Re: Introducing Window-eyes 9.3
Would it be better to install 9.3 before or after installing windows 10? In going from windows 7 to windows 10, does one still need to reinstall window eyes after installing windows 10? You need 9.2 to go to windows 10. You can just install 9.3 after you upgrade from Windows 7. However if you install 9.3 before upgrading to 10 from 7 you'll need to reinstall 9.3 over itself to install the needed drivers. I even tried in the middle of the night. But I finally got it early this afternoon. But each step of the way, it was very slow. When it would have to go to the next step of the process, like from the download and UAC to the part with the setup, it took at least a minute. And then it said window eyes setup, and sat there like that for a minute, before it showed me the information on the page. I assume that I've attempted to download the upgrade too many times and that my online records need to be reset from AI Squared's side. But what about the upgrade's apparent inability to install over my copy of Window-eyes? The check for update dialogue reports the correct version, my two remaining SMA counts and the option to download 9.3. So, the installer is obviously checking and not finding information about my installation that Window-eyes actually contains. Bottom line, how can I resolve this and begin enjoying 9.3? Re: Introducing Window-eyes 9.3
I have had very irritating problems with 9.0, then 9.1, and then 9.2. I have written and bored most of you with my rants. Today, I get the message telling me there is a 9.3 now available. Good I say, and attempt to download the latest update. Like many of you, I too listened to three minutes of being told the process was progressing, and then I find myself back at my WE Control Panel. OK, I know about over loaded Servers, it is a Fact of Life, and so it was earlier today. About an hour ago, I attempted to download the 9.3 update again, and it downloaded fine. However now the update will not install. Tells me it can not update the program I have, end of message. Doesn't say why. Just Poof and it is gone. Attempted the downlad several times, and every time it downloaded the file, but still would not install over my 9.2. Don't tell me this 9.3 is not a Free Update? Looks like I will need to call A I Squared in the morning to see if it is Free, or it too, like the 9.2 has a Price to be paid before the update will install. Glad to hear from some of you that you all find the 9.3 to run faster If I need to actually purchase this latest update to 9.3, I am not going to be a Happy Customer of A I Squared.I am audacious enough to ask why I should pay yet again, for a program with Fixes for the older 9.2 and 9.1, that I've already paid a total of $250.And never mind the constant failure of the previous 9.1 and 9.2. So at this point, I am hoping this is a Free update, and if it is not Free, then I know the choices I have. Pay the money and shut up and be Happy, or Shut Up and go away. Can't wait for morning to come so I can find out if the 9.3 is Free of Pay Again Big Guy. -- Dave
RE: Introducing Window-eyes 9.3
I know when I got the update one time today, I had a very very strange issue with mine. it actually made me laugh. I started the install, and it got part of the way threw it, and then I got a dialogue box that said needs the next disk. I thought hmmm, ok, as that was odd, and just thought it was a fluke, and just pressed enter. I kept getting the same error box. so closed it, and tried redownloading it again, thinking maybe my download was just broken. sence then I haven't been able to get it at all, so I decided to just wait a day to try to get it, as it is like any update to a piece of software. people want to download it, so servers get slammed. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+jamminjerry=jjhof@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Kevin Barry via Talk Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2015 7:06 PM To: Michael Massey <masse...@q.com>; Window-Eyes Discussion List <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: Re: Introducing Window-eyes 9.3 something similar happens on every single update and has for nearly 20 years.
