[Touch-packages] [Bug 1725840] Re: resolvconf not correctly configured after update from 17.04 to 17.10
In my case it works well with WiFi network, But the Ethernet network is having the issue. In same port other machine works, but not mine. As it seems, the file /etc/resolv.conf was static and contained wrong data assigned by the NetworkManager. When I changed the file content manually to nameserver 127.0.0.53 DNS lookup worked fine. After reboot, however, I had to repeat this operation since NetworkManager seems to have replaced the file content. Finally, I found a solution. Running sudo dpkg-reconfigure resolvconf the file /etc/resolv.conf was replaced by the link /etc/resolv.conf -> ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf Now, the wireless network seems to work properly. Hence, there must be some kind of bug during the update process from Ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10 that impedes resolvconf to be configured properly. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1589703] Re: Alarm clock icon doesn't disappear (appears randomly) when alarm inactive
I'm experiencing the alarm cock icon appearing at midnight for last two weeks without a miss! Here's my setup: - I have 4 alarms in the alarm list. - I activate one/two alarm(s) for the morning (no fixed time, I modify according to my need everyday). I don't activate at the previous night, I do on the same day (after 01:00). - I cancel the active alarm(s) in the morning after they go off. Some days I hit snooze 2-3 times. - Repeat on the next day! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to indicator-datetime in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589703 Title: Alarm clock icon doesn't disappear (appears randomly) when alarm inactive Status in Canonical System Image: Confirmed Status in Ubuntu Clock App: New Status in indicator-datetime package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: As in description. It is confusing for the weather, sunrise and sunset information as it is not clear what location that is for. It came to my attention as I'm on corporate VPN and Today-Scope is proving information based on IP address, which for me, is thousands of kilometers away. My Aquaris M10 tablet is also inside so is not picking up GPS signal. When I enable GPS only, Today-Scope still defaults back to IP address location data. Appears that there is no way to manually set location and when I set location in The Weather Channel app it defaults back to IP location when I switch back to Today-Scope.
