same patch for the same bug in gtk2-engines-murrine. Signed source package at http://people.ubuntu.com/~vorlon/gtk2-engines-murrine/. There is no package in gutsy (source or binary) named clearlooks, and the gtk2-engines package which provides the clearlooks engine in gutsy has no theme named Baltix that I can see. Regardless of whether a workaround in gimp would be suitable, these crashers in the gtk engines should still be fixed since they can be triggered by any arbitrary app theme or user gtkrc that sets GtkOptionMenu::indicator_spacing. ** Attachment added: gtk2-engines-murrine_0.53.1-0ubuntu2.debdiff http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9800592/gtk2-engines-murrine_0.53.1-0ubuntu2.debdiff -- crashes when using the small theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131564 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 133567] Re: nautilus hangs on accessing vfat drives - statfs() blocks for a long time
Hi, wusch [2007-10-04 19:33 -]: It now hangs on right click - properties. That is known. However, I feel that it is better for the dialog to take a minute to appear and display correct results than to break this as well. After a few minutes, the dialog does not hang any more anyway. OTOH the 'free space' message is put into the browser dialog immediately, there is no chance for delaying this. And it does not show the free space left on the drive, so it is not really a good solution I think. It is not intended to be a solution. But since there is no way to fix the Gutsy kernel in time, we have to live with this hack, I'm afraid. -- nautilus hangs on accessing vfat drives - statfs() blocks for a long time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133567 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I wonder if you can stop the boot process and see if it makes a difference if you modify a file. pass break=init to the kernel (F6 in the liveCD) and rw instead of ro (I hope it has no unintended consequences) hopefully it will get into a shell before running the init scripts if you leave that shell everything should boot up as before if this works try the same thing but once in the shell modify /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc to not launch xfdesktop4 in the background (remove ) or you could try other thing in that script, puttin a sleep 4 before lauching panel maybe with one of the mods the panel will come up I suspect some race between the xfce apps at startup which only appears due to the CDs slow read times. -- [gutsy] [beta] xubuntu panel pager missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Canon Pixma MP160 connected via USB port with Canon Drivers installed. The Black Ink cartridge ran out so I took it out after a print job had paused. The Job Never finished. I don't remember if it was because I rebooted or not but every bootup thereafter would show the print spooler icon up, but no jobs would be present. The CPU's would have very wierd usage in the sys monitor. Under the resources tab in the system monitor where you can see the history of the CPU it would look like a parabola with an asymtote around the 50% mark. CPU 2 would typically run at 100% and CPU1 would run ~2%. As applications increased cpu usage on CPU1, CPU2 would decrease until 50% and then restart at 100% with full CPU usage on both cpus. This continued until I unplugged the printer from the usb port which refreshed the Spooler and showed the document that was pending. Powering the Printer off had no effect prior to unplugging it. [Bug 126592] Re: resolv.conf overwritten on dhcp renew when using NetworkManager vpn plugins
A not so nice work-around is to edit /sbin/dhclient-script and comment out the line mv -f $new_resolv_conf /etc/resolv.conf then restart networking. Your settings, if any, from /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf will now appear in resolv.conf and dhclient will stop overwriting it. /sbin/dhclient-script appears to be a duplicate of /etc/dhcp3/dhclient- script. Can anyone suggest why there are two copies of this script? This is just a work-around. The real problem appears to be in dhclient and it ignoring the prepend domain-name-servers and supersede domain- name-servers some time after a restart. When first initialized, dhclient will put the correct information into resolv.conf, but later, some 10-15 mintues or so, dhclient looks at your router/cable modem and clobbers resolv.conf with the information for it. -- resolv.conf overwritten on dhcp renew when using NetworkManager vpn plugins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126592 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 137247] Re: libpam-keyring broken on autologins
I have the same problem, two dialogs on autologin, zero without autologin. libpam_keyring (or whatever it's called, we're all talking about the same...) works if I don't use autologin. I guess the problem is that if no password is entered, the keyring cannot be opened. That's why gdm needs to get a password. The two dialog problem, comes from the fact that a second keyring called login is created, if you choose to have it opened at login (see the first dialog box). This login keyring, opens the default keyring (or something like that), which in turn holds your keys for NM. If no password is provided (autologin), the login keyring is not opened, and neither is default. I guess it's a bug that login doesn't open default if it's provided with the password. But the behavior is more or less understandable... ./Troels -- libpam-keyring broken on autologins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
