%QUOTES vs %TEXT

2003-01-13 Thread Greg Strong
Hello TBUDL,

I received some results that I've never noticed before when attempting
to reply to an email from technical support. I wanted the reply to
contain the entire original message for documentation. In the on-going
dialog between myself and support my signature line was included in
support's reply to me. It appears there is a difference between the
%Quotes and %Text macro. When using the %Quotes macro the reply message
only goes as far down as my signature line in the original message. When
using the %Text macro the entire text is in the reply message.

Is there a work around for the %Quotes macro or when exchanging email
with support is the only option the %Text macro?

To be honest I like in-line quoting. Depending upon the answer to my
question, I may have to set up some address templates. TIA!

Colour groups are your friend here.

You can create a few colour groups by going to Options//Message List
Colours and Fonts.

Note that for each colour group you create, you'll be able to adjust the

PGP does it as well. This is because PGP sees any line starting - as a
PGP limiter, such as the - BEGIN stuff, so PGP 'escapes' it by
putting - in front of the line to break it.

Both add dashspace at the beginning of every line starting with a dash.

Thanks much for the two responses - I found it.

Re[2]: Free anti-trojan/spyware/adware/virus

2003-01-13 Thread Paul Berger
Have deleted and lost the query from a French site about how to use
SpyBot to fix selected problems after they have been found.

This may help:

Along the second line from the bottom, you have clicked on Check for Problems.

On the far right of this, you click on Fix Selected Problems. This will fix the ticked
items.

The bad problems are already ticked. You can tick or untick each item before fixing.

Translated by http://translation1.paralink.com/

How to run a mailing list?

2003-01-13 Thread Victor B. Gonzalez
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hello tbudl,

I've come across a fantastic walk through here
  http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/mailing_lists.shtml but it
seems to be more geared towards TB v1.54b10.

I am sure it is good enough but before I go ahead with
starting to learn how to run my own mailing list is their
a newer version tutorial out for 1.62 or for a newer
  version than v1.54b10.?

I only ask because I am sure a lot of new functions have
probably been thrown into TB since then and I would like
to stay as up to date as possible.

  Thank you
