[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS scan (quick vs long) and MusicIP
I wonder if this is a bug with the scanner for LMS. If I scan my library using the quick option(Look for new and changed media) it gives me a larger number of MusicIP results than if I scan with the long option (Clear library and recan). The latter scan reflects the results of a MUsicIP scan. All the pictured scans were done withing a half hour with no changes to my library. I recently made firewall changes adapting 'geo-nft https://github.com/wirefalls/geo-nft' (https://github.com/wirefalls/geo-nft) to limit traffic to my PC from geographic regions prone to hacking/malware. I suspect this is the reason I am having difficulty, which started 24 hours after I set up the firewall rules thus Code: # Accept LMS on port 9000. tcp dport 9000 counter accept comment "Accept LMS on port 9000" # Accept LMS on port 9090. tcp dport 9090 counter accept comment "Accept LMS on port 9090" # Accept LMS on port 3483. tcp dport 3483 counter accept comment "Accept LMS on port 3483" In any event I can no longer control players (my touch and radio) except through the web interface and this does not allow for volume control (that appears to work on the player)> The player says that I have to download LMS from MYsqueezebox as it can't connect to the server (and my library). This I can do using the web interface.I do have a current version of LMS. The players can access Mysqueezebox for internet radio just not my local library (but it will through the web interface. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Upgraded to 7.9.2. Library/My Music won't play any music.
I wonder if it would help to delete your cache file. I have done this in the past to resolve LMS problems but can't say if it will work for you, but it seems you have nothing to lose, if you are planning to ditch the SBs. Cache will rebuild on the next reboot of LMS. First stop LMS. On my linux computer I do this by issuing command in terminal Code: sudo service logitechmediaserver stop followed by my password. Then go to your cache folder. On my Linux Mint PC it is found at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache You will need root privileges to delete it - Version: 7.9.2 - 1562753347 @ Wed Jul 10 12:46:39 CEST 2019 - Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8 - Perl Version: 5.26.1 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi - IO::Socket::SSL: 2.060 - Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0) One SB Touch connected by Ethernet - Denon AVR -1912 Receiver, Paradigm 4.1 speakers SB Classic connected by Ethernet to FX Audio D802C amp and Sinclair bookshelf speakers Two SB Radios wireless SlimChances's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=165 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110589 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Migration of LMS installation to another machine
There are a few threads explaining this but basically : Go to Settings/Information to find the location of the prefs folder. That's what you'd need to transfer. Just make sure you remove path definitions in the prefs files. And in the case of server.prefs remove the server_uuid value, too. Otherwise your devices might get confused. Settings say plugin directories are:/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins, /usr/sbin/Plugins, /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Plugins When I navigate to /usr/sbin/Plugins there is neither a folder or even a file by the name Plugins. When I navigate to /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Plugins the folder appears to be a short cut and clicking on it yields an empty folder Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1491339164 @ Wed Apr 5 04:19:41 UTC 2017 Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux Perl Version: 5.22.1 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) One SB Touch connected by Ethernet - Denon AVR -1912 Receiver, Paradigm 4.1 speakers Two SB Radios wireless SlimChances's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=165 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107786 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

If I select it gives me the option of "using" the library but this does not seem to change the My Music selections. For example Folders, Dynamic playlists, Custom Browse do not prevent me from choosing the old library albums/songs and I do not see an selection "Classic Rock" that I can just play. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] How to Save Advanced Search Library so it is playable
I am trying to use the Advanced Search function to create a library or search that I can play from my player. I have created such a library (Classic Rock-Flac) and I see how to play it from the web interface by going back into Advanced Search and choosing past searches(Classic Rock). However I don't get how to select and play that part of my library from the player itself. If I save the search as a library it is visible but not playable on the player. If I save the search as a "saved search" I have access through the web interface but I do not see it on the player. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Static Bursts at end of playlist
I noticed a setting to disable cross fade between tracks at different sample rates (in Player Settings under audio tab) that I never noticed before. I had had it set at "no" hopefully it will now take care of the issue. I realize now that because I am now using "Don't Stop the Music" I am now getting mixes of both Flac and MP3s which I didn't get before.
