Re: 3.0.9.13 interface problem
Hello Peter See attachment. First seen in 3.0.9.12, now also in 3.0.9.13 when changing from Thread by reference (Alt+1) to No threading (Alt-0) in the View folder window. I also found it in .11 and reported it there. It seems to be related to changes on the No view mode vs the generic view mode. 9Val (I believe) removed one, and this is what causes the confusion. If you go into the column setup mode, reset the mode to have what you want - this problem goes away. I don't know anything about the strength of the algorithm, but I noticed that encrypting took much more time than the F7-searching function. I don't use it, I only tested it if it would work -we were told that the difference between the Home and the Pro version would be the encrypting on the fly. Secure Bat has gone up in the Pro version. Whoever may want to use it... But there may be an existing market for people who are happy about the possibility to solely encrypt their mails and the rest of the system is reachable for others. TB will not even start without password. Anyway: if you forget it, you have a serious problem :-) I think every user has to decide wether or not to use it, but good to know you could if you wanted. Glyps problem with the latest build
Hello Batlisters, I've been away from this list for some time and I thought let's give the latest beta a try. The first thing I noticed is the new look and the customizable toolbars. I like it very much but I think there is something wrong with my glyphs-file. As you can see in the attached picture. Can anybody tell me if I'm the only one with this problem and what can be done about it? Thanks in advance. -- Best regards, David ** The strength of women is psychology cannot explain them. ** [TB! 3.0.9.13 Return] [Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 4] [Running on a PIV [EMAIL PROTECTED] 512 Mb RAM] attachment: Glyph.jpg Current beta is 3.0.9.13 Return | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Backup issues?
Hi Batters - I have an emergency going on here; I installed a db package which has somehow trashed most of my executables, my Palm db, and apparently the install/deinstall controls on my system. It looks like I'm going to have to wipe the boot partition and reinstall, because nobody can figure out what exactly has happened, or the extent of the damage. The last time I did a backup from TB, the recovery wasn't exactly graceful - that was the Christmas release version of v3, if I remember correctly - I think there was an upgrade after that one? I've kind of been waiting (hoping?) that a more robust release was around the corner, but .. anybody know of anything I can do to back this up without losing too much data? My folders are really too big to sit and save each to text files, and some of it really is mission critical stuff. It's sitting on a high partition, and the accounts are POP accounts - also have lots of big filters. Oh .. yes, this is a beta version :-( That's why I'm asking here. tia - -- Lynn :Hawthorne: :usflag: :canadaflag: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * *Aun Aprendo I'd rather be WARP'ed* * * Team OS/2 http://www.turriff.net TBv.3.0.1.33 NT5 SP4 Current beta is 3.0.9.13 Return | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Last fall Tony Boom supplied me with a batch file that backs up TB!, including the registry, and I've been backing up periodically with it, but have never had to restore from it. However, Tony has successfully restored from it. I think Tony got it from Marck D. Pearlstone. Anyway, I saved the file, with Tony's letter of instructions. I'll be happy to send it to you by PM if you would like that. I think Tony himself would offer it, if he happened to read your plea.
