Voyager w/v2.12
Hello Bat-Folk! If I use TB! Voyager will I be able to work with my v2.12 mail database, then sync the changes with my PC when I get home? Re[2]: Sanctioned bayes plugins (redux)
I tried the first two, then came across the AntiSpamSniper mentioned in another reply. After using it for a couple of days (the free version, which doesn't have all the features) I found it to be doing a much better job of learning and classifying, so will be buying it. I've not tried the last one, but the Sniper is doing so well I feel no need to keep searching... I've been trying Antispamsniper and it seems to miss about half the spam. I have it set to mark as spam if it has a score of 60. Should I be setting this much lower? I'm not getting many false positives but it is missing a lot. -- Best regards, Kittymailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.80.06 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I'm still getting a few undetected, but the detection rate is rapidly increasing. At present I'm highlighting the whole Junk folder and clicking the junk button each time I check the mail, and also clicking not junk for each good message. It's important to let it know what is not junk, as well as what is junk... I also did register it, and am using the bad words feature that is only in the paid version to simplify the spam filtering. However my address appears on my web page since I have an on-line business and as a result get between 100 and 200 messages daily, most of which are spam... -- Jim Kyle mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.80.06 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

You have to update to the most recent TB release in order to use Voyager. See http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/voyager/ - Please note that you need to purchase The Bat! Professional registration before using The Bat! Voyager. The Order Number and the Registration key for The Bat! Professional are also valid for The Bat!Voyager. However, as far as I know there is no synchronisation feature between TB and Voyager. But you can create a backup and restore it on the other installation. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de) Since I do not forsee that atomic energy is to be a great boon for a long time, I have to say that for the present it is a menace. If I use TB! Voyager will I be able to work with my v2.12 mail database, then sync the changes with my PC when I get home? ASK The Voyager license is included in the TB Pro license. You have to ASK update to the most recent TB release in order to use Voyager. Yea, I expected to have to pay for the upgrade... I would just not use the newer version, I'd stick with v2.12, therefore the question. I am happy with the way 2.12 has been working for me and re-doing all the filters, templates and anything else that may not move over easily has been what's been stopped me from moving to v3.x. ASK However, as far as I know there is no synchronisation feature ASK between TB and Voyager. But you can create a backup and restore it ASK on the other installation. I am hoping that the database files are indeed interchangeable, as the voyager sounds like exactly what I need. Quite honestly, the reason I use Voyager is so I don't have to try and sync anything. I just take it with me wherever I go! -- ò.ó Nick Danger [MUA: TB! However, ... there is no synchronisation feature between TB and Voyager. But you can create a backup and restore it on the other installation. ND Quite honestly, the reason I use Voyager is so I don't have to try and ND sync anything. I just take it with me wherever I go! What would you do if you lost your Voyager? I rely on my email message database like I rely on Oxygen! My message database is on a raid box. What I do now when I travel is to use the ISP's webmail interface and try not to send anything unless it's urgent. I just mostly delete spams and make calls based on the new mail, then do the real replying when I get home! I *MUST* be able to sync Voyager to v2.12, and yes, if this can be done thru backup/restore operations that'll work. I would consider buying the v3 license and just not use it!
