Neti pots need to be used with care, which just means carefully washing it
before using. Casual use has resulted in brain infections occasionally, with
final results.

Having said that, I started using CS in my CPAP machine about a week ago, and
everyone around me has been getting terrible colds, but not me!

I only seem to be able to only get 4 - 5 hours of sleep each night, so I think
this is greatly enhancing my health.

Hi Judy,

My experience is that CS won't hurt by itself. It is generally soothing. Adding
saline to that
would/could change it. Maybe you friend could have some normal saline standing
by and try
straight CS first.

A friend with a bad cold (?) wants to use a
combination of

CS and normal saline in her nebulizer (or
neti pot) so the CS won't

hurt. I'm over my head here. I just
nebulize with CS straight and cough

and cold disappear. Thanks for any experience!

In this case, two rights could make a wrong. I
think in the archives of one of my groups there
was something about the salt acting upon the
silver. I rely solely on CS. It's done far more
for me than saline ever did.

Judy, this could be an individual difference, not just her opinion.
Straight CS causes me a lot of discomfort used as nose drops, or in eyes.
I have to add something to it so it doesn't cause pain. Not everyone

Thanks so much for your response.
We know so little about this we really appreciate the help.
What is the strength of the CS (PPM) that you put into the nebulizer cup?
How much do you use each time? (a teaspoon or ccs or what amount?)
In the case of the flu, would you use it every hour or every day?
For a cold, what would be the amount?
Thanks for your help.

We use 10ppm CS in our nebulizer along with several drops of DMSO. Our
nebulizer puts out a very fine smoky mist and we breath it into the mouth but
also take turns thru the nostrils if congested. It has worked well for us but
when sick we also use the netti pot (same formula). The DMSO will help carry
the CS thru mucus.

I have used from 5 to 20 ppm. I ususlly 2/3 ounce each time. I normally
use it once, since that usually completely clears whatever I needed it
for. But if it did not clear, I would probably use it every hour or two.

I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem with DMSO my husband and I
have. We put a little deodorized cream we got from a prominent
integrative medical doctor on clean skin, along with the suggested pain cream.
 We
both got the worst case of depression we have ever had, and never used it
again. The cream by itself didn't have any depressive effect.

Any ideas?

ALSO: I have had excellent luck with two other techniques. (1) Spraying
10% CS into the nose and mouth with a very fine spray from a little spray
bottle (purchased at health food store with originally echinacea spray in
it). (2) In addition, when I have stubborn cough or sinus problem, I sleep
in a closed room with the ozone machine on (gives off just the right
amount), and always notice a very positive difference!

10ppm clear CS only. Be careful about DMSO. I have read that it can be very
dangerous in the lungs.
5ml max of CS in the cup. Breath in through the nose or mouth. Some nebulizers
come
with a face mask. They make things easier. It takes about 20-30 min to run

You'll get bored long before you get lung damage @ 10PPM...like walking

The lungs are even somehow capable of metabolizing metallic silver dust as
it was shown to be 90% excreted in the feces within 30 days.[Phalen and

..the ONLY way that can happen is if the silver goes though the blood stream.
With pure silver dust, PPM can't even be expressed , it's 100%except

I agree with the idea that fluorescent lights can cause health
effects in sensitive people. And are known to be the least
healthy light source for anyone.

Here is a good page with a questionnaire that helps people identify a
possible sensitivity.

http://www.ei-resource.org/illness-information/related-conditions/electrical-sensitivity--hypersensitivity/

Even though you are taking a Mg supplement and using
Mg Oil you could still be deficient in Mg. The trace mineral silicon
is essential to Calcium and Magnesium absorption and utilization.
Good sources are leafy greens and herbs like Nettles, Oat Straw
and Horse tail. Also in onions, best when lightly cooked or raw.
Chelated minerals, especially the orotate forms are better than non-chelated.

If stress is increasing your cortisol levels during the day then your Mg
levels could be dropping by the end of the day.

You may be experiencing a combination effect of all of the
above or some other physical condition may be contributing.
Repetitive motion and posture while you are working may
be part of how you feel at the end off the day. Also the level of
electromagnetic exposures in the work place during the day is
worth looking at.

Muscle spasms can be a symptoms of Magnesium deficiency.

Try taking Magnesium, an easy way is to use Milk of Magnesia, small
amounts will be absorbed if you are deficient and not cause the laxative
effect. Spread it out over the day or use at the end of the day. MOM is
 rapidly absorbed.

There are many food sources of Mg like almonds, cashews, peanuts,
 dark leafy greens, dark chocolate.

There are topical Mg Oils, that are not really oils, but concentrated
sea water. They are costly but they can be applied topically to the
 area.

Best way to get Mg is in your food. At the end of the day your muscles

Full spectrum bulbs would be nice, and although costly they last many
times longer than ordinary fluorescents and would increase worker

I just put CS in nebulizer and Breath in through mouth slowly and out
through nose.
I know it helps my sinuses. Not sure if it helps on my Asthma as I take
other Meds also.
I do know my Asthma is under control. It does help when I suffering from
a chest cold.
If you are sick it is a good way to get it in you body.
I suffer from congestion in morning, some time in morning I sound like I
am Dying.
My Wife was worried that I sound so bad in Morning. She went with me to
doctor.
Doctor posed question how many times have you had to go to Hospital for
my Asthma.
Response was never, then you have it under control.
One of things I use is Advair Diskus (the higher strength).
I am happy with using it in nebulizer, how often depends on how I am
feeling.
Just as a precaution I try one a week.
I have a once a day Antihistamine but have no luck lasting 24 hours.
I get better relief breaking tablet and using half morning and night
with a cheap generic Benadryl.

Could someone tell me how to nebulize the CS? (Or is there a link

only went because her doctor threatened to call CPS on me if I didn't

Will it help with just asthma? How much do I give her? Do I mix it

Re: CSnebulizer

2009-04-28 Thread Ruth Bertella
First of two posts I found in my files - hope they help:
Hi Lin:

Humidifiers work, but again, they are the lowest quality. People think
that a big, thick mist that nearly chokes you when you breathe it in indicates
a high quality and a high level of effectiveness... In truth, the exact
opposite is true.

As an example, the Brooks Bradley oxygen nebulizer, when used most
effectively, has a mist so fine that you cannot even see it without using a
mirror ( using the CS nebulizer to fog the mirror ).

The highest quality ultrasonic nebulizers create a very fine mist that
actually has quite a dry feeling when used. The fine mist medical nebulizers
create vaporized particles that more easily penetrate deeply.

Furthermore, Stephen Quinto, years and years and years ago, studied the
effective difference between different types of atomizing technologies on
colloidal silver. All of the mechanical technologies, including pressure-fed,
adversely effected the quality of the colloidal silver used ( in other words,
every other type of nebulizing technology other than ultrasonic ). How much
the change interfered with the actual effectiveness of the silver in-body, of
course, could not be determined... if it does at all.
Never-the-less, I don't want such simple truths to be lost.

Humidifiers, even ultrasonic ones, are designed with dispersion in mind,
not vapor atomization ie. vapor particle sizing. For pets, due to logistics,
it MIGHT be a better choice to use one, as it can be troublesome to get a pet
to sit still and breathe in the fine mist from a nebulizer... but for people,
the high quality technologies are vastly superior. I've tested medical oxygen
nebulizers, the Brooks Bradley oxygen nebulizer ( my personal favorite ),
pneumatic nebulizers, ultrasonic nebulisers, and
  humidifiers.

I usually use a Omron ultrasonic nebulizer, as it is the most convenient
and quite effective. Nebulizing EIS, this flu season and last, seems to be far
more effective than oral use alone. The flu strains running around the cities
this year are particularly brutal.

Yes, there is alot of different information out there, which can be very
frustrating, considering that we're dealing with a science here and not an art.

I don't know about 24 hours a day... Five minutes every hour or so would
be wonderful, but you'd have to get the cats to directly inhale the CS from a
nebulizer or humidifier. If you are considering using a humidifier to lob mist
into the general vacinity of the animals, then I'm not sure how to advise...
as you can't really be sure that the cats are actually breathing in any silver.
You'd have to experiment and actually examine the environment to see if you
can tell if you are successfully reaching the
  cats.

Best Regards,

Jason

Kayedoe makes a very good point here...

Does anyone else remember a post, I *think* it was by Jason, about
nebulizing very dilute hydrogen peroxide? A friend of his who smoked
wanted to try it... and the guy just about killed himself due to the
sudden mobilization of nicotine in the lungs... It only took one hit
on
the nebulizer for him to almost suffocate.

I agree that you should research use of DMSO in nebulizing before
attempting it, especially if you're a smoker or are dealing with other
inhaled matter that might be lodged in the lungs. There are several
places on the 'net where they would probably have info about this.

 Anyone else?

experienced/better informed among us.

I remember someone mentioning metal parts - maybe a screen? - being a problem
in a nebulizer - as if the metal would cause the silver to fall out of the EIS
and one would only be inhaling water vapor. Does this sound familiar?

Does metal in a container cause changes in EIS?

Someone in the past recommended a particular portable nebulizer as being handy
and effective for him. Does this sound familiar or does anyone of us reading
today have any info or opinion about using a nebulizer? What protocol or device
would you consider or have you used? If you used one, what were your results?

a nebuliser. You can leave it permanently set up and just put your face

The Medisana Humidifier is quite cheap in the US. Only about $45 I think. -

===

About eight years ago I bought a rather large, heavy Devilbiss. It worked

portable Omron. But the Omron is made with cheap plastic that outgases.

Does anyone know if the Medisana Humidifier is made from stable plastic
(like ABS)? I don't want to smell plastic leaching into my CS.

Thanks.

my own 240v to 12v DC /1000mA adaptor. (About $20). You will notice
that my output DC voltage is slightly different but it seems to have
worked fine for two years.

If you are in the UK note that there is a Medisana branch over there.
The prices are a lot more expensive than the US but I guess its got
the correct adaptor.

If you are in the UK note that there is a Medisana branch over there.
The prices are a lot more expensive than the US but I guess its got
the correct adaptor.

Fill it with CS. Or just put in as much as you need. A little lasts a long
time in a humidifyer or nebuliser. Use straight CS. Don't water it down

Hello Dee

Mine came from the US. It came with a 120v to 13.5v/1000mA DC

You're welcome, Patrice. As to what you use: while wearing a mask allows your
hands to be free, I don't think it matters what you use as long as you breathe

Hi ! Now that sounds like a good idea to clear the sinuses, Can CS be

 breathe the mist ?

Hi Barb,

You can't get CS into you that way. Heating/boiling the water causes
water vapor (a gas) to leave the surface. It then condenses as it cools
and you see and breathe the steam now, several inches away. The only
problem is the silver is left behind entirely in the pan.

This is how you purify water by distillation; you evaporate water,
condense it on a cooler surface, and collect the condensate.

The nebulizers, either ultrasonic or mechanical, break the water up
into very tiny droplets, which are small enough to float. You breathe
them in and can get the silver that way. The difference is the water
doesn't evaporate between the time it leaves the resevoir and enters
your body. Works much better! grin

Some ultrasonic humidifiers make good nebulizers, too.

Be well,

Mike D.

Hi ! Now that sounds like a good idea to clear the sinuses, Can CS be
put in a pan maybe with a little pure water and steamed lightly to
 breathe the mist ?

Be well,

Mike D.

You're welcome, Patrice. As to what you use: while wearing a mask allows
your hands to be free, I don't think it matters what you use as long as
you breathe through your nose. Breathing through the nose gets the
silver into the nasal passages, and puts more of the fluid in the lungs.
You may need to hold the mouth piece up to your nose.

Let us know how you do.
 Nenah

 Hi Nenah,

Thank you so much for your response!! At this point I have no mask,
only a mouth piece, although it probably makes little difference from
 using a mask.
The oregano oil is a great idea. I have some and will add it. Well,
  this
is a great thing. I'm gonna do it!!!

 Thank you again,

 Patrice

I bought an OMRON blood pressure machine. It seemed to work alright for a
few months then went erratic. Omron's response was to mail it in to them
for repair. I guess I don't think much of Omron products. Faith G.

Hi,

You usually get what you pay for and I consider the Omron Ultrasonic
(Model
NE-U22), the best on the market. You can hold it in your hand, carry it
in
your pocket, it is silent in operation, plus they advertise the micron
size

is the smallest on the market. 2 years warranty, runs on 2 double A
batteries.

Jean

I have bought many at the Wholesale Medical Supply for $ 40.00 each.

They are not ultrasonic and work very well.

Now I have an Omron Ultrasonic and cannot tell that much difference.

Some say Walmart had them at one time.

I think you can make one from a two bit Air Brush.

Fact is, I doubt that any of them are worthless and they all work to some
degree.

I was about to order a nebulizer. (The Omron NEC-28 XL nebulizer compressor
is one of the world's best-built compressors, says the ad.) It was only $38
at one place and $31 at another. Then I read that we should use an ultrasonic
nebulizer for CS. Does it really matter? I can't afford the ultrasonic ones
which cost about 3 or 4 times as much.

a nebulizer is a specific kind of machine. a less expensive way to get very
similar results is to get a humidifier, which is less expensive, but will not
keep the CS in the vapor, if it is not an ultrasonic humidifier. there are
quite a few ultrasonic humidifiers available. i've used two, made by
hudson, and in the 30 $ range. but there are more available...

Evening Wayne,

II know nothing about inventing, electronics or nebulizers but an apparatus
which sprayed nebulized silver into kennels of an evening or into an
isolated reduced space which each dog (or other animal) had to spend X
amount of time in, might prove a remarkable help to any kennel or zoo. What
about in hospitals? If ionic silver was in the air constantly MRSA might
become history. Ionic Silver nebulized restaurants and kitchens.

Excuse me, I let my imagination go at times.

Cheers,

Ian

There are many nebulizers on ebay. The one I have and really like is the
Invacare portable.
The salt pipe that I have is shown in the second link. I don't know the
seller though. I just wanted to show you which one I have and really like.
They are both excellent solutions to any breathing or lung problems for me
when I need some assistance.
