SeaMonkey 1.1.17: undefined reference to XFreePixmap

2009-07-11 Thread Ангел Цанков
When I try to build SeaMonkey 1.1.17 I get 'undefined reference to
XFreePixmap' in function nsCanvasRenderingContext2D.o. The .mozconfig
file is:

mk_add_options moz_objd...@topsrcdir@/obj
ac_add_options --enable-application=suite
mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=suite
ac_add_options --prefix=/usr
ac_add_options --enable-optimize
ac_add_options --enable-system-cairo
ac_add_options --disable-crashreporter
ac_add_options --disable-installer
ac_add_options --disable-tests

Do I need to specify -lX11 anywhere?

How about this?

Open a composition window and draft your remarks to the ISP, promising
that the messages in question follow at the bottom of your message.

Now open one of the messages you want to forward, do CTRL-U (reveal
source code), CTRL-A (select all), CTRL-C (copy), ALT-Tab (switch to
the composition window), CTRL-V (paste). Repeat as necessary for the
messages you want to forward.

Good idea!
although it didn't exactly work as you suggested.
The first CTRL-U works perfectly, but when I select the second mail, a
new CTRL-U doesn't work!
I must shut down SM (and kill it in Task Manager) and only now I can
reuse CTRL-U a second time!

Does this happen on your PC too?

Nope. I've done this lots of times with SM, Mozilla, and all the way
back to the Netscape 4 days, and it's never been a problem. Just tried
it with two messages in this thread, no problem.

Current installation SM 1.1.16, WinXP Pro SP3.

Sounds like bug 344818 (system Cairo is the culprit). Either don't use
system Cairo or try one of these:

https://bug344818.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=320073
or
https://bug344818.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=264996

The latter was not accepted for branch with this comment:
Sorry, not interested in supporting system-cairo on the 1.8 branch at
this point (or really making build changes in general on the 1.8
branch), given how close we are to 1.9 release.

The former has a pending branch approval request and is much smaller.

Gmail didn't delete my messages after POP3 downloadings

2009-07-11 Thread John Cunniff

Hello, Everybody,

I would like to ask you a question, here are below.

I have SeaMonkey 1.1.16 but soon to upgrade to 1.1.17 -- I got the
update, but haven't had time due of busy moderating these busy mailing
list, so, anyway, after I moved all of my mailing lists to gmail.com to
separate my personal e-mail with only private e-mails, I use POP3 mail
server with Gmail (pop.gmail.com), I have the following settings that I
need help with. First, I checked Leave messages on the server then,
checked Until I delete messages. Then, downloaded many messages, like
from LISTSERV commands. I deleted everything after confirming. Then, I
went to mail.gmail.com and I found out that all of my messages NEVER
been deleted. That disappointed me. Also, all of them didn't mark as
read, either. All of them are marked as UNREAD UNLESS if I open a
message through web interface, it will mark as READ. Then, I had to
click Select All (no new messages came due of after midnight!) I hit
DELETE then, I cleared off INBOX for next day! Smile.

Can you help me how to fix it. It USED to work before with personal
e-mails over a year ago.

Another question for you. What do you like better POP or IMAP w/ Google?
I am using POP server.

Thank you for your help.

Johnny :)

I have 1.0.1 installed, and there is no problem. I recall a recent
announcement that subsequent versions would be compatible with only
Firefox 3.5, whiich would mean SeaMonkey 2.0.

However, the AdBlock Plus Web site indicates 1.0.2 can be used with
Firefox 2 and SeaMonkey 1.1. This is a question that should be
addressed to Wladimir Palant, whose E-mail address is found on
http://adblockplus.org/en/contributors, in the column on the far right.

AFAIK only one app can use a profile at a time. I'm talking about multiple
Geckos on multiple puters all running at the same time, and started using
a copy of a master bookmarks file (managed by SM 1.1.x on OS/2).

Where Is The Address Book in SeaMonkey?

2009-07-11 Thread Morton

Hi,

A so-called computer tech savaged my newer laptop, and I am trying to
put the pieces together. I have many of my e-mail addresses in my older
laptop, SeaMonkey of course. i tried to drag the address book listings
to my CD burner and burn a CD-R, to transfer to my newer laptop. It did
not work,as the address book is apparently not draggable.

Does anyone know the file name of the address book in SeaMonkey? I
thought that if I knew the file name, I could try and gat that file into
my CD-R software. I hesitate to use USB cables to transfer everything.

Any help, or any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

Which add-ons did you add to get the problem? I have no problems with
adblock 1.0.2

Dave

I'm not sure of all of them now, although not many: Monkey Menu, a tab
enhancer (can't remember which one); I also installed Adobe Flash Player
and the Shockwave player. Actually, the problem arose after installing
those two, but not in a way that I could definitely pinpoint either of
them as the cause.
