I tried texting using the postings for verizon wireless. Almost 48 hours
later, none of the texts have gone through nor have I gotten undeliverable
messages. So, am thinking it doesn't work.

for AT,you would do the following:

1. In your emailer on your PC, go to the TO: field.

2. In that field, you would type:

1234567...@txt.att.net

where the numbers above you'd replace with the actual phone number to
which you want to send a text message. You can skip over the Subject:
heading and send up to 250 characters in the text message. Hope this
helps.--Matthew Chao

Verizon uses:

with the first part being the phone number of course.

Other carriers will do something else. As far as I know, there's no

RE: jump to a unvisited link

2016-08-19 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi Olusegun,

A minor correction, if you would permit, my friend. smile
What was asked is how to jump to the previous or next unvisited link.
The keystrokes you offered navigate to the next or previous link,
irrespective of whether it was visited or not.
The enquiry which was made surrounded the matter of whether there was a hot
key to allow one to jump to links on a given page which had previously not
been visited.
Thus far, Window-Eyes does not have such a hot key.

Respectfully,

Rod

And yes, it has always had one: Press the "l" key to skip from one link to
another when scrolling from the top to the bottom; the Shift-L keystroke
does the reverse. If the link has been visited previously, use the letter
"v" key if you are going from the top to the bottom of the screen, the
Shift-V keystrokedoes the reverse!

I'm only guessing here, but I know you can configure Kurzweil to start with

Therefore, perhaps exiting Kurzweil would cause Windows to shut down.
I have Kurzweil, and I haven't tried it yet, but that's my guess. Smile

have Kurzweil 1000 and that program has speech and the ability to turn off the

Hi everyone,
I recently switched computers and operating systems. I bought a newer
computer, and it came with Windows 7. I’m using the free version of
Window-Eyes version 9.5.1. The only problem I seem to have so far is that I
can’t get the hotkey for read to end (ctrl-shift-r) to work. I can still read
by line, but it would be nice to use it for email just like everything else.
Does anyone have any ideas?

also make sure the enhanced insert layout is off. control alt zero.

Subject: making the read-to-end hotkey work with Windows Live Mail

Hi everyone,
I recently switched computers and operating systems. I bought a newer
computer, and it came with Windows 7. I’m using the free version of
Window-Eyes version 9.5.1. The only problem I seem to have so far is that I
can’t get the hotkey for read to end (ctrl-shift-r) to work. I can still read
by line, but it would be nice to use it for email just like everything else.
Does anyone have any ideas?

To send a text message to an at cell number you will do the follow.

and when they respond, it will come back to your email inbox.

2016-08-19 Thread Matthew Chao via Talk

for AT,you would do the following:

Re: Thunderbird and it repeting the first few lines of A message

I was able to do that for a while, but it seems as though it moves to

course, if I use my way of using control-alt-w, and close Thunderbird,
it is back like I had not closed Window-eyes. It loads so fast that I

So why is this?
And maybe in the next release of window-eyes Thunderbird can be taken

And maybe we will get A fix for it.

turn it on the computer will lock up. Then I have to force a shut
down and turn it back on and it starts up just fine. So instead of
going to the start menu, if I just force a shut down it will start up
without locking up the next time I start it. Now I found that this
situation is related to Window Eyes. When I uninstall Window Eyes the
computer turns on and off just fine. To make sure Window Eyes is the
culprit, I uninstalled window Eyes and installed it twice with the
same results. If you're wondering how I turn the computer off without
Window Eyes, I have Kurzweil 1000 and that program has speech and the
ability to turn off the computer. So what do you folks think the
problem could be? Thanks,

    Dave

I've had some success hitting the F6 key and tabbing once.  Can't recall, but

I have tried the F5 refresh key and this does not help.  Nor does toggling

go to the same web site and all works fine.

Any ideas what is going on and how to prevent this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi thanks for telling us about doing that.
Yes that works for me also.
So maybe the folks that make window-eyes can look in to this and see why
it is evening happening at all the repeating thing I mean.

Hi Martha,
The easiest way to set any view to details in Windows 10 and 8.1, whether on
the desktop or in Documents, Downloads, Music, etc. is to press
control-shift 6.
The numbers across the top of the keyboard when used with the control-shift
keys go from
1 extra large icons
2 large icons
3 medium icons
4 small icons
5 list
6 details

Re: Thunderbird and it repeting the first few lines of A message

2016-08-19 Thread Pamela Dominguez via Talk
This happens whether you are using thunderbird or windows live mail. And
then it interrupts the message to tell you how many links there are. It
would have been nice if it had said all that before it started to read the
message at all. I haven't tried reloading window eyes to see if it stopped,
but I have the feeling it doesn't on my computer using windows live mail.

Hi thanks to another Lister hear.
I tried the suggestion of when I open Thunderbird and after right is open.
Hit my ALT control w and of course window-eyes reloads again.
But yes the repeating the first line or few words in an e-mail message
is gone.
So why is this?
And maybe in the next release of window-eyes Thunderbird can be taken A

And maybe we will get A fix for it.
Thank you all and hope this can be corrected soon.

RE: Repeating lines, just as in Thunderbird, but in Outlook 2013

2016-08-19 Thread gosselin_louis via Talk
I want to add that in Outlook 2013, at least, there is a significant lag of
time after hitting Enter to open a message, before speech begins. And it's
quite a significant lag; I estimate under 3 seconds of silence. And then you
must press the control key after that, to interrupt speech and then issue
the read-to-end command.

I, too, have been experiencing the much-talked-about repeating lines in
Thunderbird, during Read-to-end, in all messages in Outlook 2013. It's been
going on without relief through several upgrades and updates of Win-eyes,
and through updates of the Outlook scripts. I, too, find that tapping the
control key to stop speech momentarily after opening a message, and then
executing a read-to-end will cure the problem, but it must be done for each
and every opened message. It's very tedious, and slows down the reading of
mail considerably.

With much, much patience,
Louis Gosselin

Re: unable to purchase new storage on google

You should probably be trying this with Firefox, if you're not already doing
that. Also, look up the newish "application mode" of Window-Eyes, which JAWS
17 imitated later, which keeps you out of Browse mode more of the time so
that you can interact more fully with web applications.
