[v5.x]: Editor Problem - Formatting Lines
Hello TBBETA Members! For some v5 builds now there's a very annoying bug in TB's editor[s]. Putting the cursor at the end of the line, hitting Enter, then starting to write gives that mangled formatting. Filtering problem in 5.0.12.14
Title: Filtering problem in 5.0.12.14 Hi all, Just started having problems with filtering in 5.0.12.14. My scenario is follows. 1.- I have 2 IMAP accounts: A, a GMail account, and B, a self hosted courier IMAP server. 2.- I use gmail as a spam filter. All incoming SMTP for my mail address (B) is forwarded to my gmail account (A). 3.- TB! filters mail from my GMail account (A) into my main account (B). 4.- With version 5.0.12.14 when filtering starts I get an empty dialog box with a useless cancel button that just sits there, IMAP accounts disconnect. With version 5.0.12.13 filtering works as expected, mails are filtered from A to B and then the B inbox is filtered into the correct places. Filtering problem with release version 5.0.12
Hello Tbbeta, A user on TBUDL has the following problem with the release version 5.0.12: QUOTE I have a filter that has been in use for many years that filters all emails addressed to a specific address, it moves them to a folder marks the message as Read and then Parks it. This has worked well for a long time but since the upgrade to V5 has stopped functioning properly, it's almost as if the message is parked before it is moved so I end up with the original in the Inbox marked as Read and Parked with a copy being put in the other folder also marked as Read and Parked. The actions are: Move to the folder \\Barry\Fax Server\Received Mark the message as read Mark the message as parked. ... Additional info: The problem seems to lie with the action of parking the message. If I remove that action from the filter then all works OK. If I include the action to park the message then the original message remains in the Inbox with the Park flag set. UNQUOTE Can anybody confirm? If so, I'll open a bug report. -- Cheers, Thomas. http://thomas.fernandez.hat-gar-keine-homepage.de/ Message reply created with The Bat! 4.2.44 under Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current beta is 5.0.12.11 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Outgoing Mail Filter Problem
Hello, I hope that someone can confirm this or tell me if it has been fixed. I'm currently using 4.2.24.5 and set an outgoing filter to forward a message of all outgoing emails from a specific account to my boss (he wants to see everything - don't ask). Re: Outgoing Mail Filter Problem
Hello Zygmunt, Thank you for the response. Actually, I was able to create a work around by simply setting the filter from Any Message to Recipient does not equal and my boss's email address. New install, restoring (old) backup, problem with sending mail
It is the second case I observed it at a user, it seems to be reproducible: - v4.0: make a backup - remove v4.0 - install v4.1 or v4.2 - restore the backup - send some mails, everything looks ok - restart TB - sent mails after the restore are NOT in the Sent mail folder - compose a mail, try to send it from the mal composing screen immediately - error: Cannot export mail - close the mail composing screen (put the letter in the Outbox) - go to the Main screen. The mail is in the Outbox, so send it from the main screen. It works, and after it you can even send mails from the mail composing window, TB is cured. What bothers me is that users lose mails... It mus be connected somehow to the new index file, I guess. I will test it further. Please confirm it. PS: Is it normal that I made a support ticket into the official Ritlabs support system (about MAPI) and after 4 days of internal ping-pong (you do it, no, you do it) still no answer? What is your experience, if any? I try to help my users immediately or max 1 day. Filter problem
Hello all , I have a filter that I activate manually. It has worked for at least 2 years on the currently highlighted message. In this version it not only acts on the message that is highlighted, but on the one above it as well. (As if you held the combination of keys too long) This filter exports the message to a text file and has two sub-filters. The first creates an automatic reply and the second moves the original message to a different folder. In order to test this I created a new filter. I did it one step at a time. Export step - Resulted in the same message being exported twice instead of just once. Automatic Reply - Same result as above with 2 messages being sent to the same address. Move to a different folder - Resulted in the original scenario. The current message and the previous message are both exported, two replies to the two messages and 2 messages moved. This is extremely odd and very dangerous. I have copied my newly created filter below. It should work with the only modification needed being a to the folder the files are moved to. Try out on some test messages. By removing the check mark from step 3 you should be able to see the other result I was getting as well. TB! Hello all, I'm blind and am using JAWS as my default screen reader. I notice since I use the 4.x version of tb that JAWS does not read correctly the field name I'm in when navigating in the address book. And even sometimes It sounds like the field I'm in does not seem to be aligned with its label : I say that because I have difficulty to know with JAWS where I'm exactly. This behaviour can be observed in the business tab for example... Have someone (blinds if there are other) else noticed this ? And could someone put a entry on the BT (if needed of course) ? Sorting Office Problem/Suggestion
[At least] One of my filters has apparently stopped working. Sadly, it is the one that deletes all of the messages that SpamAssassin has tagged as SPAM, so its failure is having a quite noticeable effect on my mail volume. I have the condition as: Header field X-Spam-Status contains Yes OR Subject contains :SPAM: And yet I still receive hundreds of messages that meet one or both of those conditions. Since it is /possibly/ (though highly unlikely) that an earlier filter is grabbing them, I looked at the log to check, but alas, the log only has the past few hours and shows none of the messages I was looking for. I wanted to increase the log size, or have it written to disk, but I cannot find any log control settings in the preferences dialog. So... I have a suggestion/request: I think it would be nice to have an option that tells TB! to add an additional mail header that names the filter TB! matched for the message. For example, something like: X-TheBat-Filter: Mail From Joe And maybe even an additional option to add the part of the rule that triggered the match, if such a thing is known: X-TheBat-FilterRule: Sender contains j...@example.com I know that the second part is asking a lot, but I think that the first should be possible and it would keep a very useful piece of information available as long as the message, without requiring a very large log. Hello MAU, Has anybody else had problems with them? For example: ,- [ In PTV ] | Aquí sí hay algo sombra la Samsung GX20: | http://www.ciao.es/Samsung_GX_20__1203495 `- ,- [ In RTV ] | Aquí sí hay algo sombra la Samsung GX20: | _1203495http://www.ciao.es/Samsung_GX_20__1203495 | | Where the '_1203495' also appears in blue and underlined. `- Here it works correctly when MicroEd (Microstar compatible) is selected as default editor for text. When I switch to Windows (Windows compatible) as default editor for text and reply to your first message afterwards the problem you described occurs here too. -- Best regards, mse Using The Bat! v4.1.11.19 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current beta is 4.1.11.19 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Mark, M Where the '_1203495' also appears in blue and underlined. What do you mean when writing also? That it happens in both cases or only when using RTV? Could it be that it has to do with the QT? I guess, MAU is talking about the quotation signature. When Windows editor is selected as default editor for text the entire line including quotation signature becomes a hyperlink. Hello Stuart, M Has anybody else had problems with them? For example: Nope. Both views here show _1203495 in a different color. Sorry, I should have explained myself better or send the screen grabs to start with. I'm talking about viewer, not editor, and whether it is on Preview pane or Folder View.
