Yes. What you see in the editor before sending is what is sent,
without any additional wrapping. Technically, this isn't true for long
lines with spaces. For some reason TB! will wrap at some 200+
characters. I forgot the exact character limit.

If there are spaces, the viewer will wrap at the first opportunity.
However, there's no wrapping in the actual formatting of the message
sent.

Yes.

Yes. The beauty of not wrapping on sending. I therefore always have
confidence that the formatting I see when I hit the Send button is the
formatting the recipient will receive.

More than this, i've noticed that you can add many text after the URL
and TB doesn't wrap. See at the end of the line here:

Positively surprising...

I find many characters broken when I reply to HTML messagees using
MicroEd. There are many additional question marks, and many spaces
between words are lost. So I have to manually edit the part of the
original mail that I copy in the reply. Not nice. :-(

If the original mail was sent in HTML format and you reply in a plain
text format such as MicroEd, then The Bat! seems to have a big problem
with certain characters in a URL, e.g. the & character which it
replaces with a space character. Hence, if you use MicroEd to reply to
a HTML mail, you may well find that the link is 'broken' and it wraps
round because it now contains spaces.

No, TB doesn't do that. I know that other email clients break URLs
when displaying and cause problems, but not TB. That's one of the
beauties of TB.

It must have been wrapped at the sender's side. TB doesn't wrap on
send, either.

Is this while viewing a received message?

If so, then this isn't TB!'s fault but the sending client's fault.
Most clients will wrap upon sending and many do not care if a long URL
is one of the things it's wrapping.

You receive the message with the URL already wrapped and TB! simply
displays the wrapped URL, already broken.

I'll give you a long URL:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1880418592/ref=pd_ts_coop/104-7943297-2153543?v=glance&s=books&n=549066

I really don't expect TB! to wrap this.

RG> I do not mind the URL wrapping on-screen BUT it should still be
RG> recognized as a single link, no?

Well, for the above URL, you can make the viewer smaller and TB! will
still not wrap an unwrapped URL as with the one above.
