Good perspective.

Bottom line, if one is using Exchange or Google, the Bat must be able to work
with a serve based information. IMAP is helpful, it does not go far enough in
today's fast paced environment.

If Exchange and google synch are not added to the program, then the calender
should be removed or allow users to turn it off.

I think a real development question for the RIT labs is the question about
exchange capability. Most email clients today synch with Exchange servers in a
seamless and effective manner. Personally, while IMAP is ok, I would prefer my
client to synch with exchange so that information on any device is accurate. I
dread looking at a calendar on one device only to find out its incorrect.

I realize some people don't want to be connected to a server all the time. I
would ask the team to give careful consideration to exchange server feature and
the ability to turn off calendar as a choice.

Finally, the bat does not have task features. The power of tasks, along with
calendar is the ability to synch across devices. Another possible
consideration to move to an allow the bat to connect to exchange for full
synchronization capability.

The calendar feature does not work the Exchange server. Therefore, the
calendar is not useful or reliable for meeting appointments.

Also, it is picking up Microsoft Teams appointments when it should not.

Overall, I just don't see the value of the calendar feature. It would be great
if I could turn it off.

I've tried to use the Calendar functionality.

I cannot find any connection between the calendar and my exchange server
calendar functionality.

Is there a set up page in the program to connect incoming calendar invitations
with the Bat calendar?

Some questions I think they should be addressed:

1. There's no icon for the Calendar item when placed on main toolbar.

2. When we're on the calendar window, and we press the ALT key, it appears the
menu bar of the main window app.

The program that includes automatic update simply does not install correctly.

I hope the next release version addresses the problem. It was NOT addressed

After opening TB! without a license which fits v10 TB! shows a dialog saying If
I wanna go to a website to buy the v10 license.

If we press "No" to that dialog IMHO we should get the old TB! license window

:)

> - HTML editor improvements

HTML editor definitely isn't ready for prime-time – it's got a lot of quirks
that need working around (eg. replying to e-mails from a certain client always
ends up with my signature to the left of their signature; sadly I can't share
an example due to confidentiality).

Also please test the HTML Viewer and Address Book in High Contrast mode – right
now they always render with forced colours, which have some unfortunate
side-effects.

But while the new Calendar is a killer feature for me, it's also

Seems OK at first sight.

Thanks to the calendar I have now found what triggered an attempt to make a

because i use XMP macro plugin and Regula spam filter plugin, and
because The Bat! does not provide such features.

I am running 64-bit version of Windows with the require TPM chip.

Mailto etc does not work and the problem does not start when you install the
version that allows auto upates.

I have installed the version that does not do auto pupates and it works fine.

This is another reason to use the 64-bit version :-) It looks like newer
versions of Windows do not allow 32-bit applications to be set as a default
client. We'll need to investigate it further, though...

Oops. Thank you!

Please redownload the installation package and reinstall it - it was a last
minute error in the script

By the way, why do you use 32-bit version (I guess you're running a 64-bit OS)?

Thanks for the update.

I appears I need to pay for a new registration key. I'll do that in a few
minutes.

On another note.

The new version which allows for automatic updates DOES NOT WORK.

At no time through the beta testing could I get it work. I think more work has
be done testing on Windows 11 with teh security chip in place.

I look forward to future beta best opportunities. It is unfortunate I could
next this version in beta format.

Jerry
