[Touch-packages] [Bug 1567750] Re: can't navigate between news by sliding

2016-04-08 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
I believe swiping through previews was removed in OTA10 because it was
potentially confusing with full sideways swiping (as used to display
open applications for example). Personally, I think a way to move
between previews without moving back to the surfaced view is an
important feature.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1562121] [NEW] MTP'd photos don't display in my photos after gallery edit

2016-03-25 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

Allan LeSage reports (in [1]) that photos put on the device by MTP do
not display in My Photos after they are rotated in Gallery.

He also reports that photos taken by camera DO display (rotated) after
rotation in Gallery.

And I find photos downloaded through Browser DO display (rotated and/or
croped) after edit in gallery (on a different system).

So the issue may have something to do with MTP origin of the photo.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1384243] Re: photos edited in gallery do not display edited in "My Photos" scope

2016-03-25 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi Allan,

This fix handles photos taken by the camera (then rotated in gallery)
and photos downloaded through the browser(then rotated in gallery), to
name two.

I am guessing this is therefore a different issue, perhaps something to
do with MTP & mediascanner & gallery. Therefore, I think this needs a
new bug and we can release with the current fix.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1546364] Re: Links not detected in scopes

2016-03-24 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
After discussing this with unity-scopes-api folks on irc, and after
getting a bug about the twitter scope showing "" instead of "&", it
seems reasonable to extend this bug to include some known subset of html
entities (in addition to a known set of mark ups).

Therefore I am marking the twitter-scope bug a dup of this one.

  Best example of this is the twitter scope. There are usually links on

  I think it should be automatic or let the developers decide to do it
  or maybe add a new action to open links from the post instead of
  making the link clickable the actual content.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1382139] Re: scope appearance key not being used in agg scope

2016-03-19 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
This bug was marked Invalid but with no explanation :)

However I think it is invalid for the following two reasons:
1) It may be unreasonable to expect PreviewButtonColor to control button color.
2) We don't use this any more for login buttons in an aggregated context: we
use an icon.

  Facebook Photos scope ini has this Appearance setting:
  PreviewButtonColor=#45619d

  A fb photos button uses this color. It's the button that displays when
  the user has not logged into Facebook. It displays in a Result, not in
  a preview. The button allows the user to log in to FB through Online
  Accounts. (see fb.png)

  Photos aggregator scope includes Facbook Photos scope as a child
  scope. When the user has not yet logged into facebook the facebook
  photos category in the Photos scope HAS the button. But, the button
  has no color (neither the button background nor the text), thus making
  it invisible (see invisible.png and invisiblePressed.png).

  I would expect the child scope's settings to be honored so that Photos
  scope displays the button with the Facebook Blue color as defined in
  the child scope.

  Note that different child scopes may need different colored buttons in
  the aggregator scope context.

  At the very least, the button should display in the agg scope's
  default Appearance (and not be invisible).

  Note: even when setting PreviewButtonColor=#45619d in the Photos agg
  scope ini, still, the button is invisible.

  Rotate it. When I return to the scope, fully refreshed, the photo does
  not display rotated.

  Wait for scope to exit and then refresh it: still not rotated.

  Restart unity8-dash: now it displays rotated.

  I would expect dash toolkit to honor the edited state of a photo and
  display it rotated as appropriate.

  Note:
  Gallery app uses a URI that starts with image://thumbnailer/absPathToPhoto to
display photos with correct rotation. However, scopes require the URI starts
with photo://. Without that, the Open button on the preview does not open the
photo in gallery.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1382139] Re: scope appearance key not being used in agg scope

Status in The Savilerow project:

Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Facebook Photos scope ini has this Appearance setting:
  PreviewButtonColor=#45619d

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-25 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Summary: we don't know for sure whether the unity shell crash due to
duplicated results from child scopes is the cause but it seems like the
most likely one at this point.

I have not seen this bug in released code myself.

On ubuntu-phone list, a user reports [1] that unfavoriting the Messages
scope (whose current released version is 1.6 although I do not know for
sure what version the user has) fixes the Today scope issue. However, I
am using Messages scope 1.6 and I do not see the issue. If it is the
duplicate result issue, then it may have nothing to do with Messages,
that is, unfavoriting the Messages scope could have coincided with some
other scope not producing dup results.

Hi Ilonka,

All the Moon phase translations come from here:
https://translations.launchpad.net/day-scope

I checked the German translation and I do not see the string that starts
with "einwachsenden" as shown in your screenshot. Therefore, I think
this translation has been replaced on Launchpad but it has not yet been
replaced in released Day scope, therefore you are seeing an old
translation.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544957] Re: Scrolling is not smooth

2016-02-16 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi, I don't see any exceptions or other problems in the short log
segment attached.

Please note: all tweets are displayed even before the pictures on tweet
are available. As the pictures are obtained from twitter, they are
filled in on the tweets. During this process of filling in the pictures,
the scrolling can seem jerky. But once all the pictures are displayed,
the scrolling is smooth.

Can you please confirm that scrolling is smooth after all the pictures
display?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1544957] Re: Scrolling is not smooth

2016-02-12 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
HI Martin,

Sorry about this and thanks for filing the bug!

I am going to add unity-scopes-shell and unity8 to this bug because
smooth or jerky scrolling is not controlled by the scope itself.

Also, can you please get the following file (right after you see the
problem) and attach it to this bug:

/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/scope-registry.log

Thanks!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-12 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi Danilo, thanks for the persistence and the logs and etc!

So, several times this failure has occurred when tapping on a Unity
icon:

* comment 18:
"- swipe left to right. To access unity
A tap on telegram icon to open it."

* initial description:
"as well, if you touch the Ubuntu logo icon in the Unity view"

I am thinking this means it is not related to the today scope.

I will email some Unity engineers and bring this to their attention.

NOTE: there is a telegram crash file (among others).

Thanks!

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1384243] Re: photos edited in gallery do not display edited in "My Photos" scope

2016-02-11 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
@Michi:

Appending a timestamp param (image://thumbnailer/PATH) to
every photo's art uri accomplishes the goal: on refresh edited photos
display edited in surfafed results

I assume this approach does not force the thumbnailer to rethumbnail
every photo every time (even though the URIs are now always new) because
when there has been no edit of the photo the file modification time has
not changed. Please correct me if this assumption is incorrect.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-11 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
HI Danilo,

Awesome! But, if there is a problem, if the freeze happens again, it
would be great if you can provide the scope-registry.log file.

Also, If you can associate a particular scope (or app) with the freeze,
that would be helpful. For example, you could try bringing back the
scopes you removed one-by-one and then seeing if there are freezes. If
so, please comment this bug.

  Font used in the news scope is hard to read

Status in News Scope:
  Triaged
Status in Ubuntu UX:
  New
Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The news scope uses a fixed font. On the MX4, the font appears so small that
it will be hardly readable by some (especially older) people. The font color is
locked to medium gray on a light gray background, which looks sleek, but is a
very bad choice for text. Text, notably in an application meant to convey
information, should use high contrast. Moreover, the font is sans serif. Larger
portions of text, notably newspaper articles, should use serif font ("Times"
being the standard example,its name deriving from the name of the newspaper).
  Please choose a better font (type, size and color) for the news scope.
Alternatively, make it configurable by the user.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1384243] Re: photos rotated in gallery do not display rotated in "My Photos" scope

2016-02-10 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
** Description changed:

  I opened a photo from My Photos scope Preview > Open in the gallery.
- When I return to the scope, fully refreshed, the photo does not display
- rotated.
+ Rotate it. When I return to the scope, fully refreshed, the photo does
+ not display rotated.
+
+ Wait for scope to exit and then refresh it: still not rotated.
+
+ Restart unity8-dash: now it displays rotated.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-02-09 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
So I continue to propose that this is not due to the Today scope.

There are three exceptions in the scope-registry log files, here are
some comments on them.

== 1)  scope-registrylog.3 has:
Location object not found:  "unity::scopes::NotFoundException:
SearchMetadata::location() (name = location)"

This is the normal log result by Day Scope when location data is
disabled. The exception is caught, and the scope responds appropriately.
This log message should be modified to indicate the exception is handled
and it is a normal condition.

== 2&3) scope-registrylog.1 has:

unity::ResourceException:
/build/buildd/net-cpp-1.2.0+15.04.20150415.2/src/core/net/http/impl/curl/request.h@220
 - operator(): Timeout was reached
query complete, status:  error

 ReplyObject::push(VariantMap): unity::InvalidArgumentException:
CategorisedResult::set_category(): Category must not be null
522 [2016-01-29 00:01:19.303367] ERROR: unity-scope-nearby:
ReplyObject::push(): ReplyObject::push(VariantMap):
unity::InvalidArgumentException: CategorisedResult::set_category(): Category
must not be nul

This one is a concern since a result must have a non-null category. But
this in the nearby-scope (or quite possibly one of the child scopes that
give it data), not the today scope. It appears to immediately follow a
network error.

2016-02-09 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi Ilonka.

These strings/translations are provided by day-scope project. This is
the child scope that provides the information about the day at the top
of the Today scope, including sunrise/sunset, moon phase, etc.

You can see the German translation page here:
https://translations.launchpad.net/day-
scope/trunk/+pots/day/de/+translate

Please note that the moon phases in English use words that are really
only about moon phases, like "waxing gibbous" and etc.

Also please note that the English terms being translated DO NOT HAVE A
SPACE in them! That is because they are provided by the web api without
the space :(

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1499879] Re: Moonphase could not be read

2016-02-09 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
This is a difficult bug because the German translation is simply to long
for the available space. Fixing it would seem to require either that
unty8 scope card attributes can wrap (or that the entire Day scope has a
new layout that works with moon phases that are long in translation).
Therefore I am adding unity8 as a bug task to see if that is
possible/reasonable.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1528886] Re: Checking for updates never finishes

2016-02-05 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
HI Lorn, just noting that scopes *generally receive the network
connectivity status as an enum passed to them from the unity-scopes-
shell as metadata. The only thing that scope-aggregator does with the
network status is (depending on the scope config), it displays a "Hey,
no network" type message. Beyond this, responding reasonably to no-
network conditions is up to child scopes.

Not sure it is relevant, but I have found an issue with this enum:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scopes-
api/+bug/1502282/comments/24

* I say "generally" because scopes *can* take additional steps.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1502282] Re: "unknown" connectivity status problematic

2016-02-04 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
It seems there are two issues here:

1) As noted, apparently ActionMetadata passed into PerformAction and
Activate methods is always Unknown

2) Network connectivity status should not be passed into the scope as an
enum because it can become stale and therefore can prevent a scope from
making good decisions based on *current* network status. Consider the
case where a user displays a Preview, puts the phone down, and comes
back an hour later, then clicks a Preview button. The code might want to
do different things if there is network and if there is not.

  metadata provides a scope a network connectivity status enum with three
possible states:

  Sometimes unknown is the current state. This is quite problematic
  because in general a scopes that queries the network (that is, most
  scopes) need to know whether there is network or is not network and
  depending on this either make the network queries or display an error
  message.

  A status of unknown connectivity leaves the scope with no valid option:
  * the scope could assume the network is down and provide the user an error
message. But often the network is not actually down, so this interrupts the
user's flow unnecessarily
  * the scope could assume the network is up, but this is dangerous if it is
not up

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1541631] Re: MX4 today scope inconsistent date and alignment with OTA-9

2016-02-03 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Regarding your other issues:

* User positioning of child scopes (like moving Weather up, or the Date
down) is being worked on by design.

* All the data displayed in the Today scope comes from child scopes.
Speeding them up will help. I've just filed a bug against the Day scope
indicating that it should cache and reuse sunrise and sunset times
instead of querying the net on every refresh: https://bugs.launchpad.net
/day-scope/+bug/1541646 We should identify similar cases to minimize
network calls and use cached data instead.

Bug description:
  Hi I am using an MX4 with OTA-9 update. After updating to OTA-9 the
  Today scope sometimes cuts the day date icon in half and the scope is
  out of alignment with gaps between some sections. Please see screen
  capture attached. This is random and changes when you refresh the
  scope, but does not clear the problem. If I then use settings to
  remove the (untick Day info) , then add it again the problem is
  resolved.

  As a general comment, the Today scope is still very, plus other issues
  such as , slow to update, random results, fixed position for items
  selected so you cant put your high priority items such as news near
  the top. No option to add background picture (as every other OS does
  and all main stream users will expect this)

  As this is the main information scope for the phone I would have
  thought it should be given a lot of attention improving the
  performance etc (refresh is still painfully slow even on a fast
  internet connection). When you loose wifi and have no 3G the Today
  scope can be almost blank when switching the phone out of sleep or
  turning it on. I wonder if you could at least save all the previous
  data from the last wifi connection and show that as I don’t think your
  typical Android or apple user will accept a blank main screen. The
  today scope should also have custom backgrounds, these could then be
  used for all scopes if selected.

  Anyway sorry for going on and thanks for fixing the camera pinch to
  zoom (fine now on the MX4). I know its a thankless task and us users
  don’t help, I wish I could but I more of a hardware man. Just to say
  your all doing a great job and anything you can do to improve the
  Today scope is much appreciated,

  Regards

  Dave H

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1541631] Re: MX4 today scope inconsistent date and alignment with OTA-9

2016-02-03 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi Dave H:

The layout issue your screenshot shows may not be a Today scope issue
but may be a more generic issue in the unity shell so I have added the
project.

** Also affects: unity-scopes-shell (Ubuntu)

Title:
  MX4 today scope inconsistent date and alignment with OTA-9

Status in Today Scope:
  New
Status in unity-scopes-shell package in Ubuntu:
  New

  Regards

  Dave H

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update

2016-01-29 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Hi Danilo - sorry you are having this problem and thanks for reporting
it!

If you can get the following files and attach them to the bug, this will help
debug this issue:
* /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/scope-registry.log
* Any .crash files in /var/crash/

Because this occurs when swiping from one scope to another, I wonder
whether this is a Unity8 problem, so I had added that to this bug.

I have not been able to reproduce this on a BQ 4.5. My today scope is:
com.canonical.scopes.dashboard  4.1.0

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1502282] Re: "unknown" connectivity status problematic

2016-01-28 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
I see different network connectivity state reported from Search() and
from these: Activate(), Preview() and PerformAction().

I've written a simple golang scope [1] that shows the differences.

The scope has one result with SetInterceptAction(), so it goes to
Activate, then it goes to Preview() where there is one button that runs
PerformAction().

In each method I show the connection state as returned from the metadata
passed into search AND that passed into the current method.

Here is the (commented) scope-registry.log: (value of 0 is unknown, 1 is
connected, 2 is disconnected)

#WITH NETWORK

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1502282] Re: "unknown" connectivity status problematic

2016-01-26 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Problem: metadata.InternetConnectivity() is always returning 0 (for
Unknown), where: metadata is the pointer passed into Activate().

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~unity-team/go-
unityscopes/v2/view/head:/metadata.go#L47

Don't know if this is a golang binding, c++ scope framework, unity8,
network stack, or local coding issue.

But the local code is simple:

func (tt *dbScope) Activate(result *scopes.Result, metadata
*scopes.ActionMetadata) (*scopes.ActivationResponse, error) {

 connStat := metadata.InternetConnectivity()

log.Printf("== dropbox photos. Activate. Conn Status: %d\n",
connStat)

That ^ prints the following, even though network is up and the indicator
shows it as up:

2016/01/26 20:44:54 == dropbox photos. Activate. Conn Status: 0

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1536794] Re: scope preview image on tap not identical to image displayed

2016-01-23 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
We discovered a work around so this is probably invalid and I will mark
it o=so.

The image displayed on tap is apparently not updated in qml (even though
the file on disk has changed) because the source property (the url
pointing to the file) is unchanged. The work around is (in
perform_action) when downloading the high res file to create scope_data
and attach it to the activation response. Then in preview, check that
scope_data (from incoming metadata) and if it indicates the download
happened, modify the source of the art widget (set_attribute_value) by
appending a query parameter ("?downloaded"), which does not change the
path to the file. If that scope data is not set, then just
set_attribute_mapping to of "source" to "art" as done previously. This
works fine.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1537135] [NEW] Configurable (or better) scope preview swipe list

2016-01-22 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

In scopes, when a user navigates to a Preview, they can swipe left or
right to show adjoining result Previews. But, the accessible Previews
are limited to results in the same category.

This limits things undesirably. For example, the News scope design calls
for the first result (in for example Headlines dept) to use a layout
with a big photo and all subsequent results to use a different layout.
This means they are in different categories by definition. If use taps
the first result to show Preview, they cannot swipe to any other
results. If they tap the second result to show its Preview, they cannot
swipe left to the first result.

Maybe a "swipe list" object to which dev can add optinally add
categories? Or some other implementation.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1537142] [NEW] Preview text should be user copyable

2016-01-22 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

There are many cases where a use may want to copy text from a scope
preview, but they are now not able to.

For example, in my dropbox photos scope, in a preview, the user can
click a button to make a shared link to the photo. This shared link is
simply a URL text string. The user would want to copy this to, for
example, put it in email to a friend.

Currently the only way the user can get this string is by opening the
shared link (from a preview button) in the browser, tapping the browser
address bar to display the full text of the url, then copying it.

So either specified preview text or perhaps (preferably) all preview
text should be user copyable.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1537147] [NEW] complete scope "messaging" implementation

2016-01-22 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

Scopes sometimes need to provide a message to a user. Well known cases include:
* Hey, turn your network on!
* Yo, turn on location awareness!

Currently, such "messaging" is up to the scope implementation and the
only option for displaying messages is to post them as results in the
scope itself.

unity8 and the unity-scopes-shell should provide the ability to message
the user such well known messages (and probably others), and those
messages should be translated.

Perhaps there should also be the ability for the scope to provide the
translated message text so we can also support scope-specific,
customized messages.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1537132] [NEW] Result activation should wiggle scope progess bar

2016-01-22 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

Dropbox photos scope uses result activation for various things.

User taps a result, and activate code runs, then Preview shows (for
example)

Problem: After the tap and before the Preview displays, there is no
feedback to the user that anything is happening.

Running activate should automatically wiggle the scope progress bar.

Perhaps an api to opt out of that (don't wiggle) to support appropriate
cases.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1536794] [NEW] scope preview image on tap not identical to image displayed

2016-01-21 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
Public bug reported:

My scope preview art widget displays a high res image. On tap it
displays a low res thumb (the previous version of that file).

@Albert: I sent you the dropbox photos 0.3 dev scope. To reproduce, tap
a result with a thumb (not a generic icon). On preview, tap "Get High
Resolution". It then replaces the thumb on disk with the downloaded high
res image and the Preview redisplays showing the high res. Now tap the
image, and it displays full screen but as the *low res* thumb.

  [nc] Ship Ubuntu Mono .psf as default console font in Ubuntu 11.10

Status in ubuntu-font-family-sources package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Further to bug #724022 ("Wishlist: Enable use of Ubuntu Mono as .psf
  console-setup font"), Mark Shuttleworth requested that that Ubuntu
  Mono bitmaps be used as the default Ubuntu Mono font for console use
  in Ubuntu 11.10.

" fonts-ubuntu-font-family-console … needs to be a dep of
  'ubuntu-standard', and the default mono font for 11.10 please"

  Ubuntu 11.10 Hard Freeze is in 32 hours time. This would require:

1. Upstream release of Ubuntu Font Family 0.80. A release candidate has
been out for a couple of days with no reports of show stoppers
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-font-family/+milestone/0.80)
2. Distro upload of Ubutu Font Family 0.80 minus Medium for oneiric
3. Accepting 'fonts-ubuntu-font-family-console' binary (built from the same
source) into universe
4. Promoting 'fonts-ubuntu-font-family-console' to main
5. MIR for 'otf2bdf'
6. MIR for 'bdf2psf'
7. Adjusting of seeds to add 'fonts-ubuntu-font-family-console' to
'ubuntu-standard'
8. Increasing CD/Image size by 18 kB in all cases. (By not building
Italic/Bold Italic this would decrease to ~10 kB)

  This would get 'consolefonts' installed, but would require users to
  manually install it. This would not require changes to screenshots or
  documentation adjusts as nothing in the default has changed. To
  subsequently set as default would require:

9. '/var/lib/dpkg/info/console-setup.config' adjustments; the desired font
capacity is limited; this sets the particular subset for
Latin/Greek/Cyrillic/Arabic etc. We cannot replace all of these.
10. We don't have sufficient glyph coverage to replace all of these.
11. The snapshot of the hinted Ubuntu Mono fonts from Vincent
Connare/Dalton Maag on 2011-09-22 are a vast improvement, but are still a work
in progress.
12. Regenerating Ubuntu server screenshots
13. Adjusting documentation slightly, although likely minor

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1481240] Re: Can't get correct location information before use other GPS apps

2015-11-30 Thread Kyle Nitzsche
If I have a proper precise (GPS based) location (lat) in a scope
from SearchMetadata.location().latitude()|longitude(), and then disable
Location indicator > Location detection OR GPS, then reenable it and
refresh the scope, I never get a precise location back. I am stuck with
geo IP derived location.

To demo this, I wrote a simple scope that merely gets the lat and long
and logs it, or a message if ! has_location().

Here's the relevant code:

void Query::run(us::SearchReplyProxy const& reply)
{
if (!metadata_.has_location())
{
qDebug() << "LOCTEST: no location: " +
QDateTime::currentDateTime().toString();
return;
}
try{
auto lat = metadata_.location().latitude();
auto lng = metadata_.location().longitude();
qDebug() << "LOCTEST: lat long: " + QString::number(lat) + " " +
QString::number(lng) + " " + QDateTime::currentDateTime().toString();
} catch(unity::scopes::NotFoundException ) {
qWarning() << " Warning: Could not get location.";
}
}

Query::Query(const us::CannedQuery , const us::SearchMetadata & metadata,
const QVariant accessToken, QString const& cacheDir_) :
SearchQueryBase(query, metadata),
metadata_(metadata),
cannedQuery(query),
query_(query.query_string()),
accessToken_(accessToken),
cacheDir_(cacheDir_)
{

}

Here are the results from scope-registry log grepped with LOCTEST.

COMMENT: still geo IP based. So, all location indicator settings are on,
location is enabled in scope, but still: geo IP.

I don't know whether this is a problem with the scope framework using a
stale location in this case or if it is an underlying problem with the
location service not understanding that it was re enabled, getting a new
location, and refreshing unity...

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1437814] Re: artifacting in some apps

2015-11-12 Thread Christopher Kyle Horton
Ran into black corners on rounded CSD headerbars on Ubuntu 15.10 like in
the above screenshot, and have not found any way to get rid of them
through modifying the theme files. The problem is especially pronounced
when using Radiance, where the visual glitch really clashes with the
otherwise white titlebar.

Bug description:
  In the "Today" scope ("Oggi" in italian) there are wrong italian
  translations. What in english is "holiday", in Italy is "festività" -
  you can't call it "vacanza" (singular) or "vacanze" (plural).

  "Vacanze" is similar to "holiday", but in this particular context
  "festività" is the right translation.

  I'm using Aquaris e4.5 with Ubuntu 14.10 (r19).

  PS: I'm member of Ubuntu italian translators, but I can't find where
  "Today" scope translations' are.

Status in Ubuntu UX:

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  A handy feature of music players is the ability to quickly skip tracks
  by long-pressing the volume buttons. This allows users to control
  their music without having to take the device out of their pocket,
  turn its screen on, unlock it, go to the music app and press "Next".

  As of now, when I long press the volume button, it rapidly increases
  the volume, which is not very nice to my ears ;-)

  Is it possible to control the music app this way on Ubuntu phone?

  Music app version tested: 2.2.910 (2015-09-03)
  Device: Meizu MX 4
  System info: Ubuntu 15.04 (r4)
