4.0.14.7: 'Free caret positioning' not so free.
Hello all, With the advent of the new MicroEd the new 'Free caret positioning' option was introduced. This is not bad, I usually never complain about /optional/ configuration settings. However, I expected free caret to behave exactly as it did before, when it was not optional, but unfortunately it doesn't. With previous editor (i.e. in 3.99.29) I could position the cursor anywhere, including any number of lines *below* the last line already written (whether by a template or myself.). But with the new editor, if I want to do the same, I have to position the cursor at the and of last line and then hit enter for the number of 'blank lines' that I want to include below the last one already written. I don't know if this is a bug or WAD, but I really think the previous behaviour was much more convenient, at least for me, and something to be expected from a 'free caret positioning' (free cursor positioning) option. Any confirmations/agreements? -- Best regards, Miguel A.
