Re: Filter: read message moving to folder does not work any more when the folder is moved

2004-09-18 Thread MAU
Hello Edgar,

Will this change? I thought it was a nice thing that you could
move a folder and the program could still find it.

This is due to a bug discovered after 3.0 was released. It was already
fixed in one of the post-release betas.

They are not menu options. You can configure a folder's delete
options in its properties. There is a panel there to configure
Alternate delete methods. This allows you to specify the movement of
messages to a named folder (in my case, a folder in a special account
called Archive) and to use the alternate delete method when purging
the folder in question.

Do a search on your drive for Bat! temp files left behind in some (perhaps
unknown) circumstances).

Search for *bat*.*tmp*

Bat! came to a slow death from me, 100% cpu usage; I found 38,000 temp
files! Deleted all these, now everything is fine again.

YMMV

In whatever program was the MAPI handler before (usually Outlook or

Bat! as the mailto: handler.

If you cannot figure out how to reset an application as the MAPI
handler, re-install it.

Not quite. If you use age 1, you see all mail Created
(not received) in the past 24 hours (not today). Not
exactly what I want, but quite useable.

It still would be nice to have a today option on Date of
