Re: overriding reply to header?

2009-01-07 Thread MAU
Hello Dwight,

I just joined a list which sets the return to header is set to the
sender instead of the list. My past experience with lists which take
this annoying tack is that I forget, and reply to the sender not the
list. Is there a way I can override this and have my replies go to
 list?

If you have a folder for this list (I do have an specific and separate
folder for each list I'm subscribed to) you can create a reply folder
template which includes this:

%TO=''%TO='%OFROMNAME l...@domain.com'

and that should do it.

If you would like to (try to) 'force' others to reply to you on the list
instead of replaying directly to you, you may also include this line in
your folder reply template:

%REPLYTO=%REPLYTO=Mail List l...@domain.com

HTH.

You can copy one filter by having focus on the left pane of the
sorting offeice and pressing Ctrl-C, next you go to the outgoing
filters and press Ctrl-V, now you can edit the filter.
That's what I do when I create an incoming filter and a similar
outgoing filter.

When you want to copy all filters from one account to another account
that doesn't have any filters yet, then you can copy the account.srn
file from the account directory for account A to that of account B. Do
this preferrably while TB is shut down.
However as this overwrites all existing filters in account B, this
isn't very suitable when it has got filters. In that case you should
use the first method or a variety.

When all of your accounts use the same or similar filters, you might
consider using common filters.

Server certificate expired

2009-01-07 Thread simbabque
Hello *,

When I try to get my mail, the server tells me my cert has expired:

!07.01.2009, 16:37:28: FETCH - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server
 certificate (This certificate has expired).

So far, so well, it expired a few days ago. I went to the adressbook
and deleted the old cert, thinking that might get it to request a new
one. But that's not what it does.

My deleting the cert was several days ago and even after restarting TB
it still uses the old (gone?) cert. It seems to still be somewhere in
there...

How do I get rid of the old one and tell it go get me a new one?

Regards,
simbabque

I flush it every night since it never seems to do it. I made a batch

If you're the server admin, you have to replace the certificate on the
server. Otherwise, you need to notify the server administrator to do
it.

Log Files and Error Reporting

2009-01-07 Thread Tom

Hello Everyone,

I noticed that one of my accounts did not receive any emails and
assumed it was due to the holiday season.
Only today I realised that I had changed the password when travelling.
While searching for the error it occurred to me that I never received
any error message (obvious and visible) that the server had rejected
connection. I had checked logs but did not realise at the time that
they are all account specific, so when I clicked on logs before being
in another account, it showed retrieved messages.

Is there any other way to be alerted to retrieval problems or to
access an overall log for all accounts? This would make it so much
easier to check when you have more than a few accounts.
