I did it understand it exactly the way you did.

At 10:41 AM 9/12/2008, you wrote:

I understood this to mean, The Resistance Changes

First, I would think it to be the other way around. The higher the
voltage the higher the resistance
depending on quantities.

Likewise, with high currents, the electrons might be congested in the wire.

Of course resistors heat up and wire heats up, under some conditions.
Conductor derateing and voltage drop enters in. and dangers can exist.
But that is another book.

If these are sized so that the capacity is only 5, 10, maybe 50 %,
that is another situation,
When the capacity is reached, or nearly so, 80, 90, 0r 100 %, of
course things change

If the resistor is the wrong physical size, it will certainly change
just before self destruction,
and change drastically upon self destruction.

This would all be easy to prove or disprove, by solving any circuit,

6 volts applied, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60, 100, or whatever.

And of course using instrumentation and calculation.

I have an interesting resistor array I built for a specific purpose

Using several large resistors, I mounted them to a 2 ft
square aluminum plate, 1/4 inch thick.

I knew it would get hot. The resistors would glow cherry red for a
timed test without destruction.

100 amps 1200 watts.

The array will fry an egg, heat a bowl of soup, and boil a pot of
coffee, not that this was the purpose.

I have seen resistor arrays that covered a complete wall.

I am not sure what Mike was trying to do, maybe give us a headache or
see what kind of mess we would make, working on the puzzle he created.

Either way, He did a good job. grin

Once Confused, ... always confused, it seems. Likely I have
been working on the wrong thing.

Wayne

Re: CSLED's, What Voltage ? How Dangerous ?

Hi Wayne,

When I built test equipment I would always put a LED and resistor in
parallel with the fuses. If you saw a lit LED you immediately knew which fuse
was
blown. It works with AC or DC at just about any voltage as long as you size
the
resistors accordingly. A pretty neat trick to save troubleshooting time.

Hi Neville,

It doesn't matter which way the current flows. If you look at vacuum tubes
you may want to go from minus to plus (cathode emission). If you look at solid
state devices you might want to go with plus to minus (the direction the
arrows on diodes and transistors point). What is important is that you pick
one
direction and stick with it. Tell everyone who disagrees with you that they
are fools and they are wrong.

Hi Neville,

Most LEDs need a resistor in series with them to limit the current and keep
them from blowing up. Most common LEDs use about 10 to 20 milliamps. Unless
you have more than one resistor in your setup you are cooking at what I would
consider a pretty high current limit. People seem to like clear or yellow CS.
When it turns gold or pink it means you are running it too long or you have
un-pure water. You have a DVM and ohms law so you should know what to do.
Personally I like to slow brew at about 1 ma or less.

Hope this helps,

fairly good stuff. After spending many hours reading all the 'rumours', (I

Hi Mike et al,

I like hearing about off topic health related (and even operating system)
issues as long as the thread doesn't go on forever. I'm not sure how often the
digest is sent out but maybe a time limit could be set on how long a thread
can go on without changing the name in the subject line? It seems like some
people are lazy and just hit the reply button even though the topic has long
since changed.

I get tired of hearing about how the doctors, pharmaceutical companies,
medical profession, etc. are all bad guys that are in a conspiracy and they're
out to get us. I also get tired of hearing about supplements and gizmos that
are claimed to cure everything but there is no scientific proof, just
testimony. But then again, I don't buy the weekly magazines at the checkout
lines in
the grocery store either.

I would like to think of the silver list as a resource for information
rather than vehicle for recruitment.

With the election coming up, I hope we don't get too many posts from people
in the two major political parties doing a lot of Libertarian bashing. God
knows it's tempting...

Best wishes,
Andy

Hi Steve, et al

Thanks for your response. Your explanation seems to imply that solutions of
sodium chloride and silver chloride have the same conductivity simply because
they both consist of the same number of positive and negative ions. Don't
conduction bands, valance bands and energy gaps have something to do with the
conductivity of solutions as well as solids?

To date no major reputable commerical manufacturer produces
a meter to specifically test for PPM levels for Colloidal Silver
Suppensions. When I asked (Hannah), Not enough sales to justify
  manufacture, to small a market.

A TDS meter is designed to measure Total Dissolved Solids in
soltion for applications such as hydroponic gardening, testing tap
water and Reverse Osmosis water, industrial uses for contaminants.

The typical TDS meter measures from 0 ppm to 999 PPM and was not
designed to measure small measurements with an accuracy of less
than 50% under 100 of PPM

TDS meters measure transconductance (opposite of resistance) in
micro Siemens and then use circuitry to convert this measurement
into a PPM number (called a Conversion Factor).

The Conversion Factor circuitry translates roughly 1 micro
Siemen into 1ppm at Part Per Million readings of 100 PPM or higher
at 90% accuracy. At PPM levels lower than 100 PPM the Conversion
Factor translates 1 micro Siemen as 0.5 PPM, 50% of what is measured.

TDS meters were designed to measure dissolved solids conductivity
and are calibrated with Sodium Chloride (the yellow solution
sold with these meters) as a rough Guesstimate. Salt is used as
an average approximation of the conductivity of the compounds and
elements (and polutants) found in water. (Potassium Chloride is
the world standard for calibration, but then TDS meters do not
 require scientific accuracy.)

Soldium Chloride or table salt has twice the conductivity
of Silver. Or Silver has 1/2 the conductivity of table Salt. So
any measurement of Colloidal Silver will be half of that for

TDS meters round off their measurements downwards after
conversion. 0 to 0.9 PPM will read as 000 PPM. Likewise, 1 to
1.9 PPM reads as 1 PPM, etc.

Let's use some numbers. Let's say I have finished a batch of CS
and send half of it to a lab that runs an Atomic Aborption
Spectragraphy. The batch was made with Lab Tech distilled water
(0 PPM). The test measurement is 10 ppm

I reach for my trusty TDS meter. The meter measures 90 % of the
transconductace (calibrated to Sodium Chloride which has twice
transconductance of CS) so 4.5 only is measured and the
conversion factor has a 50% error (under 100ppm readings) so 2.25,
   rounded down becomes 2 PPM.

 I have a batch of 30 PPM CS. 15 X 90%= 13.5 microS measured
multiplied by 50% Conversion=6.75 rounded down to 6 ppm

  If I have a reading of 3 PPM X 4= 12 PPM (3 times 2 (for
Conversion Factor) times 2 (Salt factor) equals 12 PPM)

This doesn't account for Commerical Distilled water which measures
from 0 to 2 ppm (0 to 4 ppm if taking into account the Conversion
Factor from circuitry). The DW will measure as 0 ppm at levels as
 high as 1.9 ppm (actual).

That is why I use the number 4 as a multiplier when using a TDS
  meter to measure CS batches.

How accurate do I think these measures are with TDS meters?

Not very accurate, but better than nothing, or shelling out $400
USD everytime I make CS to get an accurate reading.

I wasn't going to say anything but I was thinking that it's a 12 volt AC

of LEDs. The DC model includes a diode. If your lucky you might get an op-amp
to sense the current and shut it off. At that price it should wake you up in

volts and one quart batches it should take awhile to get things going.

It is interesting that you commented that you used to get a heavy

to the manufacturer you should never have had black on a rod because of
their bi-directional current pattern. So, we either have the wrong
supplier or your unit was defective when you received it. Some
possibilities:

1) Your unit has started functioning correctly and that is why you no
longer have blacking of a rod.
2) The original defect in the unit has progressed to complete failure.
3) You could have a break in one of the external wires.

I would first check that there is no open in either of the external
wires from the unit to the rods.

It's my understanding that MMS or Miracle Mineral Supplement is
chlorine dioxide. It turns into a toxic gas at 52 degrees Fahrenheit
so I'm not sure how people take it. Maybe someone else can explain it?

MMS is not chlorine dioxide, it is a 28% by weight solution of sodium
chlorite. When mixed with acid, either in a glass by adding lemon
juice, or vinegar, or when it hits the stomach acid, it converts to
chlorine dioxide. Chlorine dioxide is readily soluble into water, so it
simply remains in the water, or stomach fluid, or blood stream. It never
becomes a gas. When making it, and before dilution, some gas may be
given off if you wait more than the recommended 3 minutes after adding
the acid before diluting it. It is advised to never ever breath any gas
which may come off at this point.

The part that says Two adults who ingested 250 ml of a 40 mg/l solution
of chlorine dioxide experienced headache, nausea, abdominal discomfort,
and lightheadedness within 5! minutes of ingestion. The symptoms
disappeared within another 5 minutes is of interest however. This
works out to be equivalent to 18.2 drops of mms, which is if I remember
right the highest recommended dosage, yet appears to have only affected
the people for 5 minutes. Typically when you take MMS in the prescribed
manner, this is what one experiences, until either the pathogens are all
killed, or the body acclimates to it.

Re: CSMiracle Mineral Supplement NOT Chlorine Dioxide

2008-08-11 Thread AScottSilver
Thanks again Marshall,

Everything I've read seems to skip the chlorous acid part and implies that
sodium chlorite is directly converted into chlorine dioxide.

Andy

In a message dated 8/11/2008 10:26:23 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time,
mdud...@king-cart.com writes:

Yes, that is correct. Sodium chlorite is converted to chlorous acid
immediately. Then the chlorous acid converts to chlorine dioxide
slowly. An interesting aspect to the chlorous acid reduction is that
the speed of reduction is proportional to the concentration. That is a
concentrated solution may have a half life of 15 or so minutes, but a
strong solution may last up to 12 hours. This is taken advantage of with
MMS where the sodium chlorite is added to acid, and left for 3 minutes.
During those 3 minutes, sufficient chlorous acid converts to chlorine
dioxide to reach saturation level of the water. Then after diluting,
the conversion process drops to about 1 to 2 % of the previous rate. So
when you take it you get a big bang initially, then the rest converts
over the next 12 or so hours so that the level of chlorine dioxide
remains at a low, but relatively stable level. Once can also take the
MMS without adding to the acid, but if you do, you miss the initial ramp
up, and it make take several hours for it to reach the peak level in the
blood.

Marshall

Re: CSMiracle Mineral Supplement NOT Chlorine Dioxide

Hi Wayne,

If MMS isn't chlorine dioxide, then what is MMS?

Morning Andy,

You are confusing MMS with Chlorine Dioxide.

They are not the same thing, never have been. First, you are not likely to

The FDA has approved Chlorine Dioxide for purifying water, for washing meat,
Bleaching Flour, and on and on. This dates back to 1944.

It has been used for curing disease in cattle ( MMS or Similar ) for many
years, dating back
into the 40's and 50's.

It is so dangerous, it cannot be shipped. It has no shipping
classification.

Chlorine Dioxide has to be made, At the location where it is used.

As Mike pointed out, you can kill yourself with Water, Sand, or Snow, if you
try hard enough.

Likely we have all ingested thousands of toxic substances during our life.

Years back someone wrote a book or article about the 5000 poisons on the
grocery store shelf.

That's hardly a swimming pool. Anyhow, sorry about saying scary sounding

No need to be sorry, ... being concerned is a better term, and certainly
in order.

If you read the MDI archives, you would likely find most of the information
you want.

But, .. if you can't find things with Google, likely you can't
search the Archives.

If you used the right mailer ( doubtful that you do ) I could send you the
whole smear,]
only 12,000 messages.

You are talking about a few ppm of Chlorine dioxide. Not enough to do any
damage, just enough to
do a few good things.

As little as 4 drops can improve some abnormal body functions.
Of course 400 drops will likely send you to the hospital, or maybe the
morgue.

And I do not claim to know all the facts, just a few.

Finally, research the genius Chemist from NASA that helped Jim Humble put the
Icing on the Cake. Smart People know when to seek help from other people.

Re: CSMMS - Miracle Mineral Supplement

2008-08-09 Thread AScottSilver
Thanks for the info Mike. I was ignorant of MMS or chlorine dioxide. That's
why I've been researching it and posting what I found. It's easy to find
testimony in favor of something but a little more difficult to find scientific
facts. When I saw a post that said it cures 100 percent of AIDS cases I tended
to be skeptical (and curious) especially when I read that breathing as little
as 19 ppm has killed people (OSHA MSDS). That's hardly a swimming pool.
Anyhow, sorry about saying scary sounding things. I'll try to be more careful

in the future.

Best regards,

You mix a few drops of a sodium chlorite solution with a weak organic
acid like vinegar, lemon or lime juice, or citric acid, which produces
a very small quantity of chlorine dioxide, which is mostly dissolved in
the liquid, though you can smell it, as well. Then you add this to some
apple juice or something and chug it...

Yes, Andy, if you mixed a significant amount of sodium chlorite with a
bunch of acid, it'd create enough chlorine dioxide to be seriously
harmful. That's the toxicity they're talking about.

You can also drown in a swimming pool, or die from eating the pool
chemicals.

MMS is powerful stuff and has definitely helped some folks, but you
MUST NOT remain ignorant if you are going to attempt to use it.

Nor should anyone decide NOT to learn about MMS just because somebody
else chooses to say scary sounding things about it.

Be well,

more our cells recognize CLO2 as oxygen, thus it gets absorbed into the cells
where virus resides then POOF! it's killed through oxidation. It also
oxidizes chemicals and metals in the body, and becuase it neutralizes them
there is little in the way of side effects as they are excreted. Some nausea
or
diarrhea could occur.. if so back off on the amount until you are able to
increase again. Always start with a very small amount.. say two drops... and
work your way up to 15 drops two or three times daily for serious diseases.
Some need to take it more frequently... say once every hour or two but this is
rare. Avoid Vit.C and other anti-oxidants while taking it though... in this
case we are oxidizing germs and don't want to interfere with that process.

CSStem cells (was something else)

2008-07-25 Thread AScottSilver
Hi Ode, Marshall, et al;

This discussion reminded me of how Robert O Becker (not to be confused with
Bob Beck) used electricity and silver to create primitive stem cells that
were used in the regeneration of a severed finger. I know you guys are
familiar
with the story but I will include a link to the article for others who might
not be.

Best regards,

## How is triggering or stimulating a natural function nutrition?
A nutrient would be a building block or something that feeds something
that has been built to contribute energy to it?
It's more likely that stems cell production is increased rather than any
cells reverting anyhow.

Something has to 'fill' the voids to heal an abrasion...don't think
existing cells do that after they've been rubbed away, nor would I think
existing cells would migrate, reverted or not.
Looking at it another way: Is there any silver in a stem cell where that
stem cell wouldn't be a stem cell were the silver not there??
Gets a bit ticklish there, like the difference between a baby born that's
raised by momma, influenced to behave like that momma and one that's an
orphan at birth looking for a momma to raise it and copy. Does something
revert or is it lack of family ties imprint, going forward.
It seems unlikely that grandpa puts on diapers and moves out of down town
to repopulate the burbs.

..no question it does something good, but a bandaid isn't a nutrient
either.
Maybe silver gets something out of the way, so stem cells can play better
hookup. [like a 50 in a pimps hand bribing the cop on the
corner.impeding a prevention of a whore moan? ]
ummm, floozie cells with no significant other and a silver membership in
a dating service?

Will micro-electrical current stimulation do the same thing? Heals up
broken bones pretty fast.
Maybe silver works like a traffic cop with a map and a whistle, but
that's not a car in the traffic or anyone in a car...he's in the traffic
but is not, the, traffic...never contacts a car.
Definitely a process enhancer, but probably not part of the process...
like a director isn't *in* a play with any part in the plot and that guy
waving sticks around doesn't make the music... the actor is still the same
actor with the same part and the notes played by the trumpet are still the
same notes on the same sheet of paper.

Architects don't build buildings. A pencil never laid any bricks or
peened any rivits.

Ode

You are only considering the pathogen killing ability of silver. What
about the ability to make it so that injured (or blood) cells can revert
back to stem cells and redifferentiate, and allow healing without
scarring? It certainly serves that purpose, especially when used topically
on abrasions, and burns.

Marshall

Re: CSAdult onset Stills

2008-07-21 Thread AScottSilver
Hi Ernie,

I'm not familiar with still's disease. You might want to try CS. After all,
you have nothing to lose. There are three ways to go if you want to give it a
try. You can buy ready made CS. You can buy a CS generator and make it
yourself. You can build you own CS generator and cut the cost way down. I
built
my own. It's basically two pieces of pure silver wire in a jar filled with
distilled water. You connect electricity to the wires and you get CS. If you
want you can use current limit, agitate the water, use high voltage, a timer,
filter it, etc. and make it as complicated as you want if you like complicated
things.

I'm sure there are several people on this list that would be glad to send
you information on the products they sell. If you need more info, just ask.

Best regards,
Andy

The other is oleander soup, home made. I took it a week or two, taking

Hopefully between the three I come up very little if any results from

Thanks Bob,

I'll look into MMS. I've built the Rife machine that uses a CB radio, audio

Have you tried MMS (Miracle Mineral Supplement)? This is a 28% sodium

might be the answer to your problem.

Virus are very difficult to inactivate sometimes frequencies
sometimes work (RIfe and others). The problem with silver is that the ion has
to
contact the virus directly in order to deactivate it. Since the live inside
of cells they are pretty much protected from silver ions. Not so with
chlorine dioxide... it is readily absorbed by your cells as they can't tell
the
difference between this and oxygen... then poof! Oxidation takes place and
the
virus is vaproized leaving the cell untouched.

Check it out.

CSWhere it started...

2008-07-17 Thread AScottSilver
Hi Mike et al,

The article is:
Our Mightiest Germ Fighter by Jim Powell
Science Digest, March 1978

Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern
medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different kinds of disease
organisms, but silver kills some 650. Resistant strains fail to develop.
Moreover, silver is virtually nontoxic.

That article, whether accurate or not, has become the basis of
thousands of web pages that re-state that claim with no more authority
than they've seen it somewhere else. Sadly, it's one of the signs of
a copycat, me-too, I don't really know what I'm talking about but it
sure sounds good website. Another clue is any mention of CS kills 650
diseases, which is another claim from the same article.

Such a process *may* play a role in CS' effectiveness, but if so it's
not really explained fully anywhere I've seen.

2008-07-06 Thread AScottSilver
Hello All,

I've been away from the list for a few years and just recently got back on
it. I've been making and taking the juice for about 10 years now and I've had
a question that keeps popping up in the back of my mind. At one time high
concentration and small particle size seemed to be a topic of discussion. I
was
wondering if CS can be concentrated by evaporating or slow distilling the H2O
off of it and if so will the particle size remain the same (like charges
repel) or will it clump together and form large particles? Has anyone done
research on that? Thanks in advance...

But seriously, there are at least two schools of thought on the subject.

Purists will say: Never mix CS with anything. It will form silver compounds
that may or may not turn you blue and cause you to run for a political
office.

People less pure might say: Hey, it all mixes together in your mouth or
stomach anyway.

Other people on this list will surly respond. Use the above guidelines to
tell how pure they really are. Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

Can CS be consumed in one's tea or coffee? Can it be consumed with a meal,
or is it best to wait until one hour after a meal? Should one drink it just

I bought the pump at an aquarium store. It is rate 35 to 70 gal/hr with a

Since I am not elevating the DW it should be running near maximum output.

Of course an MCU can't do all of that but it could use a serial port for

CSproxy brushing - Yeech...

From: Reid Harvey
Greetings Friends,
For several weeks I've been using one of the little conical proxy
brushes, getting into some shallow pockets between gums and back teeth.
The hygienst tells me that in these places the proxy brushing alone will
help stimulate some sort of healing process, but I'm also pushing in a
mix of CS, DMSO, E and aloe vera. One problem I have is that I'm not
sure the CS I'm using is doing the job, a couple of drops of Microdyn,
large particle size. The ointment may be something like a couple of
hundred ppm. But I do know that the 10 ppm CS is of the smaller
particle size that can better penetrate the tissue. So What to do?

I'm not using 10 ppm CS because my feeling is that I would have to use
more than a couple of drops, and when combined with the other
constituents I'd end up with something lacking the desired viscosity.
So I wouldn't be confident I was getting much of this to where it's
needed and the ppm would also be low. One answer that occurs to me is
the possibility that following use of the Microdyn ointment I could
gargle with a 10 ppm/ DMSO mouthwash. I am wondering if it is
reasonable to think that this mouthwash would rinse out the prior/
Microdyn ointment, thus insuring the smaller particle CS gets to the
pockets.

Comments anyone?

my
proposition:

Mike, design the ideal CS generator. Of course this wouldn't be a battery and
a resistor. Something like an MCU. You can get them with LCD drivers, IO
ports, AD converters and whatever. Put together the perfect CS generator for
let's
say under 200 bucks. Here is the catch. All of the parts have to be priced in
quantities of 5K or less. That shouldn't be too much of a problem the way the
economy is.

Also include your time and other labor. Say 50 bucks an hour for PCB layout
and MCU programming. 20 bucks an hour if you farm it out to India (^_^). Don't
forget the contract manufacturer that buys all of the parts, manufactures the
PCB and solders them together. Be as honest as you can and then figure in your
overhead. And for gods sake, don't use flat strips of silver!

CSRe: PWT its Limits

2003-08-11 Thread AScottSilver
Hi Trem,

Sounds like you have a good unit on the market. Whether you like it or not,
it is measuring current. Voltage and current are inversely proportional through
a load (the resistance of your CS solution). With a constant current source
it is measuring the voltage drop across the solution to trip the comparator.
Semiconductors, like comparators trip at a voltage offset. Usually there is a
resistor voltage divider to convert the current to voltage. A zener diode or
some other voltage reference sets up the trip point. Current goes up, voltage
goes down and vise versa. It's just a matter of perspective. Since a 14 pin DIP
package contains 4 comparators you could probably make one that compensates for
the DW variations without much modifications. Just a brain fart...

Andy (^_^)

From: Trem

Hi Andy,

Since you asked.we use a voltage comparator to
shut our units off.  We calibrate the SG6 so the production light does not
come on if the water is under about 2 uS which gives the user a general idea
of
water quality.  If the light doesn't come on then the length of time it
does take to come on will indicate water conductivity in a roundabout way.
Longer time means better water.

We do NOT measure current.  It is limited and
is a constant once the unit is up to speed.  That function is indicated by
the production light being fully lit.  From then on the voltage across the
electrodes is continually reducing in order to maintain the constant
current.  So, it makes little difference what the water volume is..the
unit runs until the voltage comparator senses the preset voltage on the front

dial is the same as the voltage across the electrode.  The unit then shuts
down.

At that point one can use a PWT meter and get a
rough idea of the amount of silver in the water by subtracting the initial
water
reading and adding a correction factor.  If one does not have a meter it
makes little difference since the unit checked the water at startup
and would have been less than 2 uS.  I'd say it's plenty good
enough.

If someone waits a while and turns the unit off and
back on again it will add more silver to the water.  We calibrate them to
work properly from startup to shutdown.

I hope this helps you.

Trem Williams

month ago he developed another skin condition that in the onset looked
similar to ringworm but not a perfect circle and much larger than a
ringworm lesion. His dermatologist of course wanted him to discontinue CS
but he hasn't. Now he has 4 of these lesions. The dermatologist has no idea
what it could be and now wants to biopsy it. I'm wondering if it could be a
parasite that the cs is working on eliminating, or since Hep C tests only
indicate that it is undetectable that this is a way the body is ridding
itself of the remnants of the Hep C virus.
Any ideas.

Thanks Ole Bob,

I'll take that into consideration for the next build. Regarding using a
larger anode, Is the particle size any different or is it just a matter of
running
it for less time? I need to weigh that against the benefit of being able to
swap electrodes for even wear.

Also, evidently people submit samples to you for testing. Can you give me
some idea of what PPM the good people of the world are making? You know, throw
out the highest and the lowest samples and then guesstimate the average range?

One other thing, what are your thoughts on cleaning the electrodes? I clean

Hi Andy,

I like a large anode because I can run at low current density (higher
meter reading) and make the CS in much less time.

The important thing is to note the initial starting current. Any change
there is reflected in much larger changes down the time line, and it
knocks the PWT readings into a cocked hat! That means that you reference
data for PPM has changed. Does that matter? Only if you are looking for
a given PPM. All electrically Isolated Silver works whether its 1, 5,
10, or 15 PPM.

Dear Classic Berger,

If I'm running with low current over a long period of time with a reasonable
amount of DW and silver, isn't it safe to assume that a 10% deviation won't
matter that much?

I brew about a half gallon at a time. I run it for 8 to 12 hours at well

the

I don't really care if the stuff is 10 or 11 PPM because there will be a new

You are the only thing that cannot be destroyed. But you certainly can
misdefine what you think you are...and that misdefinition defines your self
validating illusions of reality.
..which is how reality 'as we each know it' is created.
Vision depends upon NOT seeing everything. If you could see everything there
is to see, you'd be completely and absolutely blind. Vision depends on focus,
but the more clearly you see any one thing, the less you can see of everything
else.
The final truth behind the illusion is that there is no 'each'.
This is difficult to keep in mind when every illusion proves itself to your
satisfaction. If it doesn't, you create another illusion that does.
But then, all the proofs are contained within the illusion.
It's especially difficult to keep in mind when the very idea of 'me' depends
upon misdefining mind. [Because any definition at all has to be incomplete..by
definition..because mind has no limits or boundaries or locations to
define]

Clue: The mind is not in the brain. The brain is held in the mind as a symbol
of location. All objects are symbols with meanings that vary depending on
point of view. The brain does not think, it sorts though all of thought and
selects those that successfully don't contradict the program it is
running...and
denies all others.
If the program is so conflicted as to crash, the brain changes it and selects
different thoughts to back up and confirm the change. [but no program is
without fatal conflicts, so, programs don't crash...denial does. No program
could
run at all without denial.]

Oddly, the closer you examine anything with the sincere desire to know what
it really is and the idea that you don't already know, the more it goes away.

You don't exist, therefore, cannot be destroyed. [???]
Or is that, You are real 'because' nothing at all is?

Each of us is only that one mind taking different points of view in a common
loosly defined [misdefined] field of symbology...which can only be done by
denying to some extent that other points of view are valid. [This is the
function

Just what is it that tells a drop of water how big it is when it's in an

Fear is not real. It's a tool we use to make things SEEM real.

real and what is not. Further, it provides the needed definition of reality as
a

The value comes in agonizing over any possible solvents to the riddle. The

Someone else who might be writing a book.

Dear Warren,

Exactly what is your question?

There are several independent labs that will analyze your CS for a fee. They
use different equipment and different methods. Who did you send your sample
to? Who else did you send a sample to? What were the results? Did you do the
math? If your deadline supersedes accuracy, then maybe you should be writing a
children's book instead.

There are a lot of sharp people on this list that can help you if you can be

I'm doing this book on CS and have been talking with Mike Monett about
including his generator design. The one using a single 9 volt battery.
Well I built one for myself to test with the instructions he turned over
to public domain recently. He helped me along the way and I sent him
digital photos of the progress. He thought it looked like it should. So
after brewing a couple of batches I sent out two samples for testing.
One reading came back as 8.36 ppm and one read 10.05 ppm or something
very close to that. I don't have those reports here where I am at this
evening. It has no TE and is crystal clear. So I am quite pleased with
Mike's design. I plan to have it analyzed for particle and ion content
as well. But Mike thought those readings were low and that maybe it
wasn't such a good design after all. I know he did not want his CS
analyzed for some reason and I knew he had issues with Frank and Ole
Bob. But I want to feel confident about the information in the book and
so felt compelled to have it tested. I really didn't want to get in the
middle of this thing. I would like to keep his 9 volt design in because
it is so simple and cheap with one battery and it has a long brew time,
6-8 hours. You don't have to watch it so closely as with others. And it
make pretty good CS.

I need to turn the book over to the publisher next week so I am in
crunch time.

We talked about Mike Devour's suggestion of having his own CS
independently tested but he said. Tell Mike on my behalf I have been
through these battles before. It takes about three months, and it is far
too brutal for the gentle inhabitants of the Silver List. He also said
he disconnected from the Silver List and that he was no longer
interested. You guys who know him, do you think he will come to his
senses? Maybe someone should connect with him.

I just wanted to say thanks for all you have done for this list and the

Okay, enough ass kissing. Now for the mandatory Off Topic segment. I sent an
email to the manufactures of Thorvin Kelp asking them what dose I should take
as a dietary supplement. Below was their response:

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your interest in Thorvin Kelp. For your personal care use you
can contact our distributor, Maine Coast Sea Vegetable, you can reach them
at 207-565-2907.

Animals are capable of regulating their own intake based on need.  For all
animals we recommend a free choice method of supplementing, meaning that
kelp is available to the animals at all times.  This method works best
because the animals can and do vary their intake, tailored to their needs,
which can change with external factors (i.e. seasons, high stress periods,
and ect.)  Our intake references are based on twenty years of animal
observations, averaging the intake of different groups of animals in
different areas.  Sheep, goats and horses all use about 1/2 oz. per head per
day, while beef and dairy cattle use 1-3 oz. per head per day.  Kelp can be
added to poultry and swine rations at 1-2% of the ration by weight.  Dogs
use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per day and cats use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per day.

For fertilizer use we recommend 200 to 400 lbs. per acre broadcast or in the
row, 10 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. of garden, 1 teaspoon per 6 inch pot for
houseplants, and 10 lbs. per ton of compost.

Sincerely
Melissa Martin
Thorvin Kelp

As you can see, they were very careful not to give specific instructions for
human use, but it would seem that your heaping tablespoon a day is right in
the ballpark (1 tablespoon = 1/2 oz. by my calculations). My concern was that
your Japanese friend who was eating a pound a day might be getting a pretty
heavy load of arsenic.

Thanks for the info. As you might have guessed by now, I'm not a big fan of
dietary supplements. Consequently, I don't have any bottles of them lying
around so I can't check the labels to see what's in them. I have to rely on
what I
read on their web sites to get my information.

It is my view that dietary supplements at the best are a waste of money and
at the worst could contain things that are actually harmful. I also take
offense to most of the companies marketing practices.

I see nothing wrong with taking mega-doses of something to try to cure or
slow the progression of a disease, but I don't think that taking a sip of this
or
a spoonful of that is going to make life better in general. If I did, I would
be on prozac. Eating unprocessed food instead of something in a package or a

Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2003 20:56:16 Dear List members,
I have received a blizzard of requests, off-line for
details/suggestions on what dosages for general use. Following is a
brief response to Jules, which I hope will be adequate for most of the
inquiries. I believe there is small reason to consider
kelp as a mass-related supplement. That is, I feel the quantities I
consume (I weigh 180 lbs, 6' 2 in height) are just as applicable to a
120 personas for me. I know of a Japanese acquaintance who has
consumed fresh kelp by the POUND on a daily basis.for many years,
with nothing but splendid results.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.

Dear Jules,

I take one heaping tablespoon, mixed with one heaping
tablespoon of
granulated lecithin, twice daily. The only truly acceptable technique
(for me) is to place both in the mouth, simultaneously and mix with
enough water to form a slurry by swishing aroundnext, just wash down
progressively with a glass of water. The lecithin is a natural
emulsifier and enables a smooth passage of the composite mixture.
Attempting to take a heaping tablespoon of granulated kelp---alone---is
quite challenging, as kelp is quite hygroscopic.
I have used liquid kelp as a foliar fertilizer for 25
years. It
has proven to be an excellent amendmentfor all classes of plants.
Actually, my best protocol involves the combination of liquid kelp (I
use Maxicrop, primarily because it is very soluble, is a
reliable/repeatable product), H202 and black molasses. One effective
mix includes 2 ounces of concentrated (liquid)kelp diluted in one gallon
of water, together with one cup of unprocessed molasses and two ounces
of 3.5% hydrogen peroxide. Using a
conventional garden sprayer adjusted to coarse mistcover the foliage
to the point of moisture run-off.
Kelp is excellent for rabbits. An easy method of supplying it is
through using the liquid kelp at about one teaspoon per 1/2 gallon of
drinking water.supplied free choice for your rabbits.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.
p.s. The best bargain is found through purchasing the water soluble
powder, rather than the pre-packaged liquid form.

Here is a source for the illusive 24 volt, 40 ma light bulbs. As we all know,
a resistor won't glow bright enough to warn you of a potential problem until
it eventually fails. These lamps will not fail, even if your CS does.
A HREF=http://www.acksupply.com/catalog/lamps.pdf;
http://www.acksupply.com/catalog/lamps.pdf/A

From: Mike Monett
Hey Guys, it is not necessary to use a grain of wheat lamp. The purpose
is to limit the current when the electrodes are shorted. Alkalines can
be damaged or explode if they are short-circuited.

The lamp is rated at 24V. It will burn out quickly if operated
continuously at 27V. The lamp is rated at 40 mA. This is far too high to
serve as a current indicator while making cs.

So you really don't need to spend time looking for this bulb. A simple
series resistor will do the same thing. You can take an old radio apart
and find lots of them.

If you want to duplicate the results of the 3 nines setup, look for a
value around 100 ohms. If you want to try making cs with the ULVDC
method, look for a 33k resistor. The value is not critical.

Thanks for the response. I know of the report you are talking about. It's a
quote from U.S. Senate Document 264. It's a reprint of an opinion that
originally appeared in the June 1936 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine and was
placed
into the Congressional record by a Florida senator.

Anyhow, I live in an agricultural area and I agree that most of the farmland
has probably been farmed out. It may look like spinach but it contains the
nutrients of cardboard.

The point that I was trying to make, is that it's my opinion that most of the
dietary supplements on the market today are garbage. The people that are
marketing this stuff are sleaze-bags. They try to get others to do their dirty
work. Sell enough of this crap to your family and friends and you will get
yours
free!

Eating expensive pills or drinking swill that contains a little bit of cru
nched up shale, kelp, seaweed or coral isn't the answer. I think one would be
better off buying a multivitamin/multimineral supplement from Wallgreens or
K-Mart. It's a hell of a lot cheaper and at least they tell you what's in it.
Then
again, you can always eat some dirt or drink a little sea water (at least it's
fresh!)

I think the real problem is that people are over breeding and using up the
worlds resources. I try to check the OT list once a day if you want to follow
up
on this.

2003-06-25 Thread AScottSilver
Yeah, this is nothing new. We used to do it back in the crystal radio days.
If you string up a long run of antenna wire and connect it through a resistor
to ground you will pick up some RF energy. If you replace the resistor with a
coil of wire in parallel with a capacitor and tap the antenna side with a
germanium diode you can get some DC current. It's basically just picking up
broad
band RF transmissions through inductance from local transmitting stations. The
problem is that there isn't enough juice produced to do anything with it
except run a crystal radio with a 200K ohm headphone.

Art Bell is fun. I'm sure he will hype it up good. I thought he was off the
air again and George Noory was hosting the show now.

Please post all comments about the damn Jews running the media to the OT
list. Thanks.

Best wishes,

The second hand movement from a cheap clock motor works real well. It's
cheap, It runs on one AA battery continually for over a year, It fits nicely
anywhere, It's easy to hook up and it's a stepping motor, not a linear one.
Works
for me.

Andy

From: Ode Coyote
The simplest way to control that motor is to use a single D cell to run
it and a heafty pot to control the speed. [wire wound?]
Dropping 27 volts down to about .5 volts so the motor will run slow
enough dissipates a lot of heat and will kill your nines off in a hurry for
no reason and toast most potentiometers. Flat wide motors have more torque
at the lower speeds. Grab one out of an old CD rom drive.
You'll want to run it very slowly to prevent silver/hydrogen bubble
deposit buildups [the dread grey fuzzies] and the formation of 'chunks and
sparklies'.
The best way is to get a $$$ pulse width modulation device. Where? I
dunno.

Hi Mike,

I don't really care about exploding batteries or how to keep it simple unless
the list owner is going to post videos of exploding batteries and fist fights
amongst the members. I might even pay extra for that. (^_^)

Anyhow, in your recent post, you suggested a W shaped electrode and a small
drinking glass. I was thinking of a quart mason jar. Something that would be
better equipped to take a U shaped electrode. I'm thinking that the shape
doesn't matter as long as the surface area and the spacing are the same.

You also mentioned that the spacing between the electrodes doesn't matter
that much. Without agitation of the water, isn't the concentration of silver
between the electrodes going to be much higher then behind them?

I've got the variable voltage, current limiting power supplies and 5 1/2
digit HP DVMs that I use at home. I'm just trying to put together something for
a
simple person. No meters, no salt test, just make the stuff and drink it. I
was thinking of spacing the two U shaped electrodes at about 1 1/2 inches
apart.

I can hook it up to batteries or a wall transformer. I can put a resistor in
series or just tell them it's ready when the electordes turn black. I just
need to keep this simple. What do you think?

Thanks for your time.

CSRe: Long, Boring - Calculations

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. Regarding your mold problems - MOVE. Go to Phoenix
or somewhere like that. Mold gets into the attic, under the baseboards, behind
the walls and everywhere. You will never get rid of it. A few years ago, I
moved out of a mold infested environment and it made a big difference in my
health. I would probably be dead if I stayed there. A nice hot summer won't get
rid
of it.

Anyhow, back to CS (or EIS as Ole Bob likes to call it). The reason that I
don't want to spend all day making a glassful at a time is because I have a
chronic, active, autoimmune virus and I live an abusive life style. I don't sip
a
teaspoon at a time when I feel a cold coming on. I make it as strong as I can
and try to do 4 to 8 oz. a day. Every day.

The person that I'm making the generator for has different stuff going on but
of about the same magnitude. That's why I'm thinking of a quart mason jar. If
you have to make it every other day, eventually you won't.

So to rehash:

One quart production in about 6 to 10 hours.
3 feet of 12 ga. wire to work with.
Probably a resistor for current limit.
Stirring can be added later.
9V battery stack or 12VDC wall transformer.
Plastic lid and hot glue.

I can tell them an approximate run time or I can tell them to shut it off
when the electrodes turn black. Any more than that would be rocket science.

What do you think?

   Hi Mike,

  Hi Andy,

  [...]

Anyhow, in your recent post, you suggested a W shaped electrode
and a small drinking glass. I was thinking of a quart mason jar.
Something that would be better equipped to take a U shaped
electrode. I'm thinking that the shape doesn't matter as long as
the surface area and the spacing are the same.

I think you are right - the wetted area is what counts, and a shape
similar to a W gets the most wetted area in the smallest space. Of
course, you could fold it more times.

But why do you want to make so much? You only need a little if it's
  done right.

A quart would take a long time to make at these currents.

You also mentioned that the spacing between the electrodes doesn't
matter that much. Without agitation of the water, isn't the
concentration of silver between the electrodes going to be much
   higher then behind them?

When the production rate of ions is very slow, they have more
chance to disperse through normal diffusion, and have less tendency
to crowd and form particles. Diffusion is the effect you see when
you put a drop of ink in water. Pretty soon, the water is a uniform
shade. The ions do the same thing.

With a long brew time, the natural changes in room temperature set
up slow convection currents. These also help disperse the ions.

I believe Ken or Robert mentioned this some time ago.

I've got the variable voltage, current limiting power supplies and
5 1/2 digit HP DVMs that I use at home. I'm just trying to put
together something for a simple person. No meters, no salt test,

How are you going to verify your results and tell when you are going
in the right direction? Without some kind of test, you are working
in the dark and just wasting your time.

The salt test is cheap and never goes out of calibration. There are
only two indications that are important:

A pale blue dispersion indicates ions are present, but at low
concentration. From what I can gather, the ppm may be around 10 or
so. This is typical of the results you get running at high current
density. This seems to work well on bacteria.

When you see white clouds growing from the bottom with wisps going
off in different directions, the concentration is quite good. I
estimate the ppm to be a bit less than 20 on my system. This seems
to work well on viruses.

Once you try this you will see how easy it is to tell good from bad.

just make the stuff and drink it. I was thinking of spacing the
two U shaped electrodes at about 1 1/2 inches apart.

I can hook it up to batteries or a wall transformer. I can put a
resistor in series or just tell them it's ready when the
electordes turn black. I just need to keep this simple. What do
   you think?

Please put a resistor in series. Whether you are using a wall
transformer or batteries. Short circuits are such a bad idea.

If that is all you need, then go for it. But unless you are able to
test the result, you really don't have any idea what is happening.

You will end up asking everyone what went wrong. They won't be able
to help you, since they will not understand your process. I would
not respond to such ill-formed questions. Let some else do it.

I considered using a wall transformer with the simple cs generator.
The problem is they are not designed to run

Hi Mike,

I'll give it a try and see what happens. I started out with CPM and had to
adapt to DOS. (Remember DR DOS?) Before that, I used to throw toggle switches
to
load the accumulator, compiler and registers. Those were the good days of
magnetic core memory and paper tape readers.

Anyhow, I better keep this on topic. I've got about 3 feet of - 12 ga.
wire and I want to build a simple CS generator for someone. This is an AutoCAD
person so I have to keep it simple. I'll obviously be using something less
than 3 feet of wire in the vessel to allow for headroom and a connection area.
Any suggestions from you or anyone else on the list regarding current limit,
brew vessel size, wire spacing, etc., would be appreciated.

Hi Marv,

It's my understanding that flaxseed oil and linseed oil are the same thing.
You can spend the long buck and buy flaxseed oil at the health food store or
you can buy the same exact thing at the hardware store for a hell of a lot
less.
DMSO is like that. Health food store vs. feed store = big markup. It's all
marketing. I'm sure this won't make me very popular with some folks on the list
but, Oh well.

The next time you are at the grocery store, look at Tilex. It is watered down
bleach (sodium hypochloride). At the hardware store, look at JASCO driveway
cleaners. It's watered down swimming pool acid (sodium hydroxide). I think
there are only about a dozzen or so chemicals that the public are allowed to
buy
and they are sold under hundreds if not thousands of different trade names.

There are probably issues about purity, but consider the source. Most of the
stuff out there comes from the same vat. It has water and die added to it and
a new smaller container and a very expensive lable.

Best wishes,
Andy
