RE: OT about MLB game day audio
You have to go to the echo app page and enable the mlb skill, requres log in info as I recall. Once done, just say "alexa m l b" and she will say "welcome to m l b" "what game do you want to listen to", or something like that. I think tomorrow you would just say "the all star game" Yep, you have the dot, the jack is line out, I have it plugged into my amplifier. I actually have 3 of the things, an echo, my first purchase, then the dot, so I could get lline out, and then the tab so I'd have a portable one. grr. You can also ask at any time "did the royals win today" and she'll say something like "they lost lastnight, bla bla bla" "they will play today at such and such. 73 Butch WA0VJR Node 3148 Wallace, ks. RE: OT about MLB game day audio
You can't go to the stations as mlb blocks them as they always have. I subscribe to mlb audio for $20 a year and in the past have always listened on the computer. When I enabled the mlb skill I had to go to the echo app page as I recall and eenable that skill and provide my mlb login info. From then on, it just works. I just say alexa mlb and she says welcome to mlb. What game would you like to listen to. I just say chicago cubs or whatever. This next part, I don't know if you need to be subscribed to mlb. I just say "did the cubs win today?" and if the game is in progress she'll say the score. If a later game she might say "the cubs lost lastnight4 to 3. They play today at whatever." You can't listen to archives as you can on the computer and pregame stuff usually isn't there either. If you miss a game on the computer and want to do the archive, I can give you a trick to do that but that is another topic. 73 Butch WA0VJR Node 3148 Wallace, ks.
