I noticed this too. Wow, that's bad. :(

I just noticed YouTube's chat doesn't seem to accept my messages too. :(

https://old.reddit.com/r/seamonkey/comments/fy21v6/unable_to_subscribe_unsubscribe_vote_etc_in/fn4z92q/
says "Disabling Firefox compatibility advertising to force the old
layout is the only thing that seems to help at the moment" to be able
to vote and comment. However, chat says "Oh no! It looks like you're
using an older version of your browser. Please update it to use live
chat." :(

I also noticed a few children friendly videos doesn't let me see and
rate/vote like in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmAV9Yhl-_4. I had to
enable Firefox compatibility to do that. Back and forth with and without
Firefox compatibility often for me. :(

It looks like Google/YouTube finally fixed the issues with their newer
web site design. Old design is still there with some not working for
some features like their chats.

Youtube seems to function normally for me. I have not noticed any

Are the errors some are experiencing dependent on the OS the end user is

Has anyone reported this issue yet? If not, then where would it go?
Google/YouTube (guessing since it used to work before for me) or
SeaMonkey team?

Filing bugs for google/youtube only issues against SeaMonkey is
unfortunately mostly pointless. Same for alerting them about breakage.
They don't care.

Custom Elements and Shadow Dom is on the backport list but no ETA.
With this in it might work again or not if they change other parts.

Even if we all tell them about it to show how many of us there are with
this issue? :(

Ugh! I tried to leave a feedback as shown in

YouTube account's profile picture menu doesn't show up. So I had to do
it with Firefox v75 web browser, but it was so slow to go through. Argh!

Yes because it gives you the old layout

The new version will use Shadow DOM V1. Firefox supports it but you can bet it

Would the United States be more prepared to deal with COVID-19
if President Trump had not cut the budgets of the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC)? His administration also eliminated the
Directorate for Global Health and Security and Bio-Defense,
the agency within the National Security Council tasked to
provide early warnings about epidemics and pandemics.

Google is rolling out a new design using polymer V2 using Custom Elements and

Firefox should support it too but as usual it is google and so works better
with Chrome. I am using Edge Chromium for such sites. github recently also
regressed this and is on the train to a "better" web for a minority (or the
majority which does not care about browsers and privacy).

supporting this browser soon". This gives you back one of the old layouts,
almost the same you get with ?disable_polymer=true query parameter. But you
have to append that every time, I think there's an extension for that, but I

Yes. Not quite the same on a day to day basis, but similar problems with a
brand new SM profile. Although, interestingly, youtube seems to know about my
subscriptions with a new empty profile. However, the endless not loading circle
appears for both notifications and my user info. When I'm at gmail, clicking on

I do not understand. Have you disabled JavaScript in the problem case?
Or is YouTube complaining about JavaScript despite the fact that it is

So far today, I have viewed possibly 7 music videos on YouTube.

I blocked that javascript with uBlock Origin by adding its address to my

I just checked, and I'm not having any problems with YouTube. I'm
running 2.53.1, and I have both NoScript and uBlock Origin installed.
With NoScript, I do have to enable Google, Youtube, ytimg and
googlevideo, but I don't have to enable fonts.gstatic.com. And I notice
that after I start running a video, I can disable google.com again.

For Google proper, I have an about:config entry for
general.useragent.override.google.com set to

	Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101

where I'm not advertising that I'm using Seamonkey. That one is to
fix an annoyance-grade display issue with Google's search page, where it
won't locate the cursor in the correct place. Google apparently does
that with all Firefox-derived UA strings that show the name of the true
browser. I've seen people indicate strangeness with other Google sites,
where it may be necessary to do similar tweaking of UA strings, but I
haven't experienced that myself. I definitely don't need to do that for
YouTube.

Normally, I would suggest clearing cache and cookies, but if you're also
seeing that behavior in PaleMoon, it's possible that the source is
elsewhere.
