Re: [tw] Re: TiddlyWiki and Workflowy integration ideas

2016-04-25 Thread David Gifford
Hi Dave

In my edittemplate I have links to sections in my Workflowy, one for each
letter and number, A-Z and 0-9, and by clicking it I can open a tab to the
section of Workflowy corresponding to the first letter of the topic, and
add the topic there. Iframes would not be a good idea for this. More work,
and less space to work in Workflowy compared to using the entire tab for it.

Blessings

just wondering, do you view the workflowy instance from within TW5 using

[tw] Re: [TW5] Using jQuery to fetch JSON (tiddlers) directly from Google Sheets?

2016-04-25 Thread Martian
Hi Jed!

There is a description how to add and to update rows in Google Sheets with
simple POST requests
https://developers.google.com/google-apps/spreadsheets/data#add_a_list_row
But before doing this some Auth process should be done, so it could be a
little tricky.

But this is definitely a way to store tiddlers as Google Sheet rows.

Try creating a tiddler tagged $:/tags/RawMarkup containing the tag.

Yes indeed, it’s a bit of a blunt solution, but hopefully will allow you to
some exploring.

Yes, one could imagine introducing a new _canonical_uri_base field that
contains the name of a tiddler containing the base URI for interpreting the
_canonical_uri field.

I agree it’s an important use case.

Update

Some tweaks have been made. The most important is to introduce grayed out
areas to indicate where/when the SideEditor vs the sidebar is accessible.

Also some cleanup in the CSS (but I'm sure I will bring tears to anyone
looking at it... btw, I still prefer to not have it in a separate
stylesheet because I need the imediate access between the styles and where
they're applied.)

Re: [tw] A way to make Canonical URI more flexible?

2016-04-25 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
Hello Jeremy,

I hacked a test TW, and found that I could change the base with .

So the question is, is there any tiddler where I could put the HTML
code and have it invoked when the TW is loaded? Manually hacking the source
code is a bit inconvenient.

Changing also changes the base of any relative external links. So
you would have to choose between getting _canonical_uri right or getting
your links right.

Ideally you would have multiple bases, and images using _canonical_uri
would switch bases depending on tags or other criteria.

The point of all this is to make it possible to use TW on different
platforms where resources (images, pdfs, etc.) may have to reside in
completely different locations.

Thanks!
Mark

[tw] Re: Language plugin es-ES 5.1.12 Prerelease translated -HELP NEEDED-

2016-04-25 Thread Pau Deluca
Well. I've finally merged the full thing.
I've updated languages/es-ES with all the new and updated strings, and the
plugin is now available for checking and merging. I can do minor
corrections as I test the translation in situ, while working on the spanish
edition, but it should not suffer major amendments.

I now have to put some order in git. I got advised to make an early PR and
then push commits, so Jeremy could check them easier, but I think I should
better cancel the current PR, as plugin translation has miserably mixed
with the edition. I should then make a first PR for the plugin and another
one once the spanish edition is finished.

I'll check your instructions and try to follow them in future upgrades.
Danke for all help!!

[tw] Re: [TW5] Using jQuery to fetch JSON (tiddlers) directly from Google Sheets?

2016-04-25 Thread sini-Kit
we can use Api in spreadsheet
https://developers.google.com/apps-script/reference/spreadsheet/spreadsheet

For example if we put this code to scripts it will send e-mail with last
row

function sendMail() {
   //test_mail-название листа в таблице
  var sheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet().getSheetByName('Ответы
на форму (1)');
   var values = sheet.getDataRange().getValues();

   // проверяем наличие хотя бы одной записи
  if (values.length < 2)
 return;

   var lastValueIndex = values.length - 1;

   var myEmail = 'deliv...@restoran-shinok.ru'; // Ваш e-mail
   var subject = 'НОВЫЙ ЗАКАЗ!!!';

   //values[lastValueIndex][1]-это столбик из таблицы, нужно будет менять
циферку. Так же проверил, можно ли несколько в одно объяденить, можно
  var mes=values[lastValueIndex][6]+("\n")+values[lastValueIndex][2]+("\n")+
values[lastValueIndex][3]+("\n")+values[lastValueIndex][4]+("\n")+values[
lastValueIndex][5]+("\n")+values[lastValueIndex][7];

   // отправляем письмо
  MailApp.sendEmail(myEmail, subject,mes);

 }

If it helps !:)

I can describe the workflow I'm using. ... It's still manual work heavy,
but imo less frustrating as comparing different tw.html files and the
nodejs version.

As I said: I'm using a git branch only approach.

   - first I have a look at my own language directory: eg: de-DE
    and
   it's history: de-DE history button top right

   - So I can see my last commi. At the time of writing it is: Feb 7, 2016
   - Then I go to Jeremy's core language rep

   and open the history there. ( Apr 22, 2016 )

   - I scroll down to the last commit that is __junger__ than my last one
   - I open very commit from Jeremy and see, which language files have been
   changed.

   - I open the local copy of my tw master branch and do git pull jermolene
   master
   - I create a new branch from it with git checkout -b de-DE
   - I make my changes and additions to de-DE branch and create a PR from
   there
   - If Jeremy adds new stuff in the core I push to de-DE as long as it is
   not merged.

   - If it is merged I start over from the beginning

   - From time to time I check if all .multids files in my language
   directories have *the same number of lines* as the .multids files in the
   core. Just to be sure :)

have fun!

[tw] Re: [TW5] What is the exact syntax for an imported image in my custom stylesheet?

2016-04-25 Thread peter . biewer
Ok my call for the picture was completely wrong.

Thanks for your links. I found the dataURI page before but wasn't shure its
the right thing. Now I have the following line in my stylesheet:

background-image: url(<>);

It works, but only if the tiddler type is *not* css. Isn't this the
opposite of the last sentence of the example tiddler
? I might be wrong.
For me as a NonCoder the documentation is often hard to understand.
Is there a syntax for a css type? What exactly are the differences between
the one above and this one:

background: url(<$macrocall $name="datauri" title="Motovun Jack.jpg"
$output="text/plain"/>);

Nice you mention the tc-tagged method. This is my final goal. I have three
ribbons which should be triggered by a tag. Unfortunately I didn't get step
1 work in a pleasent way.
Is there a way to add an extra html element which works as a container for
the background image?
... I will do a short sketch

,

This will be the looking I have in mind. This color should appear if given
the tag "Ribbon_2". Then I want to add 1-2 more templates for other colors.

OK .. I see :)

There's probably a better possibility. I had a second look at the
plugins. ... it already uses a system tag: $:/type/comment to identify eg:
comments. So you can easily modify the "recent tab" filter to filter the
"unwanted" content. So in the future it would be easy to pull them back in
again ;)

The responsible macro for rendering is the <> macro
http://tiddlywiki.com/#timeline%20Macro You don't need to change it.
Just have a look at the "subfilter" parameter.

You may add your subfilter params here:
http://bottomtabs.tiddlyspot.com/#%24%3A%2Fcore%2Fui%2FMoreSideBar%2FRecent:%24%3A%2Fcore%2Fui%2FMoreSideBar%2FRecent%20%24%3A%2Fcore%2Fui%2FSideBar%2FRecent

If you just change it at:
http://bottomtabs.tiddlyspot.com/#%24%3A%2Fcore%2Fui%2FSideBar%2FRecent
like so

<$macrocall $name="timeline"
format={{$:/language/RecentChanges/DateFormat}}
subfilter="!tag[$:/type/comment]!tag[$:/other/things/toHide]"/>

The More:Recent tab still shows the comments. So you can have the "best of
both worlds" :)

Yea, that's a problem, all translators have. Keeping track can be a bit
overwhelming.

but

IMO the best way is to use your github branch only, for incremental
updates. We don't have a good way to sync with the translators edition, if
there are pending pull requests, that are not merged yet.
So the best way is to just push to the pending PR on github. Github will
add them as long as the PR is not merged. If Jeremy merges the stuff and
publishes new translators edition everything is in sync again.

[tw] Re: Hide certain tiddlers...just from the "recent" sidebar?

2016-04-25 Thread PMario
Hi Shaw,

If you want tiddlers to be hidden in standard filters you just need to
prefix their name with a $:/
That's the marker for system tiddlers. I did a short test, and this
mechanism works with bottom tabs. The plugin seems to show all tiddlers,
that are assigned with it.

hope this helps

 remark

The point that I don't understand is, that you actually want to hide them.
.. If something is important enough to show up as a comment, imo it's worth
to show up in the recent tab also.
If not. ... Why do you care to write it down, if it's hard to find
afterwards?

But that's just my thoughts.

have fun!

[tw] Hide certain tiddlers...just from the "recent" sidebar?

2016-04-25 Thread shaw . mcallan
Morning, All :)

I'm using the BottomTabs plugin (http://bottomtabs.tiddlyspot.com/) and
it's working brilliantly. My only issue is that notes and comments (which
are basically new tiddlers) are shoing up under the "Recent" tab in the
sidebar as well as displaying under the tiddler to which they're attached.

I had a look in the archives regarding this but all I can find is an idea
for a button that saves the wiki at a state which doesn't include the
"hidden" tiddlers...which doesn't help me when I do actually need to see
the atatched notes/comments.

Does anyone know if there a tag or filter I can use to ensure they dont
appear under "Recent"?

Cheers,
-S

There’s no such capability at the moment, but it’s an interesting suggestion.

As a quick fix, you may be able to use the HTML element:

[tw] Language plugin es-ES 5.1.12 Prerelease translated -HELP NEEDED-

2016-04-25 Thread Pau Deluca
Hi there!

I've translated the newly added strings to es-ES language plugin 5.1.12
prerelease.

I have a little problem here that I need to sort out. It's not the first
time I get something like this, but I'm unsure how to cope with it.

   - I have previously translated a set of strings, contained in a now
   outdated 5.1.12-pre translators file. These strings fix typos as well as
   terminological inconsistences of the spanish language plugin. They can be
   found:

   - As the outdated 5.1.12-pre translators edition HTML-file here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/885342/Translation_ES-es_5.1.12-prerelease.html
  - As a folder, in languages/es-ES, in my github branch
  translation_es-ES, waiting for the spanish edition to be finished to be
  pulled, as I'm continuously testing and correcting them.
  - As the extracted folder es-ES1, at
  https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f69ft5smmj0tekm/AACb6TojYzbQlUVUC11KLZv6a?dl=0
  - I have translated this morning the newly added strings in a now
   updated 5.1.12-pre translators file. ALL THE STRINGS IN THIS FILE EXCEPT
   THE NEWLY ADDED ARE OUTDATED, as the file loads current version es-ES
   string values, that should be changed by those I have pending submission.
   All these strings can be found:
  - As the updated 5.1.12-pre translators edition HTML-file here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/885342/Translation_ES-es_5.1.12-prerelease-updated.html
  - As the extracted folder es-ES2, at
  https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f69ft5smmj0tekm/AACb6TojYzbQlUVUC11KLZv6a?dl=0

My question now is:

HOW DO I MERGE BOTH, SO THE UPDATED STRINGS CONTAINED IN THE OUTDATED FILE
REPLACE THE OUTDATED STRINGS IN THE UPDATED FILE WHILE KEEPING THE NEWLY
ADDED?

I have unsuccessfully tried a couple of things in node, but I don't want to
cause any mess I can't handle in the repository while I'm still pushing
commits to the spanish edition.

Thank you!

P.-)
