For all that work, I still have one more mercury filling to get out. CSSilverlon, etc.
Looking at the Silverlon website prompted my memory about an experience I had a few years ago. I was mowing the lawn on a summer afternoon, wearing short pants. I ran over an unknown hornets nest in the ground. A second later, my legs were on fire. I looked down and saw my entire calf area on both legs covered with hornets. There couldn't have been less than 20 or 30 hornets on my legs. I scraped the hornets off my legs with a stick and rushed into the house and soaked two hand towels in CS and wrapped them around both calves. In about 15 minutes, the pain had lessened significantly. I rewrapped both calves two more times, about an hour apart. An hour after the incident, the pain was almost entirely gone. The next day, there was not even a MARK on my legs! No bumps, no swelling, no sign that I had even been stung. Is there any difference between the quality of salt lamps from the different countries? I have noticed Pakistan and Iran have salt lamps for sale and the Iranian ones are blue to purple. From our experience, essential lavender oil works for insect stings and burns and bites of all kinds. Used neat on a burn or bite the pain relief is nearly instantaneous. My husband is allergic to gnat bites. He has knots, and scars from some he got 20 years ago. Now that he puts neat lavender essential oil on them, he gets no allergic reaction, and no scarring. Of course if he wouldn't forget to use the diluted lavender oil as repellant, he wouldn't get bitten in the first place, this has been 'tested' here many times, lol. Not saying EIS doesn't work, but for pain relief it is far, far slower. sol Terry Chamberlin wrote: Looking at the Silverlon website prompted my memory about an experience I had a few years ago. Re: CSRe: Regarding salt lamps and Lea Ann
Hi Harper, I don't know if I'm going to a Mexican dentist yet but I REALLY want to. Rest assured that if I decide to go I'll let everyone know what my experience was like! About the Flair, I just looked up my cost... it is $229.00. I really don't care if I profit from the sale of one of these as it is not my focus right now, but I pay my annual $35.00 dues every year because I keep getting referrals from past customers. So if you wanted to make a contribution towards the dues I paid this year that would be great! I have to say that I love my Flair. BUT, I am very ambiguous about the safety of the ozone in the air. It is this issue that keeps me from really trying to sell these units more aggressively. What I love about the Flair is the sanitize feature where the ozone blasts at full strength for an hour then turns off. I will sanitize when I know I am not going to be around to breath the ozone but otherwise I leave it off. (I put my pillows in plastic bags and ozone them weekly) I also tent my bed with plastic and ozone the mattress, etc. I can't tell you how many people I've sold units to that I've given them DETAILED instructions about keeping the ozone level off (except to sanitize) or down very low, but they blast it on high anyway. This is why I feel so ambiguous about selling them. Anyway... Your story about your day was TOO funny. Oh, and I wanted to let you know that I am really glad you asked your question because I had never heard of Salt Lamps and now am very interested in them! Re: CSpotassium vs. sodium salt vs. no salt
Why use no salt? that is medical propaganda. You jsut need to use good salt thats all. V Interesting Facts About Salt Salt has many other functions than just regulating the water content of the body. Here are some of the more vital functions of salt in the body: 1. Salt is most effective in stabilizing irregular heartbeats and, contrary to the misconception that it causes high blood pressure, it is actually essential for the regulation of blood pressure - in conjunction with water. Naturally the proportions are critical. 2. Salt is vital to the extraction of excess acidity from the cells in the body, particularly the brain cells. 3. Salt is vital for balancing the sugar levels in the blood; a needed element in diabetics. 4. Salt is vital for the generation of hydroelectric energy in cells in the body. It is used for local power generation at the sites of energy need by the cells. 5. Salt is vital to the nerve cells' communication and information processing all the time that the brain cells work, from the moment of conception to death. 6. Salt is vital for absorption of food particles through the intestinal tract. 7. Salt is vital for the clearance of the lungs of mucus plugs and sticky phlegm, particularly in asthma and cystic fibrosis. 8. Salt is vital for clearing up catarrh and congestion of the sinuses. 9. Salt is a strong natural antihistamine. 10. Salt is essential for the prevention of muscle cramps. 11. Salt is vital to prevent excess saliva production to the point that it flows out of the mouth during sleep. Needing to constantly mop up excess saliva indicates salt shortage. 12. Salt is absolutely vital to making the structure of bones firm. Osteoporosis, in a major way, is a result of salt and water shortage in the body. 13. Salt is vital for sleep regulation. It is a natural hypnotic. 14. Salt is a vitally needed element in the treatment of diabetics. 15. Salt on the tongue will stop persistent dry coughs. 16. Salt is vital for the prevention of gout and gouty arthritis. 17. Salt is vital for maintaining sexuality and libido. 18. Salt is vital for preventing varicose veins and spider veins on the legs and thighs. 19. Salt is vital to the communication and information processing nerve cells the entire time that the brain cells work - from the moment of conception to death. 20. Salt is vital for reducing a double chin. When the body is short of salt, it means the body really is short of water. The salivary glands sense the salt shortage and are obliged to produce more saliva to lubricate the act of chewing and swallowing and also to supply the stomach with water that it needs for breaking down foods. Circulation to the salivary glands increases and the blood vessels become leaky in order to supply the glands with water to manufacture saliva. CSRe: Re: CSpotassium vs. sodium salt vs. no salt
Hello V, I think it might be because of the combination of salt with silver forming silver chloride? I don't understand the chemistry involved, but I have a personal experience of what can happen when you mix salt and colloidal silver. I had a sinus infection and I used to use saline to flush my sinuses by placing a large swig of salt water in my mouth then bending over the sink and allowing the water to go into my sinuses and I'd blow it out my nose into the sink. This would help clear the sinuses a little bit but during an infection it did not kill the infection. Then I learned a little bit about colloidal silver and bought a bottle at the health food store (before I got my silver gen SG6). I figured that I'd first flush with saline to loosen and remove as much gunk as possible the follow up with CS. I did this twice about a half an hour apart. About another half an hour later I honestly thought I was going to die from the pain in my sinuses. (o.k. I exaggerate a bit) I have a very high tolerance for pain, but it seemed like there was fire in between my eyes and I got a pounding headache. I quickly got on the curezone forum and asked for ideas and someone theorized that I had created too much silver chloride by following a saline flush with CS. I flushed with just saline a few times to help clear things up and about two hours later the pain was gone and that episode was over. The next morning the sinus infection was still going strong so I decided to use ONLY CS (I figured it had been long enough since my last saline flush that I wasn't going to create another silver chloride fire between the eyes episode). My thinking was that saline had never killed a sinus infection but possibly straight CS might. When I flush with just CS it burns much more than with saline water because sinuses are used to a saline condition and plain water or CS water is NOT saline so it burns some. Plain water and CS feel just the same to me. Anyway, I could easily put up with this kind of burning so I kept at the CS Only routine (running it into my mouth and out through my sinuses) about once an hour for the rest of the day. By the next morning I had beaten a sinus infection without antibiotics for the first time in my life. I was so impressed that I bought an SG6 that day! Moral of the story - don't mix CS and saline then flush your sinuses with it! So if you wanted to make a contribution towards the dues I paid this year that would be great! I have to say that I love my Flair. BUT, I am very ambiguous about the safety of the ozone in the air. It is this issue that keeps me from really trying to sell these units more aggressively. I will sanitize when I know I am not going to be around to breath the ozone but otherwise I leave it off. Marshall, Don't have it here, so no chance to try it on poison ivy. Here is what I've used it for: I actually had some on hand for another purpose, when one day I got splahed badly on the hand and forearm with hot oil from a frying pan. I put the essential lavender oil on it and the pain was gone in seconds. Before bed I applied it again, and in the morning not one mark, redness, or blister. Months later I picked up the lid off a roasting pan just out of a 400 degree oven, without a hot pad. Luckily it was only thumb and forefinger, with thumb burned the worst. Lavender oil stopped the pain in about 30 minutes. I applied it a few times that evening. Next day no redness, no blister, just a 'brand' where I touched the handle. The burn on the thumb pad was tender if touched for a few days, but that was it. It seemed to be a rather deep burn, as the brand took months to fade away completely. I also used lavender oil when a pet bit clear though my thumbnail at the base of the nail. Now, that was bad, and took about 45 min for the pain to stop completely. Following that I alternated applying lavender oil and soaking in EIS. Pain did not come back, and it never got any infection or redness, though my thumb did get surface brown stains from the combination of lav oil and EIS. Also have used it for other minor pinches and bites. The kind of bite or pinch that doesn't break skin but does hurt and usually leaves a blood blister, if I use lavender oil on it, not only does the pain go away but no blood blister or bruise develops. Probably due to the coumadin in lavender oil. sol Marshall Dudley wrote: From our experience, essential lavender oil works for insect stings and burns and bites of all kinds. Adding DMSO to the CS for the sinus flushes might help. I add DMSO to my EIS for eye drops and nose drops, because as you say, EIS feels just like plain DW, and I find it very uncomfortable. I have also added plain salt or baking soda to EIS and that makes it more comfortable. What I'd guess happened to you is that the saline flush stripped out a lot of the mucous lining of the sinuses, then the CS was really contacting bare tissues, and unbuffered non-saline on bare sinus tissues (or in eyes) hurts. Doesn't bother some people but causes me pain and discomfort. My reason for adding DMSO instead of salts or baking soda is the DMSO adds transport of the EIS into tissues, and makes it more effective. Hi Harper, I think that if you flushed with CS and DMSO as sol suggests and did it on a regular schedule that you would heal that cyst. I learned about the sinus flush from a yoga book when I was a teenager. It can be a bit complicated to do, but it is a more thorough and advanced practice than the neti pot method that is so often promoted. (I think it is because with the advanced sinus flush you don't have to buy a special pot so no one is promoting this method grin). Here is a good description of the different kinds of yoga nasal flushes http://www.yoga-age.com/asanas/neti.html the one I do is stage 3. I would be happy to explain in greater detail what I do. I learned it as a teenager by myself with only the book to consult so it's really not THAT difficult. I really think you could heal that cyst. CSDMSO/EIS mixes was Re: CSpotassium vs. sodium salt vs. no salt
Sorry, I should have. I am somewhat sensitive to DMSO so I keep it weak. I have read here (I believe Richard Harris said it) that DMSO is effective at even 2 % added to EIS. For topical herpes cold sore treatment my husband uses a mix of about half and half DMSO/EIS. (the DMSO we use is 99.9% pure veterinary grade, looks like the brand sold at www.jeffersequine.com, but I can get it locally). For my eye and nose drops, I use a one ounce dropper bottle, and put in one whole dropper of DMSO, and fill with EIS. I have been thinking of adding two droppersful DMSO but haven't tried that yet. For nebulizing I use 1 oz EIS (mine is around 12-15 ppm)- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon pure MSM crystals (Opti-msm)- and 5 drops of DMSO. This is for my chronic URI pet rabbit, and it is used for ear drops as well (but NOT for eyes--the MSM doesn't hurt eyes, but it stings like the devil--when I used it in my rabbit's eye without testing it on me first is when he bit through my thumbnail, I had it coming!). Since he gets nebulized on a regular basis, I always have it made up, so I just use the same stuff for us humans. But if it was only for humans, one could add more DMSO, according to tolerance. I'm trying to use a mouthwash (I swish and hold as long as I can stand it) of 10% DMSO and 90% EIS for my root-canal teeth, but am finding it *very* difficult to use even once a day, as it is really foul. Doesn't bother my husband though: he used it for weeks twice or more a day, for a possible abscess. I don't really measure anything anymore except the recipe for my bunny. For us humans, for soaks, mouthwashes, or whatever, I just ballpark the porportions of DMSO to EIS. When my cat sprained a toe I wetted it with the 10% DMSO to EIS. He didn't like it being dipped, so I just soaked a cotton ball in the mix and dabbed it on until the toe was wet to the skin. I only mention this because the vet wanted to put him on preventive antibiotics for it, because she said this kind of injury in cats often gets abscessed/infected. He healed up fine without them, with just the EIS/DMSO treatment. Did I forget anything? sol Wayne Fugitt wrote: Evening Sol, Adding DMSO to the CS for the sinus flushes might help. -Original Message- From: Marshalee Hallett [mailto:utahpug...@izikoo.com] Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 5:57 PM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: CSshe died Dear List friends, Well, I just learned that my best friend Debra died of liver cancer on Monday. She was only 54. She did use CS for some things, but she was an RN and of course, fell for the allopathic doctors` lines. She tried chemotherapy, which so wiped out her intestines that she couldn`t eat or drink anything for days. Only the IV gave her anything at all. Her pain was intense. I`m glad she is no longer suffering. I so wish she had believed me. I miss her. She was a true friend to me. Marshalee Very sorry to hear that Marshalee; I've lost a few friends to cancer, And wished I had known about all this prior to losing them. Had they've known would they have believed, we'll never know? They were in their early thirties. I would think logic would dictate to take the homeopathic route considering it is much less crude. Then if all else fails, which I doubt, take the allophathic way. I personally don't support allopathic medicine even though it has its place, because I believe in prevention then cure. I would also prefer people from suffering then to continue being treated as guinea pigs. I miss my friends too. Most sincerely, Ernie -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Re: CSRe: Mexican Dentists
Mexican dentists are specialist, only do one thing. I believe you need what they call a surgeon. I only have experience with two surgeons, Garcia and another starts with a R. I liked both dentists. Write to the dentist that tel listed and get him to recommend a surgeon or specialist to do the job. They do not hesitate to send you to another dentist like for surgery or root canals. Brickey
Re: CSSilverlon, etc.
Terry, How could EIS do that? Presumably it had to neutralize the poison? Or can you think of any other plausible mechanism? I have used an electronic acupuncture device many times to break up the poison of a mosquito bite, thereby preventing swelling and itching. Could it be that the electrical properties of home-brew EIS could account for your anecdotal success story? Others have reported similar success with spider bites, but I have yet to see any hypothesis or even speculation about the possible mechanism. Thanks for this report. If I had not been convinced of the value of CS before, I sure was now. __ Find your next car at http://autos.yahoo.ca -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Re: CScomposite fillings
I have had all my fillings replaced, and have one area that has remained sensitive one year later. However, I believe it is bacterial, as I feel a reaction in that area of my jaw when I run staph/strep/dental foci frequencies. Re: CSRe: Mexican Dentists
Yes, that is right. If they do not do what you want , they are quick to recommend a DDS Surgeon who does, There are plenty to choose from in Mexico. My friend got 30 crowns over two years in Mexico for a little over $2000.00 total. He looks great and the teeth all look so natural too. He had to have some surgery as well. His DDS in South Dakota wanted over $10,000 to start with, and could not tell him how much it would end up costing, he almost had all teeth pulled and get drenchers, he is so glad now he went to Mexico. RE: CScomposite fillings
Yes, actually...I've had anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months of cold sensitivity as each filling was changed out. I assumed it was normal since I had the same thing back when I got the amalgams in the first place. My dentist's explanation was that live nerves were exposed when the amalgam was removed the pit was cleaned, so sensitivity is normal depending on the nerve exposure/contact. All has since subsided for me though...my composites look act like nothing ever took place. Love them. Hi Deborah, Update on the salt I was looknig through the archives on another list nad remebered tthere was a thnig about the himalyan salt so here it is in all its glory.
