Re: [Bug 580295] Re: Unity: Alt-F2 not working
There are a large number of documents out there the describe Alt+F2 as a means to enter a command. Why should this functionality not be available with Unity? Personally, if Alt+F2 is to be enhanced, I'd take a look at OS X's Spotlight for an example of good usability. Re: [Bug 580295] Re: Unity: Alt-F2 not working
@papukaija: Then the Unity documentation should state that it will offer significantly reduced functionality compared to the status quo on Gnome. I don't want to get off-point on this bug, but IMO, Unity is a big step backwards for Linux on the Desktop. [Bug 423252] Re: NSS using LDAP on Karmic breaks 'su' and 'sudo'
Howard, a quick google didn't show much other than package info for libnss-ldapd. Do you have any links to documentation that might be of use? [Bug 544526] Re: Downloads do not progress beyond tranferring to Ubuntu One storage
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 551755 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551755 This bug is older, however the other bug has official comment from Canonical discussing their progress towards a fix for this issue. Thus I believe that bug to be more complete, hence marking this as a duplicate of that bug. [Bug 327193] Re: acpi-cpufreq reports No Such Device (Jaunty)
You know, I'm not really sure when it got fixed, but my system on Karmic is now regulating CPU speed properly. [Bug 484527] Re: Evince display error: page tears when scrolling
I can also confirm this issue and confirm that disabling compiz fixes it.
