[Bug 138465] Re: CPU frequency gets stuck at the lowest frequency after resume from suspend (ThinkPad T60p)
I had the same problem with mine, where it was pegged at 2800Mhz. ("current policy: frequency should be within 2.80 GHz and 2.80 GHz.") Try the following: For each of your processor cores: Core 0: sudo cpufreq-set -c 0 -d 800Mhz -u 2800Mhz Core 1: sudo cpufreq-set -c 1 -d 800Mhz -u 2800Mhz etc., where 800Mhz is the lowest your CPU can go, and 2800Mhz is the highest, as reported by cpufreq-info. [Bug 269656] Re: AN IRRELEVANT LICENSE IS PRESENTED TO YOU FREE-OF-CHARGE ON STARTUP
As far as retaining a trademark, I believe the requirement is that it not fall into common use, IE 'Kleenex', etc. (Hence Kleenex-Brand tissues), or 'Google' (as a verb), and that the company assert dominance over the name (hence the previous scandal over not being allowed to use the name Google as a verb). I'm pretty sure that this trademark dominance is accomplished simply by naming the applications Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird, and this is clearly stated in the User-Agent, the Titlebar, and the Help > About... screen. Although I'm not against an EULA, I would like to see Ubuntu work with Mozilla to come up with a special version that doesn't include all the extraneous wording, or as suggested previously, to show a common-sense EULA, and link to the full EULA if the user wants (something like about:eula) -- AN IRRELEVANT LICENSE IS PRESENTED TO YOU FREE-OF-CHARGE ON STARTUP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269656 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 91019] /var mounts as read-only
Public bug reported: /var mounts as read-only in Ubuntu Edgy, last update was about two weeks ago. /var is ext3, would this be some kind of safety feature, if there is a problem with bad sectors or whatnot? True. I installed Ubuntu fine with my 6800, just no accelleration. I really didn't notice the lack of accelleration until I tried some OpenGL screensavers.
