If this is still about the original post here is the apparent
failure in communication ...

We are all in agreement that if we stuff several E-mail addresses
into a sub-book/sub-folder and then select that sub-book/sub-folder
as the target address (really multiple addresses), and then we
change the field to BCC that everyone in that sub-book/sub-folder
will receive a private E-mail and not be able to see any of the

That is a closed issue.

The original question has remained unaddressed.

Can the sub-book/sub-folder be flagged BCC in the address book

If not, why not, please?

Beyond my knowledge, but if I had to guess, I would guess not!

This is what I have been doing.

Now create your email content, noting that some ISP's require that
there MUST be a To: address (I normally stick my own there, so the
recipients get my address twice).

When I do that it eventually gets my E-mail flagged as spam --

I do not want everybody getting everybody's addresses - that is
the reason to want to force BCC: on the sub-list of addresses,

So you can receive emails adressed to you from anyone else, but as soon
as you address an email to yourself, your ISP spit the dummy at you!!
weird!!

I have done enough scripting in the past to beleve that this is

I don't know an answer to your question, but one possible way
around this is to make a list, containing all your required email
addresses, then when you need to send, bcc, to all these people, select
the list name and then click on BCC.

This should, I hope, when you press the send button, send out individual
emails to each of those in the list.

Give it a try, and report back, Doc.

That is what I am doing - what I need is for the BCC to be forced
for the special list (I called it a Sub-Book) so that it *never*
gets sent any other way.

I cannot believe that this is an unusual need - I'm guessing most
of us have lists of people we want to group-mail without disclosing
all of those E-mail addressess to everyone else.
