Actually I believe it is slightly less dead, potentially a Zombie, now than it was a couple of months back, see https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/merkaartor/2015-January/thread.html However it should be noted that is had less unique users in 2014 than iD, JOSM, P2, vespucci, OsmAnd, Go MAp! and Pushpin, and as a consequence the wiki pages tend to over state its current importance. Re: [Talk-GB] Road Names Quarterly Project
What does resolve mean with respect to these notes? I could obviously re-map where new housing developments have been built - but is the idea to also put additional text into the note to say what you have done and whether you think the issue is all resolved? In these cases you should check the name on the signs and if osm is wrong correct it. I my experience osm is often right and os opendata is incorrect, in these cases add the opendata name to a not:name tag. Where osm in incorrect it is often caused by an awkward spelling, so a photo can be useful. Sommerfeld Road in Telford took me a few attempts to get right, originally mapped as Summerfield. Re: [Talk-it] Differenza no_left_turn only_straight_on
[Talk-it] Differenza no_left_turn only_straight_on
D'altra parte nella documentazione di openstreetmap (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:restriction) c'è scritto There is no need to restrict turning into the wrong way of a one way street. This is taken for granted. . +1 to that! Hope it doesn't lead to an outbreak of tagging for the router though... You know, down/upgrading roads to improve the results... ___ Talk-it mailing list Talk-it@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-it

D'altra parte nella documentazione di openstreetmap (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:restriction) c'è scritto There is no need to restrict turning into the wrong way of a one way street. This is taken for granted. .
Re: [OSM-talk] Routing on osm.org
Hi really nice. Thanks to all persons involved. It's a very nice integration, looks good and feels good to use =) But I still have two ideas xD 1) right-click menu for OSM.org -- many users are used to have some right-click menu for the map. For OSM.org possible options could be: Set Start, Set End , Whats around? (query feature like when you use the button on the right panel) 2) customization: atm there are two router options shown for every routing type (car/pedestrian/bicycle). Maybe you could add some more routing options (thought of Graphhopper for car) and than people with an account could decide which one they want to have displayed. The second idea isn't really important. It's more a feature if you don't have other things to do ;). But the first idea is more useful. greets Christian aka Hedaja 2015-02-16 21:02 GMT+01:00 Clifford Snow cliff...@snowandsnow.us: Thanks to all those involved in adding routing to OSM.

-- Christian Quest - OpenStreetMap France ___ Talk-fr mailing list Talk-fr@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-fr

Re: [OSM-talk] Routing on osm.org
Adding surface tags sounds more like an upgrade than an outbreak. Tagging for the router surely means that you are tagging roads based on their finer properties, single-lane or dual-lane, asphalt or gravel etc. Also if the road is less traveled it sounds like a no-brainer to tag it as unclassified instead of tertiary? The bicycle router seems to give same result as car router in my area? Þann 17.2.2015 00:14, skrifaði Jo Walsh: On Mon, Feb 16, 2015, at 08:19 PM, Colin Smale wrote: +1 to that!
- surgical21 e-mail : surgicalmask...@gmail.com twitter : @surgical21 live in : Tokorozawa,Kantô,JP -- ___ Talk-ja mailing list Talk-ja@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ja ___ Talk-ja mailing list Talk-ja@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ja
