[Bug 59144] Evolution still warn for a moved (repeating) appointment
Public bug reported: I have a repeating (weekly) appointment ever Wed, 10:30. Two days ago I moved the appointment of today (Sep, Wed 6) to 16:00; evolution correctly asked me if I did want to change all of just this occurence, I said just this, and closed. Today evolution warned me, even if in the calendar page there is no such appointment. I have a shot that explain this perfectly (you know, one image is better than a thousand words...). ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Evolution still warn for a moved (repeating) appointment https://launchpad.net/bugs/59144 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 59144] Re: Evolution still warn for a moved (repeating) appointment
I have another screenshot for you. What happens is: - the hour on the (moved) appointment show up correctly. BUT: - I have the reminder for the (now not existing) appointment. Not only: - I did some quite test before, by defining 1-day or 1-week or weekly forever appointment, and deleted them _after_ moving one occurence (delete all occurences on the moved one), but the reminder of the ghost appointment still is here. Notice that the edit box has been opened by clicking on the daily schedule entry; pressing Edit on the appointment reminder does nothing (quite logically, the appointment did not exist anymore). I suspect evolution-alarm-notify (and/or evolution/evolution-alarm- notify communication) for this one. Romano PS can I abuse a bit? Can you point to me to some guide/tutorial on how to keep in sync calendar/contacts between the evolution on my three pcs (portable, work, home)? [Bug 45033] Re: Resizing calendar items twice crashes Evolution
Oops. Sorry for the above silly comment. It happened to me too; but I discovered that in a freshly created user, virgin calendar it does not occur. To reproduce, I need to import a .ics file (will attach, nothing private here) from an old version of evolution. To reproduce: Import the attached calendar.ics file Go to 5th july. Move the reuniĆ³n... entry to 12:30 (with the mouse) Try to extend the other entry ..junta Sometime it works. [Bug 52510] Multi-function pcmcia card: only function 0 detected.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pcmciautils I know this bug-report has quite few data. I will add lspci -vv and more information as requested later. Basically, I have a 3com/Megahertz pcmcia card which has an ethernet and a modem into it. A freshly installed ubuntu did not recognize it at all. Then digging a bit I did: cp /etc/pcmcia/cis/3CXEM556.dat /lib/firmware/3CXEM556.cis and now (after pccardctl eject / insert) the function 0, ethernet, is recognized and working. Unfortunately the modem function (which is the one I really need) is not working. I tried loading serial_cs, but tat did not do the trick. The card worked perfectly in mandriva 2005, which I wiped out to install Dapper... ;-) ** Affects: pcmciautils (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Multi-function pcmcia card: only function 0 detected. https://launchpad.net/bugs/52510 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

But if tracker directly call untex you're right. Im not sure I want to change that yet as indexing unfiltered files might lead to garbage going into the index (that applies to all files that need filtering and not just tex ones) That lead to the question I started the the thread with: why I had just 3 latex files indexed when grep found 24 occurrences? I see how that could have been 0 (no untex --- no index), but why the partial result? Ok, installed untex and checked, rebuilt the database (re-index), still no joy. But: (0)rukbat:~/research/ferrite% grep Jiles */*.tex */*/*.tex | wc -l 29 29 *just* .tex file in that subdirectory. So, untex is immaterial to this problem. I am not sure about it, because I am running Edgy --- I have a bit of fear to upgrade, this quite an old machine and I am thru a period in which I need it working 24x7... But: 1) I had an private mail interchange with a Feisty user with the same card; it worked after I sent him the .cis file and instructed to put it in the right place; I dug the file out of the old cardmgr package. I do not know how to check if it is a Feisty or user problem; 2) I am now running a vanilla 2.6.21.2 and e card works, alhough it has another problem with a 60 seconds delay in resume, see http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/5/23/38 and related threads. Ben, I am willing to help to test this. I have a similar laptop to the one of venky (toshiba U305), vendor-id 0x1179, 0xff50, and I am running Feisty with a vanilla (Linus') 2.6.23-rc9 kernel, plus I have tried various alsa drivers. I want to be sure to do the right thing, so... * I recompile the drivers (./configure --with-cards=hda-intel) * I have alsa lib 1.0.14 installed; someone on the lkml list told me that's ok to test reinstalling just the kernel modules, is it true? * My sound sort-of-work with 1.0.15-rcX, last hg snapshot (20071002), and the last realtek driver (4.06c), autodetected as model=toshiba. The problem is with the very lousy quality of recording, given in my opinion for the persistent problem of the huge dc offset in input (there are snaphsot and plenty of details on the alsa-bug 3104), which is not resolved. * I tried to test model=3stack and model=acer with the procedure: - Install the new driver (as above) - /etc/init.d alsasound stop (a couple of times, first one fails) - modify /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base adding model=... to the options snd-hda-intel line - restart alsa by modprobe snd-hda-intel (and resetting and setting all the mixer values). Till now, no drivers has the sufficient quality in microphone input to make a Skype call possible. If I can help test patches, please tell me. Should I try 5stack? Just try to start recording with audacity and see if changed mic level you have a continuos value varying with it... and saturating the input at high levels. -- No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Venky: The HG snapshot is at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/alsa/snapshot/driver Mahdi: 2.6.23-rc5 do suspend to ram perfectly with s2ram -f -p -m, no patches needed. Someone told me that the failure with previous kernels is SATA-related, but I lost the reference. Venky, I had the same problem; I just recompiled the driver and installed it. Lib, utils etc are at 1.0.14. -- No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 116326] Re: No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577
Modem seems to work, but it simply responds to AT commands, on connection it fails with NO CARRIER. Do not try releases... I think it's better to try the current driver --- the tight interdependencies between driver, lib and utils should be a thing of the past, Linus himself ruled that out sometime ago. And the current 2.6.23-rc6 claims al268 support, but without toshiba quirks, so that it will not work for us. By the way, I'm running i386 SMP.
Venky: no I am not using any patch. No problem till now... (well, minus the offset value of mic input). Mahdi: Unfortunately what I understand from this interchange of messages on lkml: http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/9/5/166 is that the changes (acer and toshiba quirks went in after 1.0.14 both) are considered too risky for mainline 2.6.23. So I suppose that our sound will not be supported in mainline till 2.6.24. I tried to mildly object this, but you know, developers have (correctly) the last word. -- No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Anyone looking at the microphone issue?
