Since it was mentioned, the reason I have not upgraded to 2.53.4, is that some
extensions do not work there. I am hoping that soon Seamonkey will be
compatible with all Firefox extensions. Until then it will be a struggle for
all Seamonkey fans.

Which extensions?
--

The extensions that matter the most and which do not work in 2.53.4 are
X-notifier 3.5.23 and Forecastfox (fix version) 2.4.8. These are the last
versions that ever worked with Seamonkey. When Seamonkey becomes really
compatible with WEBEXT extensions I will be able to use the latest versions now
developed for Firefox. Until then I will either stay with 2.49.5 or move to
Chrome.

If you’ve followed a link from another site for an extension or theme,
that item is no longer available. This could be because:

 * The developer removed it. Developers commonly do this because they
no longer support the extension or theme, or have replaced it.
 * Mozilla removed it. This can happen when issues are found during the
review of the extension or theme, or the extension or theme has been
abusing the terms and conditions for addons.mozilla.org. The
developer has the opportunity to resolve the issues and make the
   add-on available again.

Install the Classic Add-ons Archive (40+MB) extension/add-on:

Then

I don't remember trying this add-on, but its latest FF version is 33
which is way behind current SM. Nonetheless it might work, after using
the add-on converter if necessary.

Edit > Preferences > Mail & Newsgroups section, under the *General

I think you click the "Mail" button.
Under Preferences->Mail and Newsgroups in the Main Menu there is a
setting to

"Use SeaMonkey Mail & News as the default application for:
Mail News Feeds"
and a second line
"Use SeaMonkey Mail & News when opening browser links for:
Mail News" with check boxes
Everything is checked but it doesn't seem to work on the computer I "Reset".

Google says, Change default programs in Windows 10

On the Start menu, select Settings > Apps > Default apps.
Select which default you want to set, and then choose the app.

You may want your . pdf files, or email, or music to automatically
open using an app other than the one provided by M$.
Unfortunately that doesn't work. I can select SeaMonkey but it doesn't
set it and I get error messages saying no email is installed. I want
LibreOffice and some other apps that have a mail to function to open
SeaMonkey mail.

Looking at the From: line

and noticing that the "Webmail.Pacific.Net" does not seem to match the
"mail.sf.bg.ac.rs", I'd suggest *Almost Definitely* a phishing attempt.

When would you guess this might be released?

I'm still hanging on here, barely, mostly because the thought of
learning a new browser is overwhelming but there are a lot of sites that
seem to be using this right now. That and the recent Facebook Look up
issue are really infuriating.
