Re: [tw5] Re: TW5.2.2: cannot get to control panel now

2022-03-31 Thread 'Chuck R.' via TiddlyWiki
Thank you it worked! And now I made a backup of my tiddly wiki which is on
Tiddlyhost.

I also did not see my question on Google Groups which I posted to. Are all
posts now being held for moderation? Because I had to use a new username today
for Google Groups for Tiddlywiki. My old username from 2014 didn't work. And I
haven't been on Google Groups for at least 3 years.

I also could not get access to talk.tiddlywiki.org from work, all I got was a
timeout error. I think our work may have blocked all sites but a few. Or they
use some type of third party block list.

I believe it would be very difficult to do without special programming.
Site hosts normally require you to use their own uploader software to
upload changed files, and TW doesn't do that. I will give it a try on my

Levo, do you have a lot of tiddlers open in the Tiddlywiki while the TW is

 Hi all

Twitter user Levo is reporting that their Stroll TiddlyWiki is so slow

Levo says the Stroll only has 400 tiddlers, not much tagging, no
macros. Levo said "I use the server" - not clear what browser, OS and

Any idea what might be happening?

"The future of Tiddlyspot is unclear." That's unfortunate because I really
liked Tiddlyspot and used it a lot. I did my own local backups about once a
week, so I didn't lose that much really. Never count on that online stuff
to be there forever.

Thanks for that blog link with the update, Eric. I use Bluehost.com if that
helps. They support a lot of options, programs, databases, etc.

[tw5] Re: Why is this so hard to use now?

2020-10-01 Thread Chuck R.
To share your reduced example wiki file try these options:

Copy your `mywiki.html` file to `mywiki.html.txt`. Adding this `.txt`
extension will allow it to be attached to nearly all forums or email
programs so other people can download the file. Many forums will make an
attachment with a certain file type unavailable as they may contain harmful
code. Appending `.txt` gets around this and it works great for Outlook
email too. Some of the commonly banned filetypes are: .pl (Perl), .docx,
.xlsx, .html, .pdf.

Now you can send the .txt file to cloud services like Dropbox, Onedrive,
Google Drive, or any other drive services and send us the link to the file.
Make sure the file on the cloud service is public so we can access it, save
it, and take a look at it.

Or just attach the .html.txt file to a message here in the forum.

Oh wait, maybe one cannot add brackets as part of the URL for markdown,
because links are created with brackets, like this: [This is the link
text](http://google.com). This is widely accepted markdown for an URL with
link text.

[tw5] TW 5.1.19 ignores left and right brackers [] in URL linkification

2020-10-01 Thread Chuck R.

I have invested a fair amount of work into a Tiddlywiki v5.1.19 but have
noticed, in rare occasions some websites use the left and right brackets []
in an URL that produces search results, but TW does not make this into a
live link. The linkification stops at the first bracket it finds. The
tiddler in question that contains this link uses the Tiddlywiki markup
language.

How can I modify TW5.1.19 to include the left and right brackets, when it
linkifies an URL, for a TW tiddler and Markdown tiddler? Sometimes I use
the Markdown addin.

*Example URLS are below. *
A Pubmed link:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=%22Electromagnetic+Fields/adverse+effects%22[MeSH+Terms]

An archive.org link:
https://archive.org/search.php?query=bubonic[]=mediatype%3A%22texts%22

These brackets normally appear in the URL bar of my browser for a search.
Both examples above are for a search and I will sometimes use a link for
the search in a tiddler.

Thank you!

[tw5] How to make numbered list of tiddlers with a given tag?

2020-09-29 Thread Chuck R.
I have TW 5.1.19.

I would like to have a "Garlic Main" tiddler which will list all tiddlers,
in a numbered list, or all tiddlers that have a tag "subGarlic".

Here is how to list tiddlers with a certain tag, but it is not a bulleted
list.

`<$list filter="[tag[subGarlic]sort[title]]"/>`

I would prefer not to have any add-ins for TW. I often use TW to list
studies on a "main" topical page, titled "Garlic main", then I link to
another tiddler which would summarize the findings, and provide a link to
the full study.

Does anyone know how to do this? It appears it is not in my notes anywhere.

Thank you!

[tw5] Re: TW5: Is it possible for TW to disable to browser refresh button?

2020-05-25 Thread Chuck R.
I found how to disable refresh via Javascript here. I'm not sure if TW5
uses JS.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2482059/disable-f5-and-browser-refresh-using-javascript#7997282

But I'm not familiar with JS nor how it would affect it in this case. I
would often open TW5 in one tab of Chrome, then open another website in
another tab of Chrome. The second tab should have the browser refresh
available via all methods: The refresh button, F5 and Control-R and
whatever other method Chrome might use. I don't see a Refresh option on the
Chrome 3 dot menu.

[tw5] TW5: Is it possible for TW to disable to browser refresh button?

2020-05-25 Thread Chuck R.
With TW5 we have to use the TW refresh button, not the browser refresh
button. After doing 30 minutes of edits I was tired (and sick and on tons
of meds) and accidentally hit the browser refresh and lost all my work. So
in TW5 can someone make a change to disable or make the browser refresh
button disappear? I use Chrome for TW5 files.

The idea is when a TW file is viewed by Chrome TW would disable or hide the
browser refresh button. My TW is on tiddlyspot.com. But when Chrome views
other websites the refresh button would still be available.

This would be really helpful to avoid accidents like I had. I described my
7 week cough in Jeremy's thread about his health.

Thanks!

p.s. sorry I could not get the tags "tw5" or "tiddlywiki5" to work for this
thread.

[tw5] Re: Personal News

2020-05-25 Thread Chuck R.
Best of luck Jeremy. You'll do fine.

I had flu-like symptoms on Feb 14 for 3 days. It's one of the rare times I
got a fever. Normally with flu my joints ache, but not this time, my leg
muscles actually ached. After 3 days I was fine except for a cough that
would not end. Then I developed an uncontrollable cough for 7 weeks and I
was on the most powerful cough and asthma meds during that time. They are
expensive! During that 7 weeks I spent about $300usd on a chest xray,
trying various medications, and the powerful asthma drugs. The asthma drug
alone is $60/month. For people without insurance it's $600/month.

I even lost my voice for 3 weeks and it was so raspy people had a lot of
trouble understanding me. I think what happened is some virus irritated my
asthma.

Just an FYI, it appears Mohammed may have copied his examples from a

examples in this thread do not work. Those extra double quotes are required
to display preformatted text in the plugin documentation, but not for the
macro to work.

[tw5] Re: Mohammed: change request to <> macro

2020-01-17 Thread Chuck R.
Jon, yes it does.

   1. My tiddler name is a data tiddler and is named "Footnotes".
   2. There is one footnote per line. The format of each line is
KEY:REFERENCE DATA. NOTE, the key is case sensitive.

Ex in "Footnotes" data tiddler:
myref1: Smith, John. "Book name", 1990.
myref2: Jones, R. "Another book name", 1999.

So if I want to reference different pages in "myref1" I can do this,
enclose reference in one double quote on each end:
<>

and then this later:
<>

It's very handy! Then I don't have to make 100 footnote entries, each for a
different page reference.

> However, I can't reproduce this example when I try it.

You have too many double quotes in your <> macro. Look at my
examples carefully, or copy, paste and modify them for your own use. On
each side of my reference there is one double quote.

> How is the ##mypdf working? What is it supposed to do?

On a desktop browser, when you save the tiddler, a superscript number will
appear. All numbers will be autonumbered for that single tiddler. Move your
mouse over the superscript footnote number and at the top of the tiddler
the footnote will appear.

I don't know what is does on a mobile browser.

All these formats are not well documented in Mohammed's plugin, and when I
tried to documented them in his plugin located in my TW my TW eventually
crashed and got a Javascript error. I had to restore it from a backup on
Tiddlyspot.

The problem with my editing is I don't yet understand how to use tabs
within a tiddler. I thought I had all my different single and double quotes
properly matched in my copy of Mohammed's docs but at one point the TW just
crashed and would no longer work.

[tw5] TW5: My tiddlyspot wiki is hosed, how do I restore from a backup?

I'm using Chrome with TW5 on Tiddlyspot.

Maybe we could have a button on the sidebar so when we load a backup TW5,

Hi, I work for a printer and use PDFs a lot. It sounds like the issues you
have is when you VIEW the PDF on the screen. The strange bolding issues are
merely screen artifacts. What you should look at is the print quality of
fonts when you actually print to the printer. There is nothing we can do
about this screen issue when you view the PDF on the screen.

Or you can try to update your video driver. That's all I can think of.

[tw5] Mohammed: change request to <> macro

2020-01-16 Thread Chuck R.
Mohammed,
For TW5 I think you wrote the <> macro which is part of a plugin
here: https://kookma.github.io/Refnotes/

Currently the <> macro takes 1 parameter in a variety of formats.
The change I'm asking for is adding a second parameter to be the page
number of the footnote I'm referencing. For example I might have in a
"Footnotes" tiddler a reference called "mypdf" which points to an url
http://www.somewhere.com/mypdf.pdf. But I might reference this PDF and use
a different page for each different reference I call out.

So the new way to call out the fnote macro would be: <>
where 16 is the page in the PDF I'm referencing. So when the mouse hovers
over the footnote superscript number, the footnote might display
"http://www.somewhere.com/mypdf.pdf,
pg16"

Another format would be <> which would
reference pages 16-18 and would be displayed as
"http://www.somewhere.com/mypdf.pdf, pp16-18"

Does that make sense?

Thanks Jeremy, can someone add that to the 5.1.22 release notes? Specific

The problem here is not my browser. When I put a .webm file in a local copy

[tw5] Re: How to change border color (in search bar for example)? Not given in pallette options.

2020-01-13 Thread Chuck R.
I'm just going to add some classes I found when playing with TW5. These are
in a tiddler called "Stylesheet" and Stylesheet has a tag of
$:/tags/Stylesheet. Be careful of the case of letters, case matters. Play
with colors or borders to see what class does what.

[tw5] TW5: How can I show tiddlers that I import on the Recent tab?

2020-01-13 Thread Chuck R.
When I drag a tiddler from one TW5 to another one, it imports fine but does
not appear on my Recent tab. How do I get those tiddlers to appear on my
Recent tab on the sidebar without having to edit them?

Also, binary files like PDF and EPUB do not appear in the Recent tab when I
import/drag n drop them into TW5. I'd like those to appear on the Recent
tab too.

Thank you!

[tw5] Re: [sharing]ASCII arrows snippets

2020-01-13 Thread Chuck R.
No, all fonts do not support all crazy characters. I work for a printer and
while we can get our fonts to work on screen, some printers do not support
things like the euro (), different arrows, M dash, N dash, some
degree signs, fancy double quotes, actual inch marks (as opposed to a
double quote), etc.

One of the problems is we must have at least 20 different Helvetica font
varieties, not included bold, italic, and bold italic. Thus some of the
Helveticas might support the euro, some might now, and Helvetica is a super
common font.

[tw5] Re: New to TW5

2020-01-13 Thread Chuck R.

   1. Download TW5 to your local hard drive here:
   https://tiddlywiki.com/#GettingStarted
   2. Choose a method of saving the file locally or to Tiddlywiki or on
some other server. Get that set up somehow. I use Tiddlyspot with Chrome,
Tiddlyspot does not seem to work well with Firefox as FF always wants to
   save the file locally.
   3. Start playing around with features of TW.
   4. I am able to store a PDF on a TW5 but cannot read it inside TW5. I
   just see a blank tiddler.
   5. For EPUB files I'm able to drag and drop an EPUB file on to TW5, but
the tiddler that contains the EPUB now only says "Tiddler contains binary
data". I cannot view it inside the TW5 and I'm unsure how to export an EPUB
   from TW5.
   6. For PDFs you will probably have to take a screen shot of the page you
want to view in TW5 and show that image. Just drag and drop the image to
TW5. Images are well supported. Then you insert the image into another
   tiddler which contains a table.
   7. TW5 has its own wiki language, it is not media wiki. TW5 supports
Markdown but then you lose a lot of TW5 features by using markdown. That's
why I converted about 20 tiddlers from markdown to TW5.
   8. Info on TW5 tables is here:
   https://tiddlywiki.com/#Tables%20in%20WikiText
   9. To download your CURRENT version of your TW5 from Tidddlyspot go to
   YOURWIKI.tiddlyspot.com/download.

2020-01-13 Thread Chuck R.
Do you have to use Github? What about dropbox? Maybe you can set up
security there to prevent direct downloading somehow. I already serve
normal HTML files from Dropbox and it works fine. But I'm guessing for the
free Dropbox account security options might be limited.

Here are many more file sharing sites you might try, so you can see if they
support HTML and TW5.

The file sharing is divided into several parts: "File sharing", and
"Storing text, readme files, documentation", and "Can edit after file
creation", and "Blockchain storage", etc.

[tw5] TW5: How to delete many tiddlers at once?

2020-01-07 Thread Chuck R.
My system: TW5.1.19 on Tiddlyspot.com using Google Chrome browser.

I am in the process of splitting one TW5 file into 2 files, so I copied the
file to another spot on Tiddlyspot. So now I'm deleting, from the new TW5
file, the tiddlers I no longer need. However I must have 60-70 tiddlers
left to delete. Is there a way to list all tiddlers and check a box next to
the ones I want to delete?

I also made another custom macro 'colormediv' where I used and
tags (separately) and neither worked to change the background color.

\define colortransclude(tiddler)

I've also saved the TW5, and reloaded it from the TW5 sidebar to no effect.
It seems it is not possible to change the background-color at all using any
method.

What a challenge!

Wait. *I just removed the space from my tiddler to transclude so the
tiddler title is not "Studyutilities" and this worked to change the

The font-weight and font color is changed, but not the background color

[tw5] Re: TW5: auto color background of transcluded text

2019-12-28 Thread Chuck R.
Sorry all, this just isn't changing the background color. I wonder if the
'colortransclude' CSS gets overridden because it appears too early in the
order of CSS rendering. I've also tried defining the macro with and without
double quotes around the $tiddler$ variable and nothing works.

The CSS in the 'colortransclude' macro should be the last CSS applied to
make sure that CSS overrides all other CSS in TW5.

So this macro works, but just doesn't change the background color of the
transcluded text.

Thanks Ste, I've used Google Analytics before. But Google Analytics is
infamous for counting robot spiders searching your site, because they load
your page to index it, and thus the results are not useful. In order to not
count these robots, the individual user has to identify and manually block
counting of every robot IP address. This doesn't seem to be a problem with
tiny.cc counters.

[tw5] TW5: Is there a way to count how many times a tiddler has been read?

2019-12-28 Thread Chuck R.
My setup: TW5.1.19 on Tiddlyspot.com

I am curious if there is a way to count the number of times a person opens
or reads a tiddler online. I'm wondering which tiddlers in a given file
would be more popular, like if we could see a list of the 10 most read
tiddlers.

If I made an short url on tiny.cc it would only count the accesses, through
https://tiny.cc, to that one tiddler, but to track "hits" to all tiddlers
would require many short url links on tiny.cc. So this isn't a great
option. This option works but requires a lot more manual work.

Any ideas how one would do this?

transcluded text correctly. Header is formatted like "! Header". So when
"Study utilities" is transcluded into "Study main" the header in "Study
utilities" is not rendered at all. It just appears as wiki text. This is
what I see now in "Study main" for the transcluded text using that macro
for coloring transclusions:

I posted an image but the post was deleted.

Could this be a bug?

How am I supposed to show what is happening if I can't post an image?

Now when I use my transcludecolor macro the header in the source tiddler
(that is being transcluded) is not rendering the header properly. See
screen shot. So the tiddler "Study utilities" is to be transcluded into
"Studies main".

Hmm, it does not seem to be working. The transcluded tiddler doesn't appear
at all now, in the other tiddler that contains it. I just enter my \define
into a normal tiddler and it's a global macro right? This is what I entered
in a new tiddler:
\define colortransclude(tiddler)
@@background-color:gray;{{$tiddler$}}@@
\end

My tiddler to transclude has a space in the name so I did the transclude
like this:

[tw5] TW5: auto color background of transcluded text

2019-12-23 Thread Chuck R.
My system: TW5.1.19 on tiddlyspot.com, I use the latest Chrome version to
get to the wiki

When I transclude text I'd like to make the background color different. But
I don't want to use this every time:
@@background-color:yellow;
{{tiddler1}}
@@

because that's a manual process. I'd like a visual indicator of transcluded
text so I don't have to go into edit mode of a tiddler to see what is
transcluded and what is not.

I have looked around in the TW5 help and I only saw reference to the inline
CSS style above.

Let's say I have "tiddler1" which will be transcluded into "tiddler2". So
in "tiddler2" I would write:
{{tiddler1}}

Is there a CSS class I can use to automatically color all transcluded text
without having to manually style every time I do a transclusion? Or is
there another way to do this?

If we don't have a CSS class for transcluded text can we get one in a
future release?

Thank you!

[tw5] TW5 request: autosave every N minutes

2019-12-20 Thread Chuck R.
My setup: TW5.1.19 on tiddlyspot.com using Firefox v71

Just a handy idea I had for the future of TW5.

I see that TW has an autosave function and it autosaves every time you
finish editing a tiddler. But as my TW gets bigger it takes longer and
longer to save the file to a website (tiddlyspot.com), so I don't want to
save every time I close a tiddler, I want to save every N minutes, where
the user enters N. A value of 0 would be "no autosave every N minutes". Or
they could enter minutes from 1-999. The save settings are "choose one"
like a radio button and could become:
o No autosave
o Autosave on saving tiddler
o Autosave every __ minutes

This would require TW5 to do some time calculations to see how much time
has passed, as well as accounting for the "midnight problem" where I last
save a tiddler on 2019-12-19 11:59pm and then if it's set to save every 10
minutes, it would save (only if changes were made) at 2019-12-20 12:09am.

Thanks for considering this!

[tw5] TW5: Global setting to limit height of a tiddler when viewing it?

2019-12-20 Thread Chuck R.
I see there is a button on a tiddler (shown in edit mode) to limit the
height of the tiddler in edit mode. That's not what I want. I want to limit
the max height of all tiddlers when viewing them and use a global variable
to do so. Using CSS would be fine also but I don't know what class to
override in my Stylesheet.

I could also put in every tiddler an ,
but that's not a global, automatic solution.

I looked through TW5.1.21 help and the appearance settings and didn't find
a global setting to limit the height of all tiddlers yet. Is there such a
setting?

Thank you.

[tw5] Re: TW5.1.19: Can I copy the contents of a whole web page into a tiddler?

2019-12-20 Thread Chuck R.
Ok I just did a View Source in the browser, and copied all the HTML in to a
new tiddler and saved it. It was enormously tall. So to make it less tall I
put it in an
but when I saved the tiddler I got a blank screen an no scroll bars. In
edit mode all the HTML is there.

So now I removed the and elements from the tiddler, along
with any tags, saved it, and still there is nothing when I save the
tiddler, and no scroll bars.

Since I'm not familiar with that much I'm not sure what is going
wrong. And there should not be any limit to data in a tiddler. By checking
Tools, Page info I see the html page is 22.9KB.

The HTML starts with a followed by a table. If the
table has specified fit widths and it's too wide for the tiddler would that
cause all the content to be hidden when I save the tiddler?

I made my TW browser window max size and made the sidebar hidden to
maximize the width I could show and still the content is invisible. I might
end up having to remove the content from the table elements, I think the
content is just 2 columns with a blank column on the left and text in the
right column.

Hmmm.

[tw5] Re: TW5: Can we have the pallet setting include theme tweaks settings?

2019-12-20 Thread Chuck R.
Yes a more general, bundle solution would be fine. I just didn't want to
ask for too much, so I asked for a little. This is just an idea for the
future. In the future a bundle could include the theme, any theme tweaks,
and anything else related to appearance.

I prefer not to have the sidebar disappear too soon as I use a more narrow
browser width, and I prefer the sidebar on the right side even with a more
narrow browser width. The reason for this is I have multiple browser
windows (not just browser tabs) open as I copy and paste data into TW.

The reason I asked for this is I was having trouble adding a new button to
the page control bar and I thought it might be because I set the sidebar to
be too narrow. But I don't think that is the case now but for debugging it
would be easier to switch back and forth between theme tweaks (which define
the width of various main elements on the page like sidebar and story river
and twiddlers) for debugging.

Thanks!

[tw5] TW5: How do I show the value of a field of a tiddler?

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
My system: TW5.1.19 on tiddlyspot.com

I made a normal tiddler with TW5 markup. I added a field named "myfield". I
added a value for that field of "My field value goes here". Then I tried
many ways to show the value of the field like this:

Show value of field called 'myfield': [!!myfield] 2 testwiki!!myfield 3 <> 4 <"!!myfield"> 5 !!myfield

I closed and saved the tiddler. None of them worked but <> shows
a blank.

Any ideas how to show the value of this tiddler field? I looked up in help
and it didn't show any exact examples but it did say to use "!!myfield" and
that didn't work either.

Thank you for all your help. :)

Below is a screenshot of the tiddler that defines the button and the page

I even made the image the same in the data field and in the tiddler to
define the button, and that doesn't work either. I cannot change the color
of the dash either.

[tw5] TW5.1.19: Can I copy the contents of a whole web page into a tiddler?

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
My system: TW5.1.19, using TW5 markup, TW is on tiddlyspot.com

This issue is not a big deal but I was curious if I could save a single web
page as HTML as a tiddler, like via drag and drop, so it would show me the
contents of that page in TW as it was when I dragged it there.

Or even as an alternate, a tiddler would load a single webpage into the
tiddler and show it as it is right now, a live copy if you will, which
would requite an internet connection.

One of my applications is to hold the whole study page in the tiddler, like
a static mirror of that page.

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I'm exploring TW and finding all
kinds of possibilities! This is too much fun. :)

[tw5] Re: Ipfs with TiddlyWiki v0.2.9 is available

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
When I try to reach bluelightav.eth I get an error "Could not find IP
address". It might be blocked by my DNS server or something at work. My
work seems to use a third party DNS blocker of some kind.

[tw5] Re: TW5: How to create another ADD tiddler button with predefined content?

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
Ok the action is working but the button is still showing up in the page
control area on the sidebar as a gray dash. Here's my code in the
"AddStudyButton" tiddler.

<$button class="studybutton">
   <$list filter="[match[yes]]">
@@fill:orange; {{$:/core/images/new-button}}@@

   <$list filter="[match[yes]]">
  <$text text="New Study"/>

   <$action-sendmessage $message="tm-new-tiddler" tags="study"
text={{AddStudyTemplate}}/>

Note that I took out the class from button of "tc-btn-invisible" because a
space would appear in the page controls where the button was supposed to
be.

I replaced "tc-btn-invisible" with the class "studybutton" which is in my
TW global "Stylesheet".
.studybutton { color:orange; }

I don't understand why the button is rendering as a gray dash when my new
button image is the old $:core/images/new-button.

I can change the icon for my Add Study button by changing the spiral image
in this line right?
 <$list filter="[match[yes]]">
  {{$:/core/images/spiral}}

For the Add Study icon I plan to clone the add button and just color the
fill to orange to make it simple. I still have to figure out how to change
the color still.

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
Thanks Eric. Now I can see how all the parts link together and understand
how it all works.

I did get the new spiral button on the page control bar but it also has a
"" on the page control bar. My first thought is a mismatched or
extra "" but I don't see one. Any ideas what is going on? I simply
copied and pasted your code from this group into the tiddler.

2 changes I made:

But button tiddler title is actually "AddStudyButton" and I made this
change to rename the AddStudyTemplate:
   <$action-sendmessage $message="tm-new-tiddler" tags="study"
text={{AddStudyTemplate}}/>

[tw5] Re: The-book weekly report

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
Some feedback:

I made a tiddler with 3 tasks as a todo list. Then marked one task as
checked, saved the tiddler, closed the tiddler, and reopened it. My
checkmark was now gone. Can you add a sentence in chapter 9.2 that notes
checkmarks are not saved in the tiddler?

[tw5] Re: Looking for an example family tree

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
Neat. Are you actually going to use this for a family tree? You could make
a tiddler for each person use each tiddler's fields for data on one person
like: birth date, birth place, death date, death place, spouse name, etc.

[tw5] TW5: How to create another ADD tiddler button with predefined content?

2019-12-19 Thread Chuck R.
My system: TW5.1.19 stored on tiddyspot.com, using Chrome to access it,
using TW markup

On the right side of my TW there are default buttons like "+" which adds a
new tiddler. How do I add another ADD button which has predefined content
and tags? I'm adding one study per new tiddler and I'd like each study
tiddler to have a tag of "study" but also have this content as a template:

Source:

! Findings

! Abstract

I'm new to this type of changes to TW so if you could explain each steps,
where each data goes, and speak slowly, I think I will get it. :)

1. Which tiddler holds all the buttons at the top of the right hand panel?
What is this panel called?

Thank you!

[tw5] TIP TW5: How to hide text

2019-12-18 Thread Chuck R.
Basic info: TW5 using TW markup.

Sometimes I want to hide text in a tiddler that only I see while in edit
mode. I have found that this works great:

This is hidden text.

This also works great for hiding text in an EPUB file, which becomes XHTML.
For example, sometimes when I convert a PDF to epub I want to hide the PDF
page number inside the text without the reader seeing it.
