Dear beta testers, can anyone confirm this? With the new beta 10, PGP/MIME works very well while selecting Privacy/Sign when completed, but if you want to Encrypt when completed or both encrypt and sign when completed, it does not work. Re: Bounce Message Question
Dear Scott, Going back 16:31 25.11.2002... Hmmm, interesting point. Might cause a few problems with wierd mail loops. Although at some point, you'd think a mailserver would kill the chain... After *32* attempts! This is really an unsocial attempt. The queue for the mail server running this list is filles as well with such spam that cannot be bounced back, mainly because we're currently not blocking open relays but just tagging the messages, as there are a few users that rely on some mail coming from desperately open relays. If you want a good advice, forget it. Don't try to forge a bounce, you're wasting other peoples ressources, starting with your ISPs mail server that cannot deliver those forged bounces because all adresses (%OFROMADRESS is 90% forged as well) cannot be delivered. Re: PGP support broken?
Dear Dierk, Going back 18:31 30.03.2002... Couldn't verify your messages, yet, because I haven't got your key. On it's way ;-) But I received an answer by RITLabs (Maxim Masiutin) telling me that the bug couldn't be fixed for different reasons. One thing is the complexity of the PGP code and its poor documentation. Sad. Perhaps for V2? Re: PGP support broken?
Dear Dirk, Going back 10:11 28.03.2002... I know that many people ask for a plugin for 7.xx, but due to NAI's policy about publication of source code, I can understand anybody not wanting to support it (like RITLabs, me CKT or Phil Zimmermann himself). I understand that PGP 7 might be lossing edge, but I'm talking about the PGP 6.x problems with the plugin... All in all, PGP support is quite good in TB! - at least for the basic operations needed. We're currently evaluating The Bat! especially in the PGP context for my employer. It needs to work... POP3 with SSL: Strange?
Hi there beta-testers :) I've found a little quirk today. While trying to fetch my mails from a POP3 server that (at least tells it[1]) supports SSL, I get this: +08.01.2002, 17:02:06: FETCH - connected to POP3 server !08.01.2002, 17:02:06: FETCH - Server reports error. The response is: OK STLS completed +08.01.2002, 17:02:06: FETCH - connection finished - 0 messages received What gives? Thanks for any help! Re: Pop Server
Hi there Allie, Going back 23:07 06.12.2001... Another one I've not tried but some say is nice and simple is Hamster. I don't have the URL for that one though a search engine lookup (search string 'mail server hamster') should quickly point you in the right direction. http://www.tglsoft.de/misc/hamster_en.htm Works very fine... ;) Cheers, Johannesmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Stay away from hurricanes for a while. -- _ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Beta: 1.54 beta/15 Wish List : http://wish.thebat.dutaint.com
