Sorry, I've not had this happen to me since my last comment, but I haven't changed my Deezer favourites much. I just thought I'd try and make it happen, and sure enough it did. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Is the version of LMS the same for all versions of PiCorePlayer that you install ? ..
I don't use LMS on my piCorePlaer, but I know that LMS is not included in the standard pCP image. *Short answer*: You can install the latest officially released version of LMS, and after that you can update LMS when a new version becomes available. *Long answer*: When you install LMS on pCP, it is downloaded from the pCP software repository. Installing LMS involves resizing (increasing) the size of the pCP partition, since LMS needs extra space for LMS itself and also the artwork cache of your music library is placed on the SD card. When installing LMS, you can select between the following three branches, as explained in 'this post' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113512-ANNOUNCE-piCorePlayer-7-0-0=1000633=1#post1000633): * Release (latest version of LMS that is officially released). At this moment in time this is version 8.1.1. * Stable (includes fixes for bugs that were found after the officially released version). At this moment this is 8.1.2 nightly * Development (unstable development branch that adds new features to LMS). At this moment in time this is 8.2.0 nightly So you can decide yourself which LMS version you want to install. LMS installation instruction can be found 'here' (https://docs.picoreplayer.org/how-to/install_lms/). These instructions are for an older verson of PCP, but are still more or less valid. | LMS 8.1.2 | Squeezebox Boom | RPi0W + pCP 6.1.0 + HiFiBerry DAC Zero | SqueezeAMP | CJS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68700 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113813 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connect CD drive to Raspberry PI for LMS
The additional steps you need to make. 1. Softlink cdda2wav to icedax with a command like *sudo -s /usr/bin/icedax /usr/local/bin/cdda2wav * 2. Add the user which runs LMS to the cdrom group (or whaever group control cdrom drive) with command such as *sudo adduser squeezeboxserver cdrom* 3. Restart LMS if it was runnning when you did the "adduser" command 4. It seems to be filterHosts. I just tried it on a machine I could easily remake from a pCP image if necessary. Before blocking incoming connections it had: filterHosts: 0 And afterwards it had: filterHosts: 1 >From the naming, my guess is that 'blocked' means 'filtered', and any IP address in the allowedhosts setting will still get through even when incoming connections are 'blocked'. chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113847 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Back in the times when my iTunes library was the source for the LMS, I used the tool -itunesexport -(name of the Windows version) to transfer the iTunes playlist in a format (*.m3u) that is readable by LMS. Here is a link to the website of the developer: https://www.ericdaugherty.com/apps/playlistexport/ It seems that an app is available in the Mac App Store (name: -Playlist Export-). The created playlists must be stored in the Playlist folder defined in the LMS settings. If you are just playing these streams on a single player with simple speakers (i.e. not via bluetooth), not synced with any other player - there is no reason for change in sound quality. MP3 decoding is grouped in "frames" which are quite short so there is no degradation of quality over time. The streams should be continuous. As MP3 encoding is done in frames, it is possible for MP3 bitrate to change (i.e. higher compression - lower audio quality) during broadcast but this would be under station control - LMS would not show this change as the displayed info is created on initial startup. I have not seen it with MP3 but it has been done with newer formats (in conjunction with the player) to deal with changing network loads and avoid rebuffering. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113843 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Block incomming connections
Yesterday before posting I went through a bunch of files and the only one that made sense to hold that setting was the server preferences file. I can not find a line in that file relevant to switch on/off that setting unless is called something different. I just don't want to reinstall the server again. I usually make a copy of a file that holds information that I am modifying but in this case I did not know. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Deezer library import fails to 'see' albums more often than not
Michael, I've just uploaded the scanner and server log. When In was inspecting it, I found: " [21-02-04 03:28:37.7635] Slim::Plugin::Deezer::Importer::scanAlbums (114) Importing album tracks for 1 albums... This is interesting, someone had the same requirement years ago. When they disabled fade they heard a couple of seconds of the following track. That definitely doesn't happen now so maybe this code has been changed before. https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?79067-Stop-after-current-track slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113835 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Both URLs I posted play OK on my LMS. Your supplied Tune URL resolves to Code: http://tx-bauerse.sharp-stream.com/http_live.php?i=rockklassiker_instream_se_mp3 http://194.16.21.227/rock_se_aacp http://tx-bauerse.sharp-stream.com/http_live.php?i=rockklassiker_instream_se_aacp The 128k MP3 stream is the same as the URL I suggested. No "https" which I thought might be an issue. Did you copy the URLs correctly (i.e. proper copy with no ellipsis). Try to play the URL below. http://tx-bauerse.sharp-stream.com/http_live.php?i=rockklassiker_instream_se_mp3 In some countries and some stations when URLs are played through Tune-in, ads are inserted which may be causing problems. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113843 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I need to check but I think this could be permissions and ownerships (e.g. is the user id which runs LMS in the user group allowed to access CDROM h/w) accessing the h/w or running the s/w. Sometimes services have restricted access to hardware. What is the user & Group id of the user running LMS ? Is LMS being run as a service ? > I don't think power is a problem - the drive has two connections and the > USB one is connected to the Raspberry Pi but the power connector is > connected directly to a PSU. Not a good setup - as power maybe be running through two different circuits/regulators. If power is needed use a hub - one conenction to Pi - and both connection to CDROM from same power source. > I haven't been able to find "File Types" anywhere in the Settings page > of the LMS web UI. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Connect CD drive to Raspberry PI for LMS
Installing icedax and creating the link for cdda2wav worked fine, and running -help checked out. Although /dev/cdrom exists, it appears to be a link to /dev/sr0, so results appear to be the same with either. Running the track list command with an audio CD in the drive doesn't look so good, the output from is: Code: T24: 259427 1:29.23 audio linear copydenied stereo title '' from '' T25: 266125 2:05.17 audio linear copydenied stereo title '' from '' Leadout: 275517 No media catalog number present. scanning for ISRCs: 25 ... index scan: 25... (preceding lines all the same, just with successive track numbers). The LMS CD player says "Cannot access the cdrom drive - check name and whether another app is using the drive(-1)". I don't think power is a problem - the drive has two connections and the USB one is connected to the Raspberry Pi but the power connector is connected directly to a PSU. I haven't been able to find "File Types" anywhere in the Settings page of the LMS web UI. counterpoint's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70641 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113812 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
