Hello Handsome, On Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 11:46:07 PM Handsome [HJM] wrote: HJM I'm having major problems. I'm angry, I'm frustrated, and tired. HJM And it couldn't have come at a worse time. I'm sure your post mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] helps you solving the problems. But maybe it's a little more efficient to describe the details of your problem*s* and ask for help (if they're TB! related you're already at the right place for this). Mabye, but I might be wrong ... I didn't follow all your mails and threads, but as far as I read you've managed to set up TB! and recover your accounts (somehow). The next step, if you're unable to find/figure what you want/need is to read and/or ask for help with a concrete and detailed described problem. My crystal ball is on repair, and I have the feeling others doesn't work ATM too, so I'm sad to have to tell you: you'll need to write a few sentences about your major problems, as nobody here will be able to know them and help you if you don't. N.B.: Happy ranting. It's unproductive, but if it helps you to cool down. The worst that will happen is everybody ignoring your posts if you rant to often, with the consequence your chances to find somebody helping your solve your problem(s) can be lowered to estimated zero. For me that's not really a problem, it might just be one for you, someday. -- Regards Peter Palmreuther (The Bat! v3.51.10 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2) Circus Bear is fuzzy. Re: English (British) Dictionary
Hello Greg, Why do you say registry? Well I can say ABSOLUTELY the problem all along was that of rights on a limited user's account. It had nothing to do with the registry. I don't know much about user rights or permissions as I am the only user in my systems and always login as administrator. That's why I referred to the registry. I now have the 'CSAPI spell checker' in TB with the original registry settings. I have 'American English', 'British English', 'French' as additional options in my 'Language' submenu. Even 'email' shows as spelling correctly. :-) Glad to hear that :) -- Best regards, Miguel A. Making CC sticky
Hi Bat! Fans, I use a macro to insert a BCC field in all new mails when the compose window is opened (by using the icon). When composing a new mail, and after adding the Recipient in the To field, I tab down to Subject. However this immediately wipes out the entry in the BCC field. How to make this entry remain? -- John Phillips, Sydney, Australia Using The Bat! v3.51.10 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 I had a life once -- then I found a modem, BBSes, and then the Internet. Hallo John, On Mon, 8 Aug 2005 20:21:28 +1000GMT (8-8-2005, 12:21 +0200, where I live), you wrote: JP I use a macro to insert a BCC field in all new mails when the compose window JP is opened (by using the icon). Actually, I'm considering the same. JP When composing a new mail, and after adding the Recipient in the To field, JP I tab down to Subject. You've got to reach the subject field, so this is good as any other way. JP However this immediately wipes out the entry in the BCC field. My first guess would be an AB template. As soon as you've inserted an addressee, TB checks whether you've defined an AB template for him/her/it. When this AB template (individual or group) is triggered, it overrules your folder and account templates. JP How to make this entry remain? Add the macro to your AB templates too. I would insert it in a QT. And include that QT in all my templates, so when you have something else you'd like to add to all messages, you can add it to the QT. Also when you want to change the BCC address, you'll have to change it only once. -- Groetjes, Roelof I love my country; it's my government that scares me. Hello Handsome Jack Morrison everyone else, on 08-Aug-2005 at 00:39 you (Handsome Jack Morrison) wrote: I was going to find the old account file folder (e.g., the one labeled John Doe), select it, and then hit Ctrl-C. Then I was going to find the new account file folder, select it, and hit Ctrl-V. Yes, thats perfect. I think we just have a bit of a semantics problem. By all at once, I thought you meant all at the same time. Yes, I have 10 accounts. And I was planning on copying the old accounts over to the new accounts -- but one at a time. Yes, thats OK. But in your account directory for John Doe, there are still single files, like account.cfn, account.srb, etc. etc. - those are the single files I was referring to. :-) I really shouldn't try this in my present state of mind, plus it's getting late. So I'm going to sleep on it again. I've printed out all of your messages, and I'm going to read them, then read them again, then read them again, and then maybe give it a shot (if I happen to experience one of those Eureka! moments while reading them). Or, I may just decide to leave well enough alone, and just cut my losses. I couldn't go through this again. I just couldn't. As I said in my previous message, there WILL be a point where TB won't start, namely when you copy back the corrupted account files. That will be an Eureka! point - we've found them! :-) The rest I already explained to you. You put these printouts under your pillow and slept well, I hope? ;-) -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. - Sir Isaac Newton Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
