[Bug 921861] [NEW] Gedit autosave backup seem to be the wrong way around?
Public bug reported: What I'm seeing: With autosave and backup checked: Autosave overwrites the original file. With this enabled, and backup checked, the backup file is updated when the user clicks save. This means that explicitly unsaved changes are written to the original (by autosave) and not to the (or a) backup (where one might expect to find unsaved changes?). What it seems like would make more sense: Shouldn't autosave actually be autobackup? In other words, unsaved changes would automatically be written to a backup file every few minutes, and then only written over the original once the user clicked save. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/921861 Title: Gedit autosave backup seem to be the wrong way around? [Bug 890708] Re: add-apt-repository: confirmation question is a CLI UI regression, breaking scripts
With the package from proposed the option FORCE_ADD_APT_REPOSITORY=1 is works perfeclty for me. There is no prompt, that's why it could be used in old scripts. Verification successfully. ** Description changed: TEST CASE: - 1. run add-apt-repository ppa:mvo + 1. run: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mvo 2. verify that it prompts - 3. install software-properties from lucid-proposed - 4. run FORCE_ADD_APT_REPOSITORY=1 add-apt-repository ppa:mvo + 3. install software-properties from oneiric-proposed + 4. run: sudo FORCE_ADD_APT_REPOSITORY=1 add-apt-repository ppa:mvo 5. verify that it does *not* prompt The addition in oneiric of a confirmation question as the default behavior for add-apt-repository is a change in behavior which breaks all scripts that were using add-apt-repository and most every code snippet on the web which explains how to install software from a PPA. (the instructions still work in sequence, but if someone wants to just highlight three lines which add the repo, run update, and then install the package, the second two get eaten by the prompt) Additionally, although there is a new -y option which enables the old behavior, this option did not exist in pre-oneiric, it becomes quite klunky to write system automation scripts which work across releases. [Bug 647501] Re: Use of USB webcam disconnects wireless USB adaptor when launched
I can confirm that latest ubuntu/kubuntu version that was OK with this issue was 9.04. I also have Chicony integrated USB webcam on toshiba satellite notebook. This issue is present on my notebook on all ubuntu/kubuntu releases starting with 9.10 (even on precise 12.04 amd64 daily build from 25.01.2011). I am currently using amd64 platform of kubuntu 11.10. Beside crashing wireless connection, it disconnects all USB external disks. Only reboot helps. This disconnection on USB external disks can be very dangerous and lead to loss of data, so I think that this bug is not medium. If you need any more info, I can provide logs and system info. I can also test patch if available. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/647501 Title: Use of USB webcam disconnects wireless USB adaptor when launched To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/647501/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If yes, check your setting if rythmbox, or the system defaut, use the good one. - Re-install g-streamer and it plugin via synaptic (like full remove + install if you can) - Re-install rythmbox via synaptic like g-streamer - logout and then login - try it... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/397552 Title: [Solved 50%] Rhythmbox crash (no sound, but the interface contunue to work) after , and exactly after,3 song, whatever it play... [Bug 917808] Re: CVE-2011-0006
** Changed in: linux-fsl-imx51 (Ubuntu Lucid) Status: New = Invalid ** Description changed: A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Integrity Measurement Architecture (IMA) implementation. When SELinux was disabled, adding an IMA rule which was supposed to be processed by SELinux would cause ima_match_rules() to always succeed, ignoring any remaining rules. - Break-Fix: - 867c20265459d30a01b021a9c1e81fb4c5832aa9 + Break-Fix: 3323eec921efd815178a23107ab63588c605c0b2 + 867c20265459d30a01b021a9c1e81fb4c5832aa9 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/917808 Title: CVE-2011-0006 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/917808/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
