I downloaded the Windows desktop version of LMS and all the 3rd Party plugins are listed and available, but the same version in my Vortexbox still does not list them or make them available in the "Additional Repositories" option. Perhaps an uninstall might be the answer? Anyway, the Oppo picks up my desktop LMS in its network function so I'll use it to listen to my music files. I'm running Vortexbox v2.3 so I will update to v2.4 as there is a new LMS available for that version only. I still have the problem with my Squeezebox Touch that it will not install 3rd Party plugins but I will worry about it later. I just feel that I have been head butting a brick wall for the past 3-4 weeks and I'm tired of it. I wonder whether CustomScan is somehow interacting with FTS. Could you disable any 3rd party plugin, re-run a full scan, try again? However, I have not seen any notices that a new version is available, nor have I updated to any of the nightly builds either. You're running the released 7.9.0. There haven't been any updates to this build. That said, how does the server determine when an update is available and why was I getting them fairly regularly before but not now? There's the release, and there are nightly builds. If you're running a release (stable) version, then you'll only get notified once the next stable release is out. Which has not happened yet. "Too many open files" might be caused by some application using too many file handles, and not freeing them. Did you try a reboot? Quick update on this - I closed the Squeezebox ports on my router after my last post and everything has been fine since. However, I have not seen any notices that a new version is available, nor have I updated to any of the nightly builds either. If I manually check for updates through the Web UI, it also says no updated version available. At some point I will install a nightly and see if those plugins get enabled again. That said, how does the server determine when an update is available and why was I getting them fairly regularly before but not now? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server unresponsive, debug help please
In the last two weeks I've had a lot of trouble with Logitech Media Server becoming unresponsive: the web UI does not load and music fails to play. I need some debug help please. The first issue I notice was spotifyd.exe failing to run: Faulting application name: spotifyd.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5443d5f7 Faulting module name: libspotify.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4fd8be1b Exception code: 0xc005 So I made sure that all the spotify plugins were disabled (Triode, "official" and protocol) and updated Squeezeserver to a recent community version (7.9.0 - 1488878280). However, I still have the same symptoms: the web UI doesn't load, music cannot be played from the player end. I've not (to my knowledge) made any changes to the machine running the server, though it is Win10 and is receiving the Win10 updates. Looking at the Squeezserver log files (one is attached), the server does seem to be running; there are two potential errors: 1. Unable to log into mysqueezebox.com: I've had this forever, I know the username and password are correct because I can log into mysqueezebox.com manually using them. 2. Too many open files: I remember seeing this in the dim and distant past but I cannot recall now what the problem/fix was and whether it is actually relevant. Can anyone help me determine what's up? Ok, that log doesn't look anything unusual. What about server.log: FTS would sometimes optimize potentially large result sets. But it would say so in the log file. Worst case you could enable info or debug logging for FTS and try again.
