Re: restoring deleted files

2016-04-06 Thread net bat via Talk
just highlite the files you want. then open the context menu and click on
restore. windows will put the files back where they were before.

i don't know about folders. if you deleted a folder full of files.
if so try going to the folder then open a context menu to restore the folder.

Hey guys,
OK, i need a good way to do this. I accidentially deleted about 500
files, and i need to restore them to a certain folder that they came out
of. I know they're all in the recyucle bin. Do i have to cut and paste
each file individually? What's the best way to do this?

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you very much for your thorough response.
Were the Outlook Enhance app to have been installed and active, Kurzweil

Rather, Window-Eyes hotkeys always do.
Thanks so much for the parachute analogy for the mind; my wife and I both
had a good chuckle at the irony. Smile

I thought I'd tried the control-alt-a hot key when it first was made

RE: saving attachments

2016-04-06 Thread Rebecca Lineberger via Talk
Hi Veronica,
Rod already answered your question, but here is the longer answer. Smile.
You can take your pick of ways, as usual with Windows.
>From within the open message, as Rod says, from the file menu, you can arrow
down to "Save As."
A quicker way when the message is open is just to press the following keys
in order, not all at once:
Alt, followed by f and then a, to open the "Save As" menu.
Window-Eyes has given us several other ways to get at the attachment list.
The manual says:
When reviewing an open message containing attachments, you can quickly
access attachment details by pressing the Outlook Enhance Attachments dialog
with Control-Alt-A (by default). The attachments dialog contains a list of
all available attachments, including their size (if available). You can
choose to open an attachment simply by selecting it from the attachments
list, and pressing enter, or by selecting it from the attachments list, and
tabbing to and selecting the Open button. You can save an attachment using
the Save As button, and delete an attachment using the Delete button. While
Window-Eyes provides access to attachments using Alt-7 twice, the Outlook
Enhance attachment dialog provides a more accessible method than Outlook's
default attachment control.
My comments:
I can't use the control-alt-a hot key because I use the Kurzweil calendar
app and that uses control-alt-a to open the calendar.
The manual says that you need to press alt-7 twice, but I press it only once
and then use the tab key to tab to "Save As".
I find this last way quicker than the alt, f, a, but we're all different.
Good luck.
Rebecca.

2016-04-06 Thread Marvin Commerford via Talk
What address did you use? How can we even guess the answer to the
question about address change without that simple detail? The support
email shown in the Window-Eyes 9.4's manual's contact information
section is:

wesupp...@aisquared.com
If they're not answering messages sent to the documented support address
a problem really does exist.

We shouldn't have to do this but it may be a good idea to include your
WE serial number in the subject or message body.

Developing this further: I think a job number should be included in the

Good day

Often when going through a Word 2016 document I hear Window-Eyes say
"window". When that happens I cannot read the text with the arrow keys. I
know it is still there, because I can use the mouse pointer to read what's
on the screen.

My work-around is to press the alt key to call up the ribbon. Then when I
press escape I can continue reading or editing my document until I hear WE
say "window" again.
