As far as I can say, the dialog itself works as intended. [Bug 1962346] [NEW] Ubuntu reboots instead of powering off if a software updates exists
Public bug reported: When I want to turn off a computer, I got a checkbox "Install deferred updates" (see screenshot, I'm not sure if my back-translation is correct). If the checkbox is checked, Ubuntu box reboots instead of powering off. It is not "rebopot to install updates". It just reboots to desktop again. If I uncheck the box, it powers off normally. [Bug 1909037] [NEW] Weird sorting occurs on numbers sequence filenames
Public bug reported: I have a lot of files from the camera, named ACE_0001.nef, ACE_0002.nef and so on. I imported these files into darktable. Darktable places a corresponding xmp file near every nef file, resulting in ACE_0001.nef.xmp, ACE_0002.nef.xmp and so on. The bug: when I select LowDPI monitor as a primary, XWayland applications stop scaling on a HiDPI monitor. They run 100% scale on both monitors. If I select HiDPI monitor as the primary, XWayland applications scales fine — 200% on the primary monitor and 100% on the secondary. [Bug 1877589] [NEW] Wayland windows does not redraw itself
Public bug reported: I'm not sure, if it is not a bug of certain Wayland applications. Under Ubuntu 20.04, Gnome 3.36, some Wayland-native applications, namely Audacity(2.3.3) and Firefox (76.0), does not redraw themselves unless I change their size, or switch to another window or overview. For example, audacity does not redraw current position marker, and I need to click with a mouse, or resize the window to see it. Firefox sometimes just freeze, until I click or until I resize its window, or I switch to overview. What kind of trace shoud I perform to obtain more information? [Bug 1811570] [NEW] Ubiquity format partition on filesystem change even "format" is not set. Potential data loss.
Public bug reported: For some reason, Ubiquity recognized my ext4 partition as ext2. So I set up the proper filesystem type - ext4, proper mount point, and didn't (checked it twice) set a checkbox "format partition". After installation the partition was formatted. Steps to reproduce: 0. Set up a virtual machine, to avoid actual data loss. 1. Create a test partition with an ext2 filesystem. 2. Store some test data on it. 3. Run Ubiquity installer and create some other partitions needed to install Ubuntu. 4. Set a mountpoint for the test partition, change a filesystem type, do not set "format partition" checkbox. 5. Install Ubuntu. Expected result: Test data will be stored on a test partittion, Ubuntu will fail to boot due to filesystem mismatch. Actual result: Test partititon will be empty. This issue can be resolved in two ways: 1. If formatting partition should be be mandatory, the checkbox "format partition" must be set up and disabled, so the user will know, that the partition will be formatted. 2. If formatting partition is not mandatory, then Ubiquity shouldn't format the partition. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "partman" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1811570/+attachment/5228836/+files/partman -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1811570 Title: Ubiquity format partition on filesystem change even "format" is not set. [Bug 1786233] [NEW] Can't rename a desktop file
Public bug reported: Nautilus allows to rename any generic file, including the extension part. For example, I can rename "Image.jpeg" to "Image.jpg" or even "Image.png" which is not right, but still possible. Dekstop files are different. If I try to rename firefox.desktop to firefox.txt in order to edit this file manually, I can't do so, because nautilus always add desktop extension. If I accidentially rename regular file to a desktop file, I can't rename it back, because Nautilus throw an error, that this desktop file has a wrong format (obviously because it is not a desktop file). ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1786233 Title: Can't rename a desktop file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1786233/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1734745] [NEW] NM assumes avahi ip addres and default gw for disconnected device
Public bug reported: I have an Ubuntu 17.10 box with WiFi and Ethernet devices. The ethernet device is not connected at all. The WiFi is connected to WiFi network. The problem is, the connection drops itself after a while. I did some research and find out, the NM creates a new connection for the ethernet device, assuming Avahi IP for that connection, actually making this device a default route in a routing table. Thus, all outgoing packets are going through a non-connected ethernet device instead of gateway in WiFi network. See commands output for details. If I delete that default route manually, re-run dhclient to get a new route or disconnect enp9s0 using NM, the internet start working again. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "commands_output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1734745/+attachment/5015325/+files/commands_output -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1734745 Title: NM assumes avahi ip addres and default gw for disconnected device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1734745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1440884] Re: ktorrent shows the icon only when downloading
OK, this is not a tkorrent bug. Ktorrent sets icon as actvie while download and as passive otherwise: ktorrent/trayicon.cpp:152 status_notifier_item-setStatus(core-getQueueManager()-getNumRunning(QueueManager::DOWNLOADS) 0 ? [Bug 1157276] [NEW] Fullscreen windows are not fully fullscreen
Public bug reported: Fullscreen windows are not really a fullscreen — there is a 1px lag between the window and the border of the screen. [Bug 372141] [NEW] Some apps set Primary Buffer with auto select
Public bug reported: There are two buffers in X.org — the Primary Buffer and the Clipboard Buffer, as described here: http://www.jwz.org/doc/x-cut-and-paste.html But lots of programs, like x-chat or azureus, or any other (all are GTK- based, so I think, it is a GTK feature) or even gnome-run dialog push a text into primary buffer even whet it's auto selected, like autocompletion in gnome-run or autoselect fo the servers in x-chat's server list. Such behavior makes primary buffer unuseable, because autoselected text usually doesn't make sense, but corrupt primary buffer. The proper behavior, for my mind, is to push the text into primary buffer only with the user input like mouse selection. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some apps set Primary Buffer with auto select https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372141 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

OK, according this conversation, I set up eth0 with system interface disabled, close the network-manager windows, open it again and set system interface to enable. Only after that policy-tool asked me for sudo password, so I think, that the problem is, that network-manager does not update system-wide config file every time it alter the network settings.
