This must have been back in the SM 1.0 days, or earlier!! Daniel No joke. Actually, it's quite sad. Bug #330094 was originally written 10 March 2006 against Camino 1.0. Later on that same date, it was updated to report the same problem with Firefox. Bug #331019 was written on 19 March 2006, reporting the same problem in Firefox 1.5.0.1. This was immediately determined to be a duplicate of bug #330094, which caused the latter's Product to be changed from Camino to Core (i.e., Gecko). On 10 October 2007, it was finally determined that bug #330094 is not a Mozilla problem but is actually a problem within http://online.tvguide.com/listings/. The Product was changed from Core to Tech Evangelism. So this problem was first noted 3-1/2 years ago and was finally found to be a TV Guide problem 2 years ago. I don't use the TV Guide site, so I haven't communicated the problem to them. Has anyone else tried to bring this to the attention of TV Guide? -- David E. Spoofing as Firefox makes the site work o.k. in SeaMonkey, too. They seem to sniff for Firefox and then serve some CSS styling, but if not Firefox they serve total crap CSS rules obviously targeted at IE only. They better sniff for IE only and serve the garbage to IE browsers while serving normal content to all others. Second, one could see the content in question applying following user styles to the page: table { display: table !important; } tr { display: table-row !important; } th, td { display: table-cell !important; } One may use userContent.css or the Stylish extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/2108 -- Stanimir ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

I went to my wifes computer and pulled up the About Seamonkey and it Showed she was using 1.1.14 and her computer can view the sites that Seamonkey 2.0 Cannot View . like the TV guide website . It is not that she is using SeaMonkey 1.1.14, but rather that the user agent string is apparently not spoofing FireFox (unlike yours, which does). I have to be honest, I'm just not believing this. I have Sm 1.1.4 installed on an XP box. I had installed SM 2, and migrated the profile with success. I left the 1.1.14 install on for test purposes. The UA reports 1.1.14, as it should, and the TV Guide site does *not* work unless I spoof the UA as Firefox. I am afraid Bush's credibility is a bit low right now. I really dout that his wife's computer is showing the site correctly, without either spoofing the UA, ofr having IETab installed. Maybe its the latter, but a plain m 1.1.14 on XP will *not* display the site correcty. I hope others will test, and if I am wrong, I will be glad to be proven so. Their plan is to serve different versions to users with specific browsers. I got it work by spoofing Firefox. You spoofed IE, and it did not work, probably because the version served was for the IE rendering engine. SeaMonkey has the same gecko rendering engine as Firefox. Always try spoofing Firefox first, that is most likely to work with SeaMonkey. By the way, you asked earlier about a version of IE tab that would work with 2.0, yet you state that you hate running IE. Using IE tab in SeaMonkey just converts SM to an IE shell, you might as well be running IE. Not that this is a crime, but just a point to consider. The link is: http://www.tvguide.com/listings/default.aspx This is bug #330094. It was reported to the Mozilla community about 3-1/2 years ago, for Camino 1.0. Less than two weeks later, it was also noted to occur in a very early alpha version of SeaMonkey 2.0 (1.5a). About a month after this bug was reported, a duplicate bug reported the problem against Firefox 1.5.0.2. While the www.tvguide.com site has apparently been upgraded to work with Firefox, bug #330094 remains open since the site still fails to work with other Gecko browsers. The correct fix -- to sniff for Gecko and not for Firefox -- was never implemented. Someone who frequently visits the site (which is not me) should report the problem with a reference to http://wiki.mozilla.org/User:Sardisson/Gecko_is_Gecko and to the bug report at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330094. -- David E. Any ideas on how to get this to work, I hate having to run IE. Thank you everyone. Okay, lets consider why sites sniff for browsers. Lee I rather run IE in a SM tab, it is more convenient to run. I use User Agent Switcher to switch UA, it does not list one for Firefox. It has an add function put I do not know what to add, can you help me with this? ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

I'm not saying that is wrong to do, but using IETab for a SeaMonkey tab is basically using IE in a SeaMonkey shell. I've never used UA switcher, but your current UA is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091017 SeaMonkey/2.0 Change that to: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091017 Firefox/3.5.5 Add that you your UA Switcher, and it should do the trick. Lee Thank you, Lee. Adding that line to the UA Switcher and spoofing FireFox did the trick without having to run IE Tab. Thank you again!
