I am using a desk top computer. After I click on a video, I turn browse
mode off, and tab down to settings. Once I am there, I up arrow until
it gets to 100, although WE does not say anything. However, if you shift
tab, it will tell you if your volume is at %100.

Try setting your message composition to text.

The same happened to me the other day with another screen reader.
This seems to be new with the latest TB.

Subject: major thunderbird problems

Hey guys,

I am having a huge thunderbird problem. My system just randomly started
doing this, and it's annoying to say the least. I am running we 8.4,
windows 7. While i am in the middle of typing an email, thunderbird is
saying downloading page, and as i type it'll say no place marker, no
frame, stuff like that as i hit keys on the keyboard. I have to
minimize everything, then go back to the message window. This is very
annoying. On top of all that, when i press the up and down arrow in the
message window, window-eyes says nothing, or it goes ding ding ding
ding. I have tried 5 reboots, but the behavior continues. Any ideas on
how to fix this? This is quite frankly unacceptable.

hi
I have been using windows10 with no vision at all since it came out in
july of this year. I have been totally blind since birth and for a
totally blind person like myself windows10 is way way better and faster
and has even better accessibility than windows7 once you tweak one or
two things like set your default browser to internet explorer rather
than microsoft edge. and that is quite easy to do. windows10 is super
fast just like windows xp was and its even faster now that i put a solid
state hard drive in my computer.

You should first configure Windows Updates not to download or install
automatically. Then go to Installed Updates, and search for the update
there. Next, delete the update. Finally, check for updates again, and the
update will appear in one of the lists. I think initially it was an
important update, but now it may be an optional one. Either way, once you
find it, you can hide it. Remember, you can always get Windows 10 when you
are ready. If nothint else, you can unhide the update.

Hi Afik,

Perhaps reinstalling the Office 2010 set files will help you, as follows:
First, close all Office 2010 applications.
Open the Window-Eyes control panel using Control-backslash.
Press Alt-F to open the File menu, and then press F to choose the Factory
sets option.
In the list, press the letter O repeatedly until the Office 2010 option is
selected.
Finally, tab to the Install button and press Enter.
When asked if you wish to replace the set files, choose 'Yes.'

Windows 7 Question

2015-12-14 Thread Pastor Gil Pries via Talk
Hi,
I wrote the list a couple of weeks ago about something that is going on and got
no answer.
It seems that when I am not using my computer, after about 15 minutes or so,
the cursor leaves my desk top and gores to the task bar and there it stays
until I press windows D to bring the desk top back in to focus.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks,

Pastor Gil

the easiest way is to open the start screen and type in screen saver in the
search box.
you will also have the option for the power settings for the monitor and
computer there.

Can not think of any other Scheduled task that might cause this. Perhas
others might give a better answer.

2015-12-14 Thread net bat via Talk
if you don't remove the get windows 10 it will eventually install itself
without your permission.

go to windows update and uninstall this update. then reboot.
KB3035583
after you reboot keep looking for this same update , check it and open a
context menu on it and click on hide this update so it doesn't reinstall again.
even with this microsoft is determined to force you to upgrade. they will
probibly push another patch later to do the same thing.

RE: office tutorials?

2015-12-14 Thread Van Lant, Robin via Talk
There are several webinars and quick videos on the GW site that I found helpful
when first learning. I also found a few YouTube videos. I purchased a Word
and Window Eyes tutorial from one of the vendors, which I found helpful for
the first couple chapters, then it really got into using features of Windows
that I don't really use, like using style sheets, tables of contents, and so
on. If you are familiar with the office programs from the past and mainly need
to learn to use the ribbon, I think the free webinars and online video clips
may do the trick -- plus this list group. If you really want to become a more
powerful user of Word for all its formatting capabilities, then the paid
tutorials would be worth it.

Hi I am using internet explorer and window-eyes 9.0.
And I have looked in my system tray.
And my internet explorer volume is at 100 percent.
But when I play A you tube video the volume on it is very low.
So if you can change the volume level on you tube how do you go about
doing this?
With window-eyes or can this not be done?

2015-12-14 Thread net bat via Talk

install again.

Subject: Windows 7 Question

Got my problem solved.
The culprit was an update KB3035583.
I uninstalled it and hid it for a different reason, to get rid of the windows
10 icon in my systray.
My computer doesn’t change the cursor to the task bar anymore, but stays put on
the desk top.

Thanks to Net Bat for mentioning this update on the list today.

windows 8 or 8.1. I would lnot go backto anything else.windos 10 worksan its
rock solid. Ther are tings that can improve with windows 10 especially with
Microsoft edge and I havea feeling over time ai squared and Microsoft will
hvea solution for htat .

windows10 is fine.
