Tones is spot on with simply renaming the empty.html to empty.aspx

It just works, years on, Office 365 OneDrive complete with version history
and tw encryption. Kind of magical!

Best,

great thanks for clearing all that up! I now have a much better idea of
the ideas behind bundling. TBH I generally always need to go back to first
principles to pick something up, so in order to understand the above I
found it very helpful to go back to here:

https://groups.google.com/g/tiddlywiki/c/WzwNpnxycDQ

(which I found via a link in the original discussion I first found about
your bundler here:

In that conversation we get introduced to some primordial topics like what
is common between a plugin and a bundle, the importance of filtering to a
bundle and so on - so up-front discussion of some of what you've been
trying to explain to me above. As and when I get to the stage of using your
bundler plugin to sync my settings (a fantastic idea!), I'd be happy to do
some work to collect/collate various salient parts of these discussions
somewhere by way of documenation, as it seems to me there's quite some
background required here

thanks for taking the time

Re: [tw5] Re: Keep Wikis settings and plugins in sync

2021-03-26 Thread Tony Woode
Thanks for the response!

Yes that really helps - I had indeed missed the overridden and system
tiddlers advanced search, and the haschanged filter will prove very
helpful, so thanks for taking the time

> Since it's tedious to redefine those lists all the time by hand

I'd already looked at and watched your video for your very impressive
bundler plugin, but I think I'm stuck at first principles again: I've
proved to myself that if I have a (standard) tiddler that lists other
(standard) tiddlers, and I drag that between TiddlyWikis, its a shallow
copy so doesn't copy the referenced tiddlers (though this must be different
for plugin tiddlers since dragging a single tiddler does precicely this,
that's precicely a factor that defines these as 'plugins'). So that's what
I understand the principle of your bundler is: it essentially creates a
deep clone of the children when supplied with a
tiddler-consisting-of-links, am I close?

So, I would understand the process of using your bundler to capture
settings like so: i'd use the output of the overridden/system
advanced-search-filter tiddlers that you mentioned to manually create a
tiddler-of-links based on them, and then use that tiddler as the input to
the bundler, to deep-clone them to a bundle for import. But from watching
your video I don't seem to have that process quite right: your plugin seems
more than that because, as you say, it seems to facilitate making a custom
filter to automatically remove the temp and other tiddlers you mention
above from the search results each time its run - to whit: the input that
drives your bundler is not a tiddler-of-link, but is instead a filter
expression. Am I right? But since some of these tiddlers-to-filter-out seem
to just need fully-specifying, I imagine the filter expression gets quite
long, Maybe I've misunderstood, I will investigate further.

I had actually seen the diff functionality on import, what I wanted at the
time though was a retrospective way to find the difference between 2 wikis
that had been seperately created over a long period of time. I haven't
investigated the structure of a tiddlywiki file but i'm sure it would be
possible to write an external tool to inspect each tiddler object for
comparison given an html, or I guess I could have exported an html-style
wiki into the node-style .tid format and just used a file diffing
tool...too late now ;-)

thanks again

Re: [tw5] [INTRO] List of similar and related tiddlers

2021-03-23 Thread tony
Thank you very much, bimlas

I too concur with Mohammad, very clever and handy! :-)

Your solution was tested on wikis between 800 - 4K tiddlers and saw no
performance degradation from viewing the extra tiddlers.

Oft times I drag in a lot of content to 'bookmark' in TiddlyWiki but accrue
semantic debt when I lag in tagging at import time.

Between tagging, other methods like Tobias Beer's Sidebar Stories
<https://tobibeer.github.io/tb5/#Saving%20And%20Loading%20A%20History%20Snapshot>

and now your useful template, this really helps make/find meaning in
TiddlyWiki without manual metadata intervention.

Best,
tony

Use what you will and discard the rest (below); i lost my detailed reply :-(

When things get fast and chaotic, i find *simple* is best for my brain.

My tiddlers are close to Randy Pausch's <https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/>
timelog: line based log with datestamps and keywords/tags that i access via
search or filters and lifecycle through Joe Armstrong's
<https://joearms.github.io/#Index> Chandler

if TW ever fades, i can still parse the lines for a meaningful archive

i use these and they have been proven helpful:

   - Joe Armstrong's Chandler implementation for action tiddlers
   https://joearms.github.io/#Chandler
   - insert <> into any project or
   'student tiddler'
   - date stamp every line with Riz's timestamp toolbar snippet
   https://groups.google.com/g/tiddlywiki/c/UHt6GsMpyAQ/m/USFJxw68AQAJ
   - <> to collect
   tiddlers from March 2021
   - <> to collect
   tiddlers about Student MaryDoe

Have fun!

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: Recomendations for editing and saving TiddlyWiki

2021-01-12 Thread tony
FWIW

I still enjoy this easy-to-use solution from UBi that just requires
python3. It works on Debian via Chromebook and Windows via cygwin and
probably wsl2 [1]

one single python file and it serves a whole folder of wikis accessed at
localhost

a simple script start to server:

$cat startserver.sh
cd ~/
python3 twserver.py
# Ctrl-c to stop the server

As usual, wiki files can be synced with cloud: OneDrive, GoogleDrive,
Syncthing, Autosync, rsync, etc, etc

For my wiki archive, I use TiddlyWiki on nodeJs on a different port as I
like that each tiddler is a single plain text file accessible on the
terminal if needed.

Have fun! :-)

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: Two Factory Authentication (2FA) support

2021-01-01 Thread tony
Hi,

If your security key supports a static password, then this may be a viable
solution with default encryption <https://tiddlywiki.com/#Encryption> -

Not exactly multi-factor authentication, but it achieves the same
convenience with a physical token.

For example, my Yubikey supports two slots for configuration: a One-Time
Password (OTP <https://developers.yubico.com/OTP/OTPs_Explained.html>) and
a static password

I just set the password for the TiddyWiki to the static password on my key.

When prompted, I insert the Yubikey and just press, Voila!

In reality, the key is perma inserted and I just reach over and touch.

Best,
tony

Re: [tw5] Re: TiddlyWiki Project Name

2020-12-30 Thread tony
Yet another kibble...

I like that TiddlyWiki has user choice configuration in
$:/language/DefaultNewTiddlerTitle renaming to new
dot/tip/card/memex/

Thankfully, there is little cognitive effort to understand that my new pet
name for wiki entries is just a tiddler in TiddlyWiki.

TiddlyWiki and tiddler are unique names, 16 years and running. Gosh,
tiddler is even famous enough to be in the popular
Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TiddlyWiki#Tiddlers

I like what Charlie said here: "To me, I wouldn't try convincing folk of
using "TiddlyWiki" as a solution to a problem. TiddlyWiki is the platform
with which I would build the solution. The name I then give to the
solution is what I use. The name is different for every solution."

Why change now? Even kids wanna fork vim use vim in the NeoVim name? What's
a vim? git? emacs? grep? ed? awk? I think Users gonna Use regardless, or
git out. [1]

That said, if tiddlers were renamed kibbles, I'd still use KibblyWiki, no
problems

Best,
tony

[1] Over the years we've had consistent feedback on the name "TiddlyWiki"
that ranges between:

* I don't care about the name, it's just a meaningless string of letters
* I think the name is fine, it's distinctive, and has few false positives
when Googling

[tw5] Re: Announcing the release of TiddlyWiki v5.1.23

2020-12-24 Thread tony
Thank you very much Jeremy and all of the contributors for continuing to
develop this wonderful tool/community.

The upgrade to v5.123 was smooth sailing.

I'm largely ignorant of most of the inner workings and have barely
scratched the depths of Tiddlywiki's algebra and yet TiddlyWiki is still so
simple to use to collect thoughts, ideas, life into a web notebook.

For the longest time I've been inserting <$list
filter="[all[current]backlinks[]]"/> for backlinks
only to realize after all these years References *were* Backlinks hidden in
the Info Panel; so much for RTFM!

So, however small, this usability improvement is welcome semantic sanity:

   - renamed <https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/pull/5143> "references"
to "backlinks" in the tiddler info panel

And with the setting for the Tiddler info panel to stay open, a boon to
utility.

Thank you again and happy holidays!

Peace to all,
tony

[tw5] Re: WikiWords vs Double Brackets

2020-11-20 Thread tony
i am a fan of the c2WikiConvention (<-- note the HungarianNotation mistake!
or dialect?) of CamelCase and it has stuck over the years. i think of
WikiEntries as kind of a SubjectToken, a unique semantic entity and it is
easy to create and search with other tools like autocomplete in vim and
ripgrep. Prefixing the WikiEntry with AnotherWikiEntry serves as a
NameSpace; a compounding that reminds me of German or Urls. My TiddlyWiki
has TiddlywikiStuff and i have no problem with not CamelCasing the NextWord
when compounded as my searches are often CaseInsensitive. i agree with the
issues of NamingConventions and PunctuationAsProblem when CamelCasing but
since my wiki is personal, the WikiLanguage stays subjective and unique.
This is important to my setup as the TiddlywikiNodeJs TidFiles are housed
in a VimWiki where the VimDictionary built from WikiEntries serves as an
index to afford global autocompletion much like TiddlyWiki CtrlL
CreateWikitextLink; PureLazyConvenience! WikiLanguage, a fun, jumbled mess.

Best,
tony

[tw5] Keep Wikis settings and plugins in sync

2020-10-22 Thread Tony Woode

Hi all, much respect and adoration etc

My use of TiddlyWiki is via TiddlyDesktop for personal (non-shared)
information only. I used to have only one wiki which I sectioned off into
different topics, but I have found reasons over time to split these wikis
up, so I now have 4 separate wikis (They aren't all located in a common
folder, but all 4 are accessible at the same time from a single machine)

Every so often, I take a look at new plugins or tweak my settings in one of
these wikis, and I find amazing and helpful things that become part of the
wiki

You can see where this is going...right: the new plugins and features I use
are meant to be globally-evolutionary across all of my 4 wikis, two
examples are: that I started using the codemirror Vim keymap, or that I
tweaked my theme sizes to be all % based rather than absolute.

My 4 wikis should all be essentially the 'same' in terms of settings, the
only things that aren't 'data' ie: content tiddlers, that should be
different between them is things like the wiki name, or the favicon logo
i've set for the wiki that I can see in tiddly desktop

Socan anyone see a process I could use to keep my settings and plugins
'synced' between these 4 near-identically-configured wikis? I guess, as
with any sync operation, there may be instances where both sides have
changed (or at least it isn't clear whether a change on one side is
evolutionary), so some crude visual 'diff' to see what i'm going to update
would be beneficial (although that isn't crucial I guess, the process could
just overwrite - its usually just one of these 4 that get's upgraded and I
want to make the other 3 mirror its settings, but because I haven't had a
good way to 'sync' settings i'm sure i've ended up in a mess where some
newer settings/plugins now exist across all 4 wikis)

thanks enourmously for everything in advance

[tw5] Re: Cross-link multiple wikis

2020-09-13 Thread tony
>any "elegant" solution how to create links between tiddlers in different
wikis.

tl;dr so far ... LocalSearchEngine
<https://groups.google.com/g/tiddlywiki/c/qBZa9XP5c4I/m/9LMAu-5UBQAJ> +
iframe internal wiki(s) + dragging permalinks (or right click copy link
address)

I've been ruminating over the same thing as performance has been degrading
as my main wiki gets bloated in tiddler quantity (~3.5K count)

My issue is overloading with all tiddlers in one wiki; in my case: planning
scheduling tiddlers (stuff i do) with note tiddlers (stuff i reference) +
playing plugins

FWIW My even more lazy inelegant dirtier solution :-)

I've been using Duarte's Local Search Engine
<https://groups.google.com/g/tiddlywiki/c/qBZa9XP5c4I/m/9LMAu-5UBQAJ> (LSE)
method + InnerWiki + dragging permalinks
<https://tiddlywiki.com/#PermaLinks> between wikis

   - Under chrome://settings/searchEngines my LSE is searchengine:
   wikiserver; keyword: wiki; url:
   http://localhost:8080/myfolder/wiki.html#:[!is[system]search[%s]]
   - Easy and simple as: Ctrl-l to get address bar focus + wiki + searchterm
   - And/or drag and drop from InnerWiki [1]

The workflow reduced alot of cognitive friction when the wikis are housed
in 1 folder as in TiddlyServer <https://github.com/Arlen22/TiddlyServer>
and LSEs can be assigned per wiki(s). And really has changed the way i
view wiki state with wiki.html as a more temporary pool collection versus a
more permanent document/database/wiki/thing
I look forward to more simple and creative solutions from others! But for
me, the hard part is semantic chunking of wikis which is not a technical
issue :-\

Best,
tony

[1] Host your inner wiki (latest toy)

[tw5] Re: How many of you use core TiddlyWIki?

2020-09-11 Thread tony
>... I'm just not sure where to invest my time.

I use core as well with minimal set-up - no fields, limited plugins to
future-proof parsing down the road to another system if browser dependency
someday breaks.

But there are so many cool things that it is hard not to try/play :-) and
if you think of TiddlyWiki as a document as well as a database, quine, SPA
et al, you can have as many different forms you want: a template wiki,
playground testing wiki, project wiki, subject matter wikipedia-type wiki,
wikiwiki, etc The import/export is mature and versatile to port amongst and
beyond.

If I want to try something new, i template empty.html by tagging nifty
imported stuff that works well with a tag like TwAddOn. That way I can
export - import to a new iteration as needed. Even though i also use
another wiki, TiddlyWiki is so fast for prototyping and the learning
curve/self-contained interoperability is waay lower than setting up LAMP
and trying to send that by email to a friend :-) Well worth the time to
play with.

The nice thing is TiddlyWiki has stood the test of time and remains fresh
with great helpful experts/enthusiasts/community and surprisingly
refreshingly progressive upgrades/updates from Jeremy et al.

Have fun,
another tony

[tw5] Re: How to open all AdvancedSearch search results to StoryList instead of exporting?

2020-09-11 Thread tony
Wow, wow excellent, Tony (TW Tones) !

Thank you very much, more than I asked for!

There is much to unpack and learn here, good fun.

I like the fact that your magic button does not overwrite the current
StoryList and appends to it instead. Since opening a big StoryList
negatively impacts performance which i found depends on memory, your limit
to the filter tab makes sense and the user can modify the filter to
constrain the number of matches.

I also love that your metadata reference fields carry the provenance of the
inquiry and other details for easy future traceback. I often wonder, "where
did this nifty macro i-dragged-into-x-years-ago came from?" This
namespacing and best practice of field list style convention is something
I'll have to start following to help find things and clean my messy wiki :-)

Thank you again for the solution and help :-)

Best,
another fellow tony

[tw5] How to open all AdvancedSearch search results to StoryList instead of exporting?

2020-09-10 Thread tony
Hi

Does anyone know a way to open all the search matches from
$:/AdvancedSearch or save them as a list in a separate tiddler?

I was trying to evangelize Tiddlywiki and ran into a roadblock when they
asked if there was a way to open all the results from AdvancedSearch
instead of clicking them one by one to open in the StoryList. That seemed
surprisingly straightforward since there is an Close All button, but I
could figure out how to Open All.

I thought there was a plugin or macro that had an Open All from the
Exporter menu which opened all the titles instead of exporting but maybe
that was in TiddlyWiki Classic and I cannot recollect or find so in
TiddlyWiki 5.

Luckily Tobias Beer's SidebarStories [1] was somewhat a workaround to load
a story and
setTo={{$:/StoryList!!list}}

And I also showed Duarte's Local Search engine to great effect and the
search filter results open the tiddlers in the StoryList directly.[2]

But I cannot figure out where the search results are stored ?
[!is[system]search{$(searchTiddler)$}]

or how to push them to the StoryList?

Any leads much obliged

Thank you,

tony

[tw5] Re: How can I activate the vim mode using the CodeMirror plugin with Tiddlywiki?

2020-07-28 Thread tony
Steps, just tested:

   1. Download empty.html from https://tiddlywiki.com/#GettingStarted
   2. Open the $:/ControlPanel tiddler
   3. Click the plugins tab then Get more plugins button
   4. Search for codemirror
   5. Click install button for *CodeMirror*: CodeMirror editor and *CodeMirror
Keymap Vim*: Keymap compatible with Vim for CodeMirror
   6. Save and refresh when prompted by banner dialog
   7. Open the $:/ControlPanel tiddler
   8. Click the Settings then Codemirror tab
   9. Under CodeMirror keymap select vim in the dropdown control
   10. Optional: check Enable line numbers, cuz it looks cool
   11. Save and refresh the wiki
   12. Test by creating a new tiddler and in edit mode, line numbers should
be showing as a visual indicator of success
   13. I use Ctrl-c to return to normal mode

Have fun!

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: Local Search Engine - Passing search parameters from address bar

2020-07-04 Thread tony
Thank you so much for this!!

Leveraging the convenience of the browser address bar saves steps of having
to go through UI in Advanced Search

Your method works with node.js as you explain so clearly! Keyword +
 expands to

http://localhost:8080/myfolder/mywiki.html#:[!is[system]search[]]
<http://localhost:8080/myfolder/mywiki.html#:[!is[system]search[platinum]]>

which opens up mywiki.html with search results in the story river :-) Wow!

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: Microsoft Teams and Tiddlywiki

2020-06-26 Thread tony
I think the TiddlyWiki should work like any other document.

Changing the extension from wiki.html to wiki.aspx used to work on
Sharepoint, but I haven't done that in a while.

A Teams channel should be able to store this in the Files tab of the
General channel which is just window dressing for the underlying sharepoint.

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: Is it possible to divide this Google group into subgroups?

2020-06-08 Thread tony
FYI Google Groups has star feature where users click a star next to the
post of interest and the Starred listing is captured in the left nav under
Starred <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!starred>
 https://groups.google.com/forum/#!starred

I use it all the time to capture threads or posts of interest particularly
code snippets to later slurp that formally in TiddlyWiki.

It is really not very difficult to do.

Best,
tony

[tw5] Re: [Plugin] Daily Notes - Interstitial Journaling plugin TiddilyWiki

2020-06-05 Thread Tony K
Thank you Tim

that's really weird I don't have this behavior on any of my installations
(3 of them)

the dates are parsed from the UTC timestamp so, my best guess at the
moment, that it is related to the time zone ???

any chance you can attach a cleansed copy of your TW file so i can take a
closer look ?

[tw5] How to build a "dynamic" list ?

2020-06-05 Thread Tony K
I am running a nested filter and looking to get a list of all the results
(sorry TonyM I am really trying to explain)

filter 1 gets all tiddlers with a specific tag[DailyNotes]
<$list filter="[tag[DailyNotes]]" >

filter 2 will go over all these results and looking for a specific text
pattern
<$list filter="[get[text]regexp[$pattern$\b(?i)]

what I am looking to do is having one list in a variable with all the
results of the second filter

ActionListopsWidget would do it but it is an action and requires a trigger
which I do not have in my case

is there a way to do that ?

thanks

Hello John

thank you for the kind words

I am not sure I understood quite well what you mean, I would appreciate if
you could share a screenshot

this being said (and I am not sure if that what you mean) I did change the
name of the tiddler in this version to accomodate for custom date formats

the tiddler itself will have the format 0MM0DD however the displayed
format on the main tiddler (called but alt+q) will show in the format you
want

I hope it helps

Hi Tim

Thanks for your kind words

Nothing to worry about

1. Temp tiddlers are deleted every refresh
2. You won't accumulate, they are the same tiddlers overwritten. Meaning it
won't create one per every time you use or so

Glad you like it

Thanks for the reply

let me make sure I understood correctly

today you already can add #ProjectX before and entry right ? so you would
want to get a way to list (for example) all entries for #projectA ?? did i
get it right?

for todo I started added todo on the previous version and just enhanced it
in this one. give /todo a test and tell me how it goes

Cheers

[tw5] Re: [Plugin] TWCrossLinks

2020-06-04 Thread Tony K
Hi Stephan

I think what you are referring to are "Freelinks"

TWCrossLinks handles Freelinks from the "Receiving" side so if you go to
the tiddler called "example" it will show all other tiddlers that has
"example" even if it is not [[Example]]

what I think you are asking for is to actually change example to
[[example]] in the source tiddler? this is a popular request but I didn't
get to work on it yet but it is on the todo list

2020-05-26 Thread Tony K
I am looking into adding some links to files I have on my disks in TW5 for
easy search and access

I did use the external link command / format but when I click on the file
it is not running it

is there a workaround around it?

merci

[tw5] [Question] enlist multiple variables?

2020-05-22 Thread Tony K
Building on my knowledge

I am trying to create a list of 2 variables or, in other terms, adding
elements to a list

<$set value="one" name=one >
<$set value="two" name=two >

<$list filter="[enlist]" variable=xss >
<>

I promise no more questions from me for the next 6hrs :)

thanks

[tw5] how not to run same filter twice ??

2020-05-22 Thread Tony K
A follow up question to the one I just asked also about filters

I have this filter

[regexp:title] [regexp:text] -[all[current]backlinks[]] -[
is[current]] -[tag[hide]] -[is[system]]

until now I am running it 3 times

1. to set a variable true/false

isFreelink = {{{ [regexp:title] [regexp:text] -[
all[current]backlinks[]] -[is[current]] -[tag[hide]] -[is[system]] +[then[
true]else[false]] }}}

2. as a counter

<$count filter= [regexp:title] [regexp:text]
-[all[current]backlinks[]] -[is[current]] -[tag[hide]] -[is[system]]

3. to get the actual list

<$list filter=[regexp:title] [regexp:text]
-[all[current]backlinks[]] -[is[current]] -[tag[hide]] -[is[system]]

is there a way to run it only once and then evaluate the other 2 from the
list already saved?

thank you

[tw5] Please help with a "complex" then else filter

2020-05-22 Thread Tony K

i have this filter

   [regexp:title] [regexp:text] -[all[current]
backlinks[]] -[is[current]] -[tag[hide]] -[is[system]]

and it is working fine, however if I want to make it a "true"/ "false"
variable

<$varsisFreelink = {{{ [regexp:title] [regexp:text]
-[all[current]backlinks[]] -[is[current]] -[tag[hide]]
-[is[system]]then[true]else[false] }}} >

it is giving me a syntax error

Is this multi - parts filter supported with the if then else?

thank you

it shouldn't be hard but I prefer not to hack his code as it makes updates

this works and displays the time stamp is the required format i.e 2020-05-21

however what I need is to transclude the tiddler with title 2020-05-21 and
that i can't achieve

[tw5] Re: Date format without $view ?

2020-05-20 Thread Tony K
Hello Tony

Thanks a lot for replying, and I would be highly interested to learn how to
do it in wikitext and widgets

I tried to explain what I am trying to do in my OP but I will try again.
Issue is it sounds so clear in my head that I am getting troubles
explaining it.

Below are 2 entries in the same tiddler of my DailyNotes plugin. The first
one has the old timestamp (only hours) the second one new timestamp

22:34~Entry with old time stamp

20200520223405903~Entry with new time stamp

what I am trying to do is a function setting a variable called timestamp to
22:34 no matter if I feed it with 22:34 or 20200520223405903

thanks again

[tw5] Date format without $view ?

2020-05-20 Thread Tony K
is it possible to manipulate a timestamp without the $view?

I have timestamp saved in 2 formats

old format 0hh:0mm and new format <>

I am trying to make my code backward compatible so what I need is when I
read the time stamp from the tiddler and display it in both cases as
0hh:0mm

I tried to work with length

\define long()
<$view tiddler=<> field=title format=date template="0hh:0mm" />
\end

<$list filter="""[length[]match[9]thenelse]"""
variable="type"/>

but in that case it is being evaluated to the full text and not the value :|

[tw5] Set value of a variable conditionally

2020-05-20 Thread Tony K
I can't figure out how to set the value of a variable based on a specific
condition so, instead, I am writing the code twice

e.g.

<$list filter="[length[]match[9]]">
<$set name="type" value="short">
{full code here}

<$list filter="[length[]!match[9]]">
<$set name="type" value="long">
{full code here}

this is not really efficient.

I tried conditionally inserting the first line of the "$set" but it didnt'
work (as follows) even thought logically it should

<$list filter="[length[]match[9]]">
<$set name="type" value="short">

<$list filter="[length[]!match[9]]">
<$set name="type" value="long">

{full code here}

I am sure there is some kind of a workaround for this

thanks for shedding any light

2020-05-18 Thread Tony K
I came to TW from roam.

after using Roam for a few weeks I loved it but I was really worried about
the announced priced tag and found TW looking for alternatives.

First I started with TiddlyBlink then put Drift together and never looked
back

So far not missing any features in roam (maybe the map a bit)

[tw5] Re: [Tutorial] running your own Node.js TW5 on Microsoft Azure for Free

2020-05-18 Thread Tony K
Hello Riz

thank you for the heads up, I do not have an account, this said I will try
to answer the questions here

   1. Yes I am assuming that someone is already using TW5 with Node.js
locally but if not, as already mentioned, you can only create your own
TiddlyWiki.info file and an empty tiddlers directory. Attached a copy of a
   brand new tiddlywiki.info file
   2. For the different "flavor" you dont' need to "install" it. Start with
a brand new installation and then drag/drop Stroll / Drift or whatever you
want on top of it, import refresh and you are good to go
   3. For the last question regarding the username and password, if it is
asking for a username and password then it means that TW5 is up and
running, what I would suggest at this point is to remove the username and
password and test if it works fine then probably there is something wrong
with either of the 2. (maybe some special character in a special language?)

I really hope this helps
