Using "backslash (\) on the keyboard" will be as close to perfect a solution as humanly possible. I'll just have to retrain myself ;/ SECOND problem. When searching a directory for key words in subject line [with perhaps a date boundary], I'll get a dozen or more hits that have to tagged individually. I would like to tag or mark as un-read all the hits the search has found. Ctrl+A selects all messages, Understood. or you can hold Ctrl to select multiple specific messages I use that routinely in anothewr context. or Shift to select a range of messages. I do not understand that phrase. *HOWEVER*, the two preceding options seem to cover ALL my needs. Then the shortcuts to toggle read/unread (M) or tags (1, 2, 3, etc.) affect all selected messages. I think I understand using "M" to toggle read/unread. This works from within the thread pane (e.g. if filtered using the search bar), in which case the menus can also be used, and also from the advanced search dialog, although the menus aren't available there so you need to know the relevant keyboard shortcuts. You can use the menus from the main window to work out what the shortcuts are, e.g. Message > Tag to see which number corresponds to which tag. I'm not sure whether you get shortcuts for tags beyond the first 9, so you might need to order them so that your frequently used tags come within the first 9 to ensure there are shortcuts for them. That paragraph [PLUS toggling tags] I do *NOT* GROK. What should I have read that I do not recall ever having seen ;/ I've been acound since Communicator days The un_satisfactory option SeaMonkey provides of creating a "saved search" for later display is inconvenient. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

I tried creating an account here and it fails because the captcha was not completed. Which occurs because there is no captcha to complete. Is there a fix for that? By any chance, did you set privacy.resist.fingerprinting to true? I had a problem with window sizes and also a weird unchangeable user-agent with that setting. No! ;-P That would stop Ronnie from reading *ANY* of the e-mails! ;-) If Ronnie doesn't want to read e-mails from a specific e-mail address or, I suppose, even from a particular server, Ronnie should be able to create a filter for the purpose as suggested by Paul in Houston and Mike. Thank you, Daniel. I understood Ronnie would like to delete all unread emails.. Which I find very strange. I do not want a filter to delete some e-mails, because I will be afraid that it also deletes emails I would like to read. I have filters to move emails to another map (e.g. newsletters). And yes sometimes an email moves to that map, I did not want to move to that map. I cannot move or resize it. I think this is the default behavior/look of the window. Do you know if you have any extension that provides this feature (a larger and/or resizeable "Edit This Bookmark" window)? If you don't know which add-on provides this, can you try enabling/disabling them one by one and see which one gives you the larger/resizeable dialog? If this feature is provided by an extension and you can find out which one it is, then it will be easier to investigate what is causing this truncation. -- Thanks, Nuno Silva ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
