Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.1 not loading on ReadyNAS Duo Sparc
I fired up my old ReadyNAS NV+ (Sparc based, 256MB RAM). It installed und run 7.9.0 as well as 7.9.1 just well. You could add a debug flag to /etc/default/squeezeboxserver: SLIMOPTIONS="--d_startup" That should give you more information about the startup process of LMS. Not sure if this should be in the LMS forum or the 3rd party software forum but anyhow... I upgraded to the recent release of 7.9.0 and now irBlaster is not present in the list of available plugins. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Update Procedure
Thanks. I will do that. I have to brush up on how to access the Vortexbox through the command line. I used to do it. So I suppose that means that the LMS is actually running on the Vortexbox and not on the Windows machine that accesses it, except by being displayed in the browser on the windows machine. I noticed that the LMS only shows an update to 7.7.5. Is that because Logitec stopped supporting it at that level? Once you install upgrades beyond that will LMS be able to easily update to those as well? That would be a lot easier than having to type in all that code. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DLNA/Upnp Media Interface V1 not working in LMS 7.9
Hi all, I`m struggeling to setup DLNA/Upnp within Squeezebox LMS. Did anybody get the DLNA/UPNP plugin up and running, it´s Upnp/DLNA Media Interface V1 from Andy Grundman. LMS 7.9 is installed in a docker, Unraid version is 6.3.2. I`m trying to stream some audio files from jRiver to one of my Squeezebox Touch, but no DLNA devices are shown in jRiver. Same within the Buble UPNP App in Android. Other UPnP devices (e.g. an Oppo blueray player) are listed in jRiver, but without LMS. I downloaded when it was first released and had no trouble with Avast. Tried again after seeing your post and got your same error. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 7.9 is out!
Also a great thank you from here. Unfortunately, I am unable to download neither 7.9.0 release nor 7.9.1 nightly from downloads.slimdevices.com. Avast under Windows 10 reports file infected with Win32:Malware-gen (whatever that is) and blocks download. If I download under Linux and port the files to my Windows PC, it gives the same kind of message. I assume it is a false positive, but is there a way to tell Avast that this is safe to download and install? I guess other users must be affected as Avast is a rather common antivirus program. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Webapp for LMS ?
Hi All, This thread has prompted me to develop a little VB.Net application to do what is being asked here. It uses the dotNET framework's WebBrowser control to render the pages using whichever version of Internet Explorer that happens to be installed on your system. It appears to work ok using the recently release stable v7.9.0 version of LMS until you go onto the View Albums page when all hell breaks loose (usually but not always). I don't see this behaviour when using IE11, only when using the embedded WebBrowser control. A second gotcha is that clicking the 'close' button at the bottom of the settings screen causes things to lock up so you have to close it the "normal" way by using the red X in the title bar. If you want to give it a go to see if you have better luck than me then the binary is downloadable from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3FYTvOCzQYAOGU2YzExaUV6RzQ/view?usp=sharing To use it, just run it with a command line argument that specifies the url. There is also a a second, optional argument to hide the status bar: Code: usage: WebAppWrapper.exe url [NOTSTATUS] eg: WebAppWrapper.exe "http://127.0.0.1:9000; or: WebAppWrapper.exe "http://127.0.0.1:9000; NOSTATUS If anyone wants to see if they can work out why it crashes when viewing albums then the source code is available on request (pm me for it) but there isn't much to it really. I suspect the problem is with the WebBrowser control's internal rendering engine (which should be the same as ie11 in my case but obviously isn't!). +---+ |Filename: AlbumView.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=22337| +---+ 1xRadio, 2xReceiver, 2xController, 1xSB3, 2xSqueezeSlave, SBS 7.5.3 Inventor of SqueezeIR applet for the Controller indifference_engine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20698 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104305 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
