I have moved back to Tidal now (from Deezer) as they have reduced price of the HiFi tier so cheaper than Deezer. So this is an issue I had with Tidal months ago before moving to Deezer but on returning to Tidal issue still there. As per attached screenshot a large % of the artwork for Favourite Artist list is missing. Elsewhere in Tidal artwork seems fine (yes the playlist artwork is fine in Tidal :D ). The behaviour that the artwork doesn't update when listening to a radio stream is something I've noticed earlier. I think this is a very old issue. 36097 36098 As mentioned in the thread, I'm not sure, but I believe that starting a track or a radio stream will cause the images to disappear. Maybe something goes wrong with the update of the artwork and metadata at cache.db. This is the display after hitting the play button on a Deezer album thus creating a playlist with just the single album. I'd consider this normal - for the first few seconds after starting playback. But thereafter it should either update, or complain in the server.log. But I haven't seen anything specific in there. However local tracks added to the playlist from my NAS all show fine. Artwork for Deezer tracks show fine in the "playing now" window above the playlist but not in the actual playlist. I am sure a change sometime recently (presumably in LMS) has caused this, was fine till a few weeks ago. I understand if you have run out of ideas and I appreciate your investigations to date. Well its was looking good for a while then suddenly some artwork is missing again, anything I add to the playlist doesn't show artwork till it plays. Also notice the total play time for the playlist dropped from around 7 hours to 4 hours. Maybe that reflects the tracks with missing artwork. Around mid-day today music suddenly stopped and when I went to restart I noticed artwork had gone again (that is all tracks yet to play missing artwork, those played/playing had artwork). I redid the cache delete and LMS restart and all artwork was blank, seconds later it fully repopulated. I run music from Deezer/LMS roughly 9am to 5pm daily so easy to monitor this artwork issue. Around mid-day today music suddenly stopped and when I went to restart I noticed artwork had gone again (that is all tracks yet to play missing artwork, those played/playing had artwork). I redid the cache delete and LMS restart and all artwork was blank, seconds later it fully repopulated. Its not a big deal as still able to play from Deezer but would be good to get this fixed. I've been following this as my fix was short-lived and my problems are exactly the same. So I just deleted the cache files (finding them on piCrePlayer was fun) and restarted LMS. After a few seconds the artwork and other track info populated in the playlist, all looking as it should. In the Squeeze Ctrl app againg all artwork present along with track times which had also dissapeared. Will continue to monitor. Trying to reproduce the issue with your playlist: I can indeed see the
same errors in the log files ("Can't use string
("https://www.mysqueezebox.com/api;...) as a HASH"), and the missing
artwork. But then, after a few seconds, metadata and artwork will be
updated, and thereafter clicking a track title would bring up the
trackinfo menu, too.
Metadata for these tracks isn't stored locally, but only requested when
needed. Therefore in the first moment it's missing. But LMS would then
request it for all queued tracks - which can take a few seconds. But
eventually it should all be good.
This metadata is cached locally for a limited period of time to speed up
subsequent lookups.
The above change has nothing to do with how metadata is rendered. It's
about polling a service to get notified of changes in your library. But
that's only relevant to the import of your Deezer library, not the
playback or metadata rendering.
Can you confirm:
- you can navigate and play content from the Deezer menus
- artwork and metadata is still missing after minutes of listening to
your playlist

I was getting same issue after updating LMS to level you show. I am using piCorePlayer, I went to the LMS tag for a look around and decided to hit the "Update Libs" button (Download and update LMS Binaries and Libraries). After a reboot all is well again, artwork showing. Fair to say I don't understand what happens under the covers but seems to work. If you are using pCP may be of help. Hi, I have a similar problem.
Since the update from version 8.1.1 - 2021-01-14 (dd356a423) to version
8.2.0 - 2021-08-03 (1ec16032b) the Deezer artwork does not work as
expected.
Or, at least, I recognised the missing artwork since the update.
After a restart of logitechmediaserver, all artworks are ok, but after a
while, they suddenly disappear.
If I play a track from Deezer, the artwork reappears in most cases, but
later they all disappear again.

the song in the WebGUI in the right panel.
The left panel remains untouched. That means I don't get any information

On my LMS server I only use WAV files with m3u playlists. I use a directory structure of "GENRE/ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACKNUM TITLE" which is used to guess the tags. In each album directory I have a cover art file "cover.jpg". I set up a new Xubuntu 20.02 system and installed LMS 8.1.1. On another host using a Firefox browser tab using the default skin I went through the initial setup and set the tag guess setting as above, set the media directory and playlist directory and then did a full rescan of the media. After it completed successfully, I started a squeezelite player on a third host and created a playlist for that player. The playlist was populated and displayed the cover artwork correctly. I did not start playing the playlist but again did a full rescan of the media. After it completed, the cover art was still displayed correctly even after refreshing the browser tab. I closed the tab and reopened it and still good. Later I did an update scan of the media and after it completed, I checked the browser playlist display and everything looked good. But after I refreshed the browser tab all of the cover art disappeared from the display and just the no cover art icon was used for every playlist entry. Multiple refreshes failed to retrieve the artwork: 33752 I then restarted LMS and returned to the browser tab and there was no art work showing. I then refreshed the tab and all of the artwork returned: 33753 I tried repeating the process of scanning and found that if I do a full rescan followed by an update scan the artwork disappears. The artwork reappears if I restart LMS or clear the playlist and add a new one. I don't see anything in the scanner or server logs that indicates a problem. I have LMS do the caching of the artwork and that seems to work OK but there are some messages about a playlist that I created that has a reference to album tracks that I removed from my server - this is reported as a missing playlist. It's just the display of artwork in existing client playlists that seems to fail. I have the same problem with 8.1.2. If I have a bunch of playlists operational with artwork displayed and then do a complete rescan of my media the artwork disappears from many of the playlists. In some cases if I restart the squeezeserver the artwork will reappear but in other playlists the artwork will not reappear. In those cases I have to clear the playlist and create a new playlist before the artwork reappears. Everything has been working fine on LMS, with artwork displaying properly. I edited some tags earlier tonight and did a total rescan, and now only a few of my albums, mostly early in the listings are showing artwork. I tried restarting the computer (iMac), and that caused the artwork for the song that had been playing when I initiated the restart to appear, but no others. I have tried rescans of new and changed files and a total rescan, but the artwork does not show up with the albums. All of my artwork is stored within album files, titled "cover.jpg." This has not been a problem, but some setting must have changed that is causing this issue. Any suggestions?
