The Bat! 3.86.03 ALPHA

2006-10-11 Thread Maxim Masiutin
Hello Tbbeta,

The Bat! 3.86.03 ALPHA is available at
http://www.ritlabs.com/download/files3/the_bat/beta/tbb38603.rar

It should fix the problems with OTFE of previous beta, and should work faster
than before.

But this ALPHA is not yet well tested, please use it with caution and let us
know immediately of any problems that may ocur.

confirmed as fixed. What was the reason?

Delphi 7 (initial version) did contain bugs in the Code Optimizer and Borland
fixed them in Update 1 for Delphi 7, but introduced new bugs (in Compiler) in
this update. Borland then fixed these new bugs in Delphi 2006.

If we were using Delphi 7 without updates, then The Bat! worked propely (but
without Code Optimization for size and speed), if we did use Update 1 then
OTFE didn't work. We did compile this ALPHA with Delphi 2006 and hope the
bugs of Borland are finally resolved, but this may arize problems of migration
from Delphi 7 to Delphi 2006.

Yes I had stopped testing it because (when it first appeared), the only
solution was to reboot, and I don't use the feature.

Must be reported in Bugtrack. I will take a look at it, but perhaps I will
have to do that tomorrow.

Can't reproduce. Tried in microed and in windows editor both in text
and HTML mode... Using WinXP SP2. Other things also seem to be working
well in this version. So far.

I've found a different, small bug, which also exists in previous
version: the middle of the window with smileys is always more or less
in the place where you click on a button. If a button is close to
right or bottom edge of a screen, then some part of the window is
beyond the edge. This should be prevented.

By the way: if there are more then just one smiley sets, perhaps it
would be a good idea to place them in adequate tabs within the window.
